This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
skip Thyssen Krupp and Berliner Platz. You cant do anything at Thyssen Krupp, it's just their headquarters, nothing more. Berliner Platz is just a shopping mall and a cineplex. looks like any other mall from the inside and is shitty to navigate. If you want to learn about Krupp, rather go to Villa Hügel, their old headquarter, wich is a massive mansion (+ several smaller mansions) and a huge park, including museums, etc. If you wanna go shopping, don't go to the city, rather go to Steele or Rüttenscheid. Other than that, our city is quite boring and doesnt really offer much. the problem is, that Essen is not a real city, but more a union of several small towns. But since it's governed like one large city, every cultural happening takes place in the city center, rather than in the actual cities, where the people live. if you live outside of the city center or connected districts, there's no pubs, no bars, no clubs, no festivals, no parties, no anything, because nobody really feels responsible for those areas. Maybe a block party once a year with bumper cars and a carousel, but that's it. if the small towns were still autonomous, i believe there would be way more culture, since people would actually feel more responsible for their own area. the unification of all those towns was a big mistake, that should have been avoided.
