Ya, wish he would have tried some longer shots. The 703 I think he showed .44 dispersion but that tanks hits where you aim, some guns are better than it shows on paper as skill has said himself. Also heavy tank battle line seems would be decent. Although the way skill ran it the switch over 1 to 2 is quick so opportunistic encounters as well.
Yes that also explains why the gun handling is perfect in the 2x shot mode. The aim circle of 1.05 never gets bigger when you move or turn the turret. The real accuracy is probhably more like 0.4 -0.5 but because you have the 2 guns next to each other its calculated as 1.05

With all the buffs, modules and skills it's actually down to as little as 0.8. also, depending how that value is calculated, it could mean very little, for example, if its calculated based on the formula from the interaction of two circles that are active at the same time, due to their overlap and the tendency of shots to go closer to the aim point, it could bring the actual accuracy much higher and make the effective value of the accuracy from 1.2 to as low as 0.4 or less, or from 0.8 to 0.3, although with a different dispersion reticle shape (depending how it's situated, anything from an oval to an infinity symbol/8 on its side, with the center of the 8, and centers of each circle being the more likely to hit aiming points)
Watching other WOT UA-camrs, Seige mode is super accurate. Just because its a different reticle design, thats not the actual dispersion. Its OP if you use the gun depression, armour and plan your 1 or 2 shots. It is still early days, but ive seen better examples of how to use this tanks mechanics.
Yep. Dispersion in the game is a VERY loose term to begin with, given the shots have a tendency to go towards the middle of the reticle much more than the sides. There also seems to be a separate 'percision' stat that decides how often shots will go closer to the center that's different for every tank and is invisible and 'secret' (it's widely known by most players that some tanks are far less accurate than others with way lower dispersion values)... Then there's also gun stabilization values to combined with ping to consider which makes shot placement less obvious than it should be... And that's just regularly, with this double barrel tank the real mechanics of how it's accuracy is actually calculated may be VERY different to even all that, and mean the 1.2 stat (which can be brought all the way down to 0.8 with all the buffs, modules and skills btw) represents said accuracy even more loosely than that (if it's made by combining two circles it can be anything from an almost round oval that'd mean it's extremely inaccurate, to a more squished oval that'd actually make it slightly more accurate than a normal tank in most situations, to something closer to two different circles that cross and all the way down to an infinity symbol which would actually mean that the shots hit the very center WAY MORE than on any tank and making it EXTREMELY accurate instead!)
IMO I think rating it bad instantly is stupid. Firstly, you've completely disregarded your own opinion of waiting till you've played quite a few games in it. Secondly, it does have comparable advantages when compared with renegade. Similar p/w ratio, but rene has much worse terrain resistances, which means the contra would reach it's top speed most of the time. Dumping 720 dmg should be inaccurate, otherwise we end up with another TD-like tank with a turret and armor (have we forgotten BZ's already?). And most of all, renegade's armor is horrible, it has weak hull, weak turret ring and the biggest one, a top hat that anyone can shoot. The contra has a much smaller cupola and can mostly penetrate the lower plate only. I'm not sure where it'll end up at, but I'd guess it will end up at a 3.5/5 (between average and good).
I like Skill a lot but his first opinion videos are often wrong and completely different from his final opinion. I doubt it will be epic tank but it could easily be average.

i like the idea of the tank. because it allows for instant double shots and no charge time. the amount of times ive whiffed or lost an opportunity for a good shot in a douple penetrator for that reason makes me excited to try the new tank if i get it or tech tree tanks if they come later. the downsides of the mechanics if they are just awkward at first would be ok as a price to pay for instant douple penetration, but if it's too much then its sad to see an opportunity missed by WG
I'm with this, it may not be the best but it's curing one of the most annoying things about the double shot tanks, it's like the gunner is doing some goofy anime ahh ability pose before pushing the trigger.
you have a charge time it call 2sec to go in to siege mode. So either way you can not fire a double and time you want. you still have to wait either way
@@warp103 after playing it for a while it was super frustrating at first but coming around that its a super solid if not nearly oppressive tank just on single shot due to its armor, the 2 sec charge time to switch to siege was a zero problem because you can do it miles ahead if youve any foresight. (by miles i mean 5-7 seconds) and with a turbo unless im in the open i barely notice the difference in manuverability as you dont want to be super fast lining up or cresting for shots all the time. the double shots do feel like its shooting crosseyed in the dark but after getting the modules and equpment, it feels like its balanced with all the extras in mind. as long as you dont rely on the double shot but learn it enough to know when to use it, it can definitely be a tool in the bag to win an engagement it otherwise wouldnt.
I actually might prefer this over the current double barreled tanks. I don't think it's that complicated in gameplay as long as you don't think the IRL logic too much (basically just single = normal gun for normal situation, double = twice reload, slower, less accurate but double damage). I really hate having to hold other button for double and missing my chance/missed because of it, so having to reload both shells at once is a fair price for it. Save that mode for finishing/group brawling situations and you should be fine

