It was holidays when I heard the new of Jims passing. I remember going into my room and crying for what seemed like forever. What a humble and inspiring person we was. I would of been absolutely honoured to have met this man. He will forever be in my and many others hearts. This has been typed by a 12 year old boy from a small town in qld.I will never forget this amazing man. R.I.P Jimmy. I will never forget you.
What a brilliant and inspiring man. He cared so much about the things he loved, whether it be football, his family or just helping people. He followed his dream, and excelled at what he did, just by giving 110% in everything. I think I stand for everyone here when I say that I am proud to have witnessed the life of Jim Stynes, a truly great man and one set an example on how to live our lives. He didn't complain about his condition, in fact more often than not he had a smile on his face. R.I.P.
deepest condolences to Jimmy's family... such a big loss.. a huge legend with a huge heart.. never stopped giving.. thankyou for all you did for our Aussie youth through your Reach program... you will be very sadly missed.. :(.... Rest in Peace Jimmy, all of Australia loves! you.
Until you have lost someone with cancer you never know the suffering for the person and their family. My condolences to Jimmy Stynes and his family. RIP mate you will always be remembered as one of the greatest. PenningtonBlue
jimmyboy you are a legend not for playing football for your fight and love for others im so sorry u didnt make it mate my girl april had cancer but she much better now and what u did for others thats why ur a abloody LEGEND rip mate ;(
a man who will touch everyone who knew him because he was a perfect example of the balance a man and father should have and aspire too. i think a lot of people will be surprised at how affected they were by his death today, because it's very rare that you meet a person in life who seems to be true to himself and the people around him at all times. it's why he always had a smile on his face, and it just isn't fair that this man leaves his family at this time. RIP.
You were too young. I never barracked for your team, but I heavily admired your determination, courage and confidence. You were what I consider a true role model. Rest in Peace. You are greatly missed by Australia. You had a good roll that ended too soon. I'll see you again mate
Jim Stynes i can remember when you started playing football for the AFL, i loved you as a player and love you as a person. and i didnt even barrack for Melbourne. you will be missed by all R.I.P Jim Stynes your a legend. xx
Every once in a while a special person comes along and changed things for the better. Jim Stynes was that special person. A great footballer and a champion human being who made a difference. Taken from us and from his love ones far too soon. May you rest in eternal peace Jim and thanks for everything that you did to make the lives of others around you that much better. My heart breaks especially for your two young children. Words do fail you in times like this. R.I.P.
A true Hero, a Legend, a Champion, a Gentleman, a Fighter. But above all a Super Human who was put here on earth to help others and inspire. Gone to that big football field in Heaven and still kicking goals. Now for ever young......Jim Stynes Rest In Peace big fella
How many great people like Jimmy do we have to loose to cancer to look @ the illness differently. What is cancer, how does it grow, why does it grow. These are still questions that many look for, why?.......... People need to tackle the illness from a different approach & with anything there is always a resistance to the new & different. Look at cancer like as you would with the universe, @ one point there was a singularity point of the cancer a "spark". Jim I'm working on it buddy RIP buddy.
The big fellow was unbreakable on the field, it was unbelievable that a man of his size played so many consecutive games...It took a higher being to put Jim down because no man ever could. He was a giant taller than most, but never looked down on anyone...you could read this in his eyes...RIP Jim (from Kangaroos supporter)
4.56 Jimmy takes a great chest mark ! What a great guy on and off the field sad to see you go you will be missed by all condolences to your family RIP Legend

nothing to say really.......... we all hoped he would fight and win the battle but the reality of it is, cancer is the most deadly disease in the world. What a great man/father/sportsman of the 21st century, God bless you, and we are claiming u as a aussie too mate :)
Sure Jim Stynes was a great man and may he rest in peace. Pray for his family. Take away the business of football from the equation and he would have barely got a mention. There are MANY heroes who help cancer patients and give their lives to help others and those who are truly great men in their own right who will never get a state funeral. May Jim's bereaved family get some peace from the media and the do-gooders. RIP, Jim!
Hey mate you're correct..Cheers. If you (or anyone else) could drop into the following y/t post " Jason Akermanis Apologises For Remarks On Late Jim Stynes" and help me set a nutcaes right, it would be appreciated....He's appalling Thanks, jager

The 12 people who dislike this need to get a life.
Isn't a shame that it takes an Irishman to show Australians what real values are.
