Everyone has unique experiences based on their perception alone. And this might create conflict because of the belief that my belief is the correct one.
Reality like gravity remain true whether one believes in it or not.
The key is to trust only your direct experience.

Trust your direct experience, yes, but always bear in mind that whatever your belief might be today, it is quite likely that it will change in the future. Therefore, a person who consistently remembers that their beliefs might change in the future will not act or react impulsively and will behave responsibly.

Good question. Let's take the example of a crime investigating officer who is working on identifying the culprit among numerous suspects. It is quite natural for the officer to study the evidence and witnesses, eliminating people from the group of suspects until they arrive at the actual culprit. Similarly, in the study of the Self or Brahman, a procedure of elimination is carried out so that the search gets more and more refined with every step.
Shri Adi Shankaracharya, to whom we need to be eternally grateful, taught the world this process and, in merely six Shlokas of the Nirvana Shatakam, revealed the ultimate truth.
