- Pagan Moon is an American animated short film. It is a Merrie Melody cartoon, possibly released on January 31, 1932, although one source gives January 23[1] as the date of release and another[2] only lists it under the years 1931-1932. Like most Merrie Melodies of the time, it was directed by Rudolf Ising and is named after a song prominently featured in the short. Frank Marsales was its musical director.

Even though this is in black and white, it's still one of my favorites and I enjoy watching it. I wish they play these a lot more on television again but I know that's not going to happen.
I just miss being a young kid and miss living in the 1980s, back then everything was so simple and easier Plus they had everything played on television. It's not like today

So it’s a Bosko short but racist to Hawaiians instead of African Americans.
I'm black myself, Bosko is not even racist, it's just the design that's bad.
There's no stereotypes from the Bosko shorts. Also this short isn't racist, or at least not extremely.
I can consider Bosko technically the first black character.
