Vada pav or WADA pav is the common man’s food in Mumbai and is a popular street food snack across whole Maharashtra. It is basically a savory slider of fried mashed potato fritters stuffed in a dinner roll.
वड़ा पाव एक मशहूर और पारंपरिक मराठी स्ट्रीट फूड है।
वड़ा पाव एक सिंपल और आसान स्नैक रेसिपी है,जिसे आप केवल कुछ मिनटों में बना सकते हैं। इस रेसिपी को आप ब्रेकफास्ट के साथ-साथ टी-टाइम स्नैक या ऐपिटाइजर रेसिपी के तौर पर भी सर्व कर सकती हैं। आप इस वड़ा पाव रेसिपी को किटी पार्टी या फैमिली गेट-टुगेदर में स्नैक रेसिपी के तौर पर सर्व कर सकती हैं। वड़ा पाव को रोड ट्रिप,पिकनिक,स्कूल लंचबॉक्स में भी पैक किया जा सकता है। आप इस रेसिपी को किसी भी समय आसानी से बनाकर लोगों को अपने कुकिंग स्किल से प्रभावित कर सकती हैं।
वड़ा पाव रेसिपी |
Ingredients
FOR BATTER
1 cup Besan (gram flour)
1 tsp Salt
3/4 tsp Chilli powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1 cup Water
Pao (soft buns) - 6 nos Kashmiri Chilly Powder
FOR POTATO
2 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Mustard seeds
1/2 tsp Heeng (asafoetida)
2 no Green chilly chopped
handful Curry leaves chopped
(optional) - 2 tsp Ginger chopped
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1 1/2 cup Boiled Potato diced
3/4 tsp Salt
For frying Oil
FOR GARLIC CHUTNEY
2 tbsp Oil
12 nos Garlic cloves
1/4 cup Peanuts
3 tbsp Sesame seeds
1 tbsp Kashmiri Chilly Powder
1/2 tbsp Coriander powder
1 tbsp Kashmiri Chilly Powder
1tsp Salt
Grated coconut(dried) - 1/2 cup

hi kunal... I am a maharashtrian, we add coarsely grinded ginger garlic green chillies and lots of coriander to the potato mixture... also add coriander to the batter & add the water to mixi after grinding of ginger garlic green chillies... just try... its superb... Vandana

Hi Chef.. Love your recipes. You really make cooking look simple. Everytime I want to try something new, your recipe is what I look for. I just have one suggestion though... Whenever there is a batter, dough l etc involved, I would really help if you show us the consistency up close e.g. the consistency of the batter for the Vada pax... Should it be runny, thick etc...

+1, Both ginger and garlic actually. One needs to make a coarse paste of ginger, garlic and green chilli to the aalo mix before adding turmeric and then the potatoes.

There are many many UA-camrs who are not chef by profession but are popular for their recipes but I think Kunal is the only professional whose recipes are not that fancy or difficult rather his recipes are mostly simple and to the point .. Also he shares recipes for simple things like shikanji aloo paratha n all.. I’ll not name any other chef but everyone knows mostly the recipes shared by popular Indian chefs are not very attracting or tasty may be because they get it into nitty gritty of every spice and flavour but we as an audience wants simple clear instructions and ingredients which we can get easily and for this Kunal I think is one of the best chef in India!!