As a Former CC till a few months ago. we in the CC program know that we have advantage because no one knows the tank. After a month the bottom going to fall out because everyone will know the weakness of the 20 sec and So they will yolo you after that shot and hit you for the same damage you did with a anything that has 240 to 390 alpha guns. Also you will be out of the best MM range that wg gives New tanks , Meaning you will see a shit ton more tier 10 that will pen you with out fail, So you are looking at the best you go and remember he using a mod to make it easier to judge were it most likey to go

You should realize that there is a reason the real reticle size is bigger than with the mod he is using. Server desync is an important factor that you have to account for, which is why they made it the way it is. That shot clearly went into the ground behind, so the mod was misrepresenting the actual dispersion value that was registered serverside. I'm not saying that a "ghost shell" cannot be a thing, but you simply can't take any of skill's videos as evidence. These shots are just bound to happen with that mod.

notice "after firing" dispersion. in normal mode is x4, so circle increases 4 times after you shoot. in siege mode, hold yourself by the table or something, the dispersion after shooting is x8!? so this tank is definetly a facehugger tank. you play with this by closing the distance between you and the enemy using buildings or terrain, get in at 15-20 meters , activate siege mode knowing you will take 1-2 hits but you will smash 750+ in your enemy face. Deactivate siege and get closer. now the enemy can't hit lower plate cause if u noticed, lower plate is half the size of the upper plate. also the tank turet is higher, similar to kranvagn so if you facehuug a small enemy he will have big chances of ricochet . you have -10 gun depression so you can shoot them on the head or even in the behind area were the engine is. So definetly a very close range combat brawler tank. similar to is7 maybe.
yeah, taking one or two shots is not really worth it then. Most tier 8 tanks have 340+ alfa. That means that you will take at least 680 dmg. Not really worth trading if you are going to 720 with it being possible to bounche those shots due to the mediocre penatration
Looks good to me, idk what are you talking about. Biggest difference between contra and rene is armor, rene is basiclly paper with his weak hull, turret ring and huge cupola.
When the BZ was released first impressions didn't see it being as good as it turned out. I suspect Skill will look back on this vehicle and think it's far stronger than he thought in his first impression. The mechanics are different, but unlike the normal double penetrators, you have to hold and aim, this tank doesn't bloom on the move in double. You can move and instantly double. You will find it to be potentially MORE dominating than the BZ on ridge maps. I haven't played it obviously, but I can see this just being brutal in great matchups.
It's always the same story with this guy - a new tank comes out and he's like "I hate it with all my heart it is the worst tank in the World of Tanks......" One week later it's "I love this tank with all my heart it is the best tank in the World of Tanks......" Just wait a week. O_O
If you remember, you can switch guns by switching to the double barrel mode and back, so I think if you take a shot you can switch to the other barrel (which has a loaded shell) in 4 seconds, 2 going into double barrel and two going out of double barrel, so you basically have a 4 second inter clip if I'm thinking right
I mean, compared to the Renegade, even disregarding the double mode, this thing actually has hull armor and doesn’t have a giant turret tumor. Also, you are using a vstab on this, even though it does nothing in doubles mode. It might well be better to use turbo vents IAU or hardening vents IAU or IAU turbo hardening or something like that.
@ I think Daki showed off this tank in a better light in the video he just put up. The fact that you can switch modes on the move and while reloading is very useful. You can fire a single then while reloading switch to the double for 1080 damage in 10 seconds.
WG should at least give you the opportunity to switch out of siege mode after a double-shot to reduce the reload time back to the single fire reload (plus the 2s for switching the modes).
It doesn't even make sense that the tank is slow AF when in double barrel mode... Like the Kunze Panzer siege mode doesn't make sense at all. Getting more accurate while reload is way longer. As if the Gunner is somehow disabled in siege mode.
Unlike kunze which can use siege mode only for sniping and which loses reverse speed and it kind of defenseless, this tank uses siege mode when you know in advance that in two seconds you will have opportunity. I used siege mode on westfield, it's great for trading. It's not great that when you fire double, enemy knows he can hit you twice before you reload so you need support.

