- Hey guys! Today I wanted to give you an in-depth tutorial on this popular rope braid pigtail hairstyle! I see a lot of people do this hairstyle on TikTok and it's definitely a favorite of mine. This rope braid hairstyle gives you BEAUTIFUL heatless waves the next day! You can add in some non-crunchy mousse before you braid your hair (if your heatless curls don't stay) or a styling cream. Definitely make sure you can do a rope braid first before attempting the top of the head! I hope this hair tutorial is helpful. I do this frequently but then roll them up in the back and pin them into an updo. It makes it even wavier.

Hey Lainey! Can you please do a video on messy buns that can be done on long hair but with short layers in the front? I have shorter face framing layers so whenever I put my hair into a ponytail, the short pieces stick up. They don’t like to be incorporated into twists or anything, so my hair just ends up looking crazy!

Sometimes it helps to stop watching yourself in the mirror and just focus on the feel of it... Or vice versa, if you aren't using a mirror, try watching what you're doing to make sure it's going right
I know this is an old comment but hopefully this helps someone. The easiest way to explain this is that you take your two sections, and twist them up both in the same direction. Once they are twisted, you twist them together the OPPOSITE way. So you first twist each piece in one direction, then cross them over each other in the opposite direction

You can still do this hairstyle! In regards to getting curls from this hairstyle, try a non-crunchy mousse or styling cream before you braid!

Maybe try not twisting them so tight at the ends? If your hair is thinner, that could be why!
You could roll the ends up in a perm rod.
