If you noticed, the pools aren't that far down. Dig in the bright blue area, which is about 3 color layers down from the top. There will be pocket areas, which are dark brown, almost black-colored blocks, surrounding the translucent lavendar pools. Sometimes you can run into a whole vein of the magic pools together. Also note, make sure to click on the bucket before you go down. Click on the home when you fill the bucket, because as soon as you go to the top, the empty bucket won't be there/ it will make you exit the dig site and reenter back, to see the empty bucket again next to the wooden sign. When you go down to the blue layered blocks, it is helpful to dig around the outer blocks first before making your way to the middle of them. Hope this helps. ^_^ (also having a private server helps) ^_^

the diamond tools are available in the pet index rewards. they usually sell for around 3,120 index tokens. index tokens are granted for every type of pet you collect. (ex: gold cat, rb cat, shiny gold cat, etc.)
I have an idea to mine efficiently. On the top you dig down 2 like normally but after you clear that area you dig down 2 cause you probably found all the chests or pools there just keep doing that until you either reach the bottom or it resets