I think clicking once for the double shot is a nicer user experience. It's not a terrible idea at the outset. What I don't like is that they're putting another 720 alpha damage tank into tier 8. They could have tested this design with a 300x2 damage gun and given it less handicaps. Tier 8 tanks evaporate SO fast in the current WoT meta.
Even if it's a bit more complicated, i still prefer instant double shot over charged one on 703. Even if you pre-aim, pre-charge it on object, still many many things can happen during the time you must take to charge it. After all everybody can agree that using double shot on 703 is mostly a mistake and unnecessary dpm loss. If i'm not wrong, many people struggled to understand object for a while when it came out at first, so i guess people will adjust to that one quickly. 1.20 dispersion is not the actual dispersion for each gun, it's just the area combined, so it's not accurate, but it's not worse than arta probably.
Can ypu short with other barrel while reloading first if shouting one by one? In theory second barrel is loaded. Why didny ypu try to switch it while loading?
Really surprised Skill does not like this tank. The gun handling in single shot mode is fantastic and the armor platform works. The double shots are very effective in brawling situations.
So far the stats are showing that all the Xmas tanks are lowering player win-rates by 1-2%, but this tank's WR is even with player WR...so it's performing better than all the others.

Solid point on too many mechanics making it overwhelming. If you vs a 'special' mechanic tank it is already a bit of a guess what the enemy can do if you haven't memorised all of them for each tank.
It suffers from bad premium pen and dpm because you always need to have both guns loaded to be able to fire at all. I like this more than the 703II though. Somehow I fuck up the double shot with that one so often because the 3 secs charge up time is too long for me.
1. Complain when WG realeses good tanks in lootboxes. 2. Ask WG to make lootbox tanks unique, not OP. 3. WG does that. 4. WoT community - "WG IS SCAMMING YOU! This tank is weird and funky, but its not good :(((("
regarding skill saying they add too many tanks with new mechanics - Its probably better than them adding tanks without mechanics because we have so many tanks in game already its hard to make a new t8-10 tank that does not already exist. If they were to add a new t8 medium or heavy with no mechanic, how would it be different from any of the other tanks already out there? Odds are it would be such a small difference from some other tank already in game, other than nation, that it would likely not sell well.
I think the double pen is good if you end up in a trading war with alpha damage against another tank like where you peek and trade with some one it helps increase your chances of a higher alpha ir at least 1 shell to penatrate.
I think this tank is gonna be 4 to 5 stars, mark my word. Theres a huge potential in this tank after mastering it. High skill ceiling, but it has everything to make a good tank.
So if both cannons are loaded at the same time you should be able (or atleast try) to shoot one single, go siege mode, go out of sige mode, fire the other cannon. I am working with theory of him showing that it changes barrels after going out of siege mode.
With the loot box tanks I would love to see you play them with a brand new crew with brother and arms, only and bass equipment as a standard player would have….

This cover mechanic literally makes no sense at all.. Siege mode, both covers open, you shoot both barrels, so both guns are loaded after entering siege mode. When single fire, the covers open and close for each gun after each shot but you have 10 sec reload somehow? Are not both guns loaded at the same time? if they fire in alternation, both guns should be loaded, you do one shot, cover closes, other cover opens, you shoot again and while this happens the first gun is already reloading.
Idk why skill doesnt like skill expressive tanks, like this or Kunze. Its not complicated, its exciting, interesting. All tanks shouldnt be simple I like this challenging design way more.
Switching between the left and right gun could have some niche use cases like peeking around different corners and using objects to your advantage sort of like how the AT-7s gun is on one side. Looks interesting.

nah normal double penetrators are way superior to this trash, just too many debuffs in the siege mode

On avg 10 out 5-6 games i have this issue imagine tank with 22sec relode?

Deactivate siege and get closer. now the enemy can't hit lower plate cause if u noticed, lower plate is half the size of the upper plate. also the tank turet is higher, similar to kranvagn so if you facehuug a small enemy he will have big chances of ricochet . you have -10 gun depression so you can shoot them on the head or even in the behind area were the engine is. So definetly a very close range combat brawler tank. similar to is7 maybe.
yeah, taking one or two shots is not really worth it then. Most tier 8 tanks have 340+ alfa. That means that you will take at least 680 dmg. Not really worth trading if you are going to 720 with it being possible to bounche those shots due to the mediocre penatration
Looks good to me, idk what are you talking about. Biggest difference between contra and rene is armor, rene is basiclly paper with his weak hull, turret ring and huge cupola.
When the BZ was released first impressions didn't see it being as good as it turned out. I suspect Skill will look back on this vehicle and think it's far stronger than he thought in his first impression. The mechanics are different, but unlike the normal double penetrators, you have to hold and aim, this tank doesn't bloom on the move in double. You can move and instantly double. You will find it to be potentially MORE dominating than the BZ on ridge maps. I haven't played it obviously, but I can see this just being brutal in great matchups.
Yep most people think this tank is strong. Not as OP as BZ but strong. This tank in a platoon can delete a tier 8 in a few seconds.

