There should be a "Miami Vice" marathon in 2024, as it is celebrating the show's 40th Anniversary!
An intense performance by Ed O'Neill showcasing the range of his talents.
2:43 is the most exciting part!
This is better than "Falcon Crest", and it's no wonder that "The Dukes Of Hazzard" ended its' run in 1985, after seven seasons!
Artie's outburst after beating up that buyer shows how much of a good actor Ed was, even if it was a serious role such as that of Artie.

The program times were in PT, because if you notice the 6PM start time for Monday Night Football is live, expect for Seattle that carried it on a one hour tape delay. Prime time usually is 8-11PM Monday thru Saturday, and 7-11PM on Sunday, with the exception of "Welcome Back Kotter" and "Operation: Petticoat" airing between 6-7PM on Sundays. New shows at that time were capitalized. CBS and NBC also had some great shows, except for "All In The Family" when Rob Reiner ("Meathead"), and Sally Struthers (Archie's Little Girl) left the show at the end of season 8. New shows include "WKRP" and "Kaz", as well as "The Paper Chase". NBC renewed "CHiP's" for season 2, but the only success of that season was "Centennial". However, back at ABC, "Starsky & Hutch" moved from Wednesday to Tuesday, and "Vega$" aired there, and was an overnight hit, along with "Battlestar Galactica" on Sunday after "The Hardy Boys"! This made Glen A. Larson proud! Way to go to him and Aaron Spelling!
Miami Vice kicked off with a bang with a Pilot and took it to the next level with this following episode. This was Ed O’Neill , who would later in the 80’s hit big with the comedy Married with Children, with his 2nd appearance as a serious character the other being a corrupt Parole Officer in Hunter which came out same year as this episode.
One of my favorite episode every time!

Gary Richardson, the actor that's playing Russo, the FBI agent, was one of my acting teachers in college at FAU boca raton, fl... I was also fortunate enough to have the great Joshua Logan as my musical theater professor--

@@chaza.2891 well, gary, the actor here, was our acting teacher, but joshua logan was more a lecturer, they were both very effective and cool--

the second episode of MIAMI VICE
It's actually the 3rd episode....the pilot episode was split in two....pilot was supposed to be a two hour episode, but later on, the re-runs noted it as episode one and two which make "heart of darkness" episode 3
Tubbs got 7 shots out of a 6 shot revolver....hahahahha
First 4 episodes were ok. Then Michael Mann left it only got better.
Mann didn’t leave after 4 episodes
