This woman is a Russian work of art and the interviewer is not even capable of asking relevant questions to her let alone understand her wise quote about the versatility of a piano. I am sure he doesn't even know why she calls it a "Schlaginstrument" which is of course because of the hammers hitting the strings. Her quote is intrinsically (emotionally) correct and there is no way to show this but there is a way to hear it and to feel it. She wisely refrained from showing him what he can't fee and she was smart enough to detect his ignorance and leave it at that. Olga Scheps, what a wonderful piano player!
Here is this vision of physical gorgeousness and pianistic greatness and there are only 2,863 views. IMO, this woman already is and will remain forever one of the very greatest pianists alive. She's incredibly good!
And look what amount of views Justin Bieber will get . It's really stomach-turning for what passes for talent, and what is real genuine talent, with all the study, determination, and discipline that classical music demands of a performer.
If an artist truly understands and feels what Satie portrayed in his music, something wonderful and magical arises. I feel that Olga Scheps does exactly that. Her whole body seems to be lost in the music and I can listen and watch her for hours. EDIT: Just listened to the interview again and realised that the man hasn't got a clue what she is talking about when she says that she can make a piano be any instrument - even a voice. What a terrible shame to waste an interview with such a talented person when the interviewer doesn't understand.
@@switterbeet - it's actually a cultural TV programme in Germany which is normally quite good. I live in Germany and watch the programme quite often and this is the worst interview I have ever seen on it.
Arme Olga!
WHERE THE HAY ARE THE SUB-TITLES????????????? DON'T UNDERSTAND A WORD HERE. CRAP. I DON'T SPEAK GERMAN. WHAT ABOUT US PEOPLE ? SHE PLAYS DIVINE BUT I DON'T UNDERSTAND A THING HERE.
@@lambda1690 I am an American, and this idiots attitude is why I can barely stand to live here. I'll bet you anything she's a Trumpanzee. They think all that matters is whatever they want right fucking now. The all caps makes for a really strong argument though, right?
did she rush through tho? I feel as though she was more mechanically reciting at points rather than really feeling through and taking time on this piece of music. I guess you risk that happening when you get that good...

Perhaps the most beautiful video of you. Non the music, but you...

Wonderful
SIMPLEMENTE SUBLIME .
Couldn't you find an extra chair? It's so uncomfortable for Olga and for me as well. Tasteless!!
She's so fit
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
8:27 Ja bei Prokoview...Krach ist es nicht, aber es geht manchmal in die RIchtung :D
Me gustas un monton!
I presume they had lack of chairs in the studio during the interview. Annoying in my opinion.
Is this really the most important thing?
@@VendelinSadlo It's fairly important, because it's creepy.
Eres la mejor
¿Quien dijo eso?
^..^~~
Tu mamá
Olga, play DirtyOldMan please.
I prefer Reinbert de Leeuw's REAL LENT interpretation. But Olga's is cool, too
Would you marry me? =) What a beautiful woman and she is a pianist. What better other combination could exist?
It looks uncomfortable.
I am embarrassed for her with that old guy sitting so close ogling her. She is brilliant of course.

I didn't have the impression.
maybe something fell on your head - e.g. a piano or big truck? otherwise you could not say that
