Cacao mostly grows around South and West of Africa and Middle to South America Area but can be grown elsewhere in your own home or in a greenhouse Cacao love plenty of rain water and humidity, they love sunshine and light, the love a temperature between 18 and 35 Celsius. (In Scotland we measure temperature in Celsius) Cacao Cannot be grown in the north or south poles (polar regions) Cacao takes 3 to 5 years from seed to start producing pods which take 5 to 6 months to fully ripe and mature prior to harvesting Cacao does not like too much fertiliser and there is more info on that on google regarding fertiliser amounts, durations and types The most popular Cacao Tree species is the Forastero Cacao used by lots of chocolate companies worldwide Other plants like Coconut, Almond and even Coffee have very similar facts and information and the river in the same conditions taking the exact same amount of times to grow fruits Ivory Coast is the African Country with the most Cacao industry with the most harvest and exports to big well known companies and confectionery firms around the world
