G'Day, My Lovely, Great to see a video from you. I love long dangling earrings, the way that they sway to me is poetry in motion with such a grand feel to it. Love the colours as they are so different from the more standard ones we so often see. I sometimes forget about using super duos in Beading and when you see a design using them you realise that they are indeed a very versitile Bead. They make good supportive Beads for other types and give a strong visual appeal to any design, it also gives the design a very casual look. I might dive deep into the Abyss of my Bead box and search for my super duo Beads. I like to do small projects as little breaks while doing my big competition designs. It helps to clear those nasty cobwebs that love to clog up the little grey cells in the creative zone. Particularly when like at the moment I am having a bit of a brain freeze and my chubby little fingers, are not working with the pictures in my creative zone. Thanks for the wonderful video and I look forward to seeing what you have in mind to do next. Will chat soon and as always......Blessings XXXOOOOO
Hi Chris, nice to chat with you again! I love your statement, :dive deep into the Abyss of my Bead box" because it sooooo sounds like me, LOL. Hope your fingers start working again (been there) and that you have a great time beading. Cheers! :D
Very pretty design. I esp. like the second color combo you shared. I like the black and red sample with 11/0's too 'cuz I have loads of 11/0's. Will play around with the 11/0 design first. Are you using Miyuki 15/0's? Hope so. I just ordered a bunch of iris colors and metal colors in 15/0 so I can make this earring design in the example you demo'd. TFS!
Hi Michelle, I'm sorry to say that I did not use the standard tube-shaped Miyuki beads, but the round Miyuki's would work great! The tube-shaped ones could certainly work, you just might get a slightly different look when using them -- but I'll bet the result would be pretty!!!! :D
Oh, not to worry. I'm learning to adapt when I don't have the exact bead used in a design. I needed the 15/0's for other projects anyway. Thanks for your quick reply.
Hi! I prefer to use Fireline, especially when I am using size 15 seed beads. But you could use any thread that is relatively thin. One-G or K-O thread would probably work fine.
Why do you skip steps at the end and not do the whole earring step by step? It's hard to go back and repeat what you did on the other end if you haven't done this before.
Hi Janet, I do this because if I did it all, the video would be at least double the time as it is now. And, watching me do the same steps over and over can get a bit repetitious. Sorry that it made it hard for you, but best wishes! :)
Love this video. Very clear and easy to follow. Good close up quality.
Thank you, Linda! :)
Beautiful design. You're an inspiration! Thank you for making these videos.
Hi Gina, You are very welcome! Thank you for taking the time to comment. :)
Love those colors.
Thank you! :)
