Let me guess, you saw the show the weekend of April 20/21. I waited in an unmoving line until 10 minutes to curtain, and when I learned no Eden, I decided to return another day. Add the fact it was running so late & I was done. I didn't want to be that person who wasn't up for understudies, they are usually fantastic, but I purchased my ticket months in advance for Eden. And no Amber either, I was out (4/21). I returned a couple weeks later, the full cast performed, and it was worth the wait. I thought it was a fantastic, intriguing, visually stunning show. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I would recommend it to anyone who appreciates something different, off the beaten path, but of course it is closing. I am glad to have had the privilege & opportunity to see it & will purchase the recording.
She wasn’t a lesbian painter.. she was a bisexual women.whom was a painter unfortunately it got very lost in this broadway season.. it is one of the only originally musicals (sans suffs) that is not on a movie, book or an album
You hated SUFFS?? SUFFS was great. Much more solid score than LEMPICKA. I was sucked right in from the first song with SUFFS. With LEMPICKA was confused right from the start with that Russian revolution mess (and why is she wearing all that clothing in the LA heat, made no sense). LEMPICKA was the best designed show this season but also the messiest. Where SUFFS was poorly designed but had a great book and score.

Love your perspective. But I still loved Lempicka. Messy? Maybe. But it grabbed me from beginning to end.
Very insightful review. Thank you.
I saw the first act of Lempicka.
You should randomly rant about the Xbox 360 in 2024