If you remember, you can switch guns by switching to the double barrel mode and back, so I think if you take a shot you can switch to the other barrel (which has a loaded shell) in 4 seconds, 2 going into double barrel and two going out of double barrel, so you basically have a 4 second inter clip if I'm thinking right
It doesn't seem that much complicated for me. Normal gaming - single shooting. Close combat - double. You have to be aware of bad DPM. That's it

I mean, compared to the Renegade, even disregarding the double mode, this thing actually has hull armor and doesn’t have a giant turret tumor.
Also, you are using a vstab on this, even though it does nothing in doubles mode. It might well be better to use turbo vents IAU or hardening vents IAU or IAU turbo hardening or something like that.
The DPM of both modes is exactly the same which is interesting

The fact that you can switch modes on the move and while reloading is very useful.
You can fire a single then while reloading switch to the double for 1080 damage in 10 seconds.
And here we were all hoping for the 4th iteration of a type59 reskin.
Or how about a bz176b with the Grom gun, or a 703-3 with a 130mm rotary gun.
WG should at least give you the opportunity to switch out of siege mode after a double-shot to reduce the reload time back to the single fire reload (plus the 2s for switching the modes).
If I were still playing, I would be really happy to get this from the lootboxes - it is a better mechanism than the normal double penetrator for me :)

It doesn't even make sense that the tank is slow AF when in double barrel mode... Like the Kunze Panzer siege mode doesn't make sense at all. Getting more accurate while reload is way longer. As if the Gunner is somehow disabled in siege mode.
Unlike kunze which can use siege mode only for sniping and which loses reverse speed and it kind of defenseless, this tank uses siege mode when you know in advance that in two seconds you will have opportunity. I used siege mode on westfield, it's great for trading. It's not great that when you fire double, enemy knows he can hit you twice before you reload so you need support.
@@pavelperina7629 That has absolutely nothing to do with my comment, siege mode on this tank and kunze makes no sense. Kunze got longer reload and is slower, okay because the hydraulics change. so the speedloss on the kunze makes sense, but the longer reload? Makes no sense.
So does the Siegemode on this tank. it makes no sense, you shoot both barrels at the same time but your tank is slower in siege mode? WHY? Every other double barrel tank without a siege mode can fire both guns at top speed, they don't get slower, what's the point of making this tank slower in order to shoot both barrels at the same time? DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.
@@pavelperina7629 by the way, if you know in 2 seconds you have the opportunity, why siege mode at all? every other double barrel simply prepares the double shot by holding fire button 2 seconds... so it's even more senseless to have the siege mode to switch on the fly while getting slower when it's enabled.
I think this tank looks very interesting. 700 alpha is a lot for tier8 heavy even if its difficult to use.

I think clicking once for the double shot is a nicer user experience. It's not a terrible idea at the outset. What I don't like is that they're putting another 720 alpha damage tank into tier 8. They could have tested this design with a 300x2 damage gun and given it less handicaps. Tier 8 tanks evaporate SO fast in the current WoT meta.
Even if it's a bit more complicated, i still prefer instant double shot over charged one on 703. Even if you pre-aim, pre-charge it on object, still many many things can happen during the time you must take to charge it. After all everybody can agree that using double shot on 703 is mostly a mistake and unnecessary dpm loss. If i'm not wrong, many people struggled to understand object for a while when it came out at first, so i guess people will adjust to that one quickly. 1.20 dispersion is not the actual dispersion for each gun, it's just the area combined, so it's not accurate, but it's not worse than arta probably.

Really surprised Skill does not like this tank. The gun handling in single shot mode is fantastic and the armor platform works. The double shots are very effective in brawling situations.
So far the stats are showing that all the Xmas tanks are lowering player win-rates by 1-2%, but this tank's WR is even with player WR...so it's performing better than all the others.
I'm so glad that the big boxes this year look like absolute doodoo. I don't need to feel pressure to buy any. Again. Like the last two years.

20:00 this is the problem, older prem tanks are so good, that now that wg is trying to release balanced prem tanks, they underperform compared to older prem tanks, please, dont compare to old absurd good tanks, lets not forget the 703 II its still busted (amazing gun, good armor, good mobility)
Solid point on too many mechanics making it overwhelming. If you vs a 'special' mechanic tank it is already a bit of a guess what the enemy can do if you haven't memorised all of them for each tank.
It suffers from bad premium pen and dpm because you always need to have both guns loaded to be able to fire at all. I like this more than the 703II though. Somehow I fuck up the double shot with that one so often because the 3 secs charge up time is too long for me.
1. Complain when WG realeses good tanks in lootboxes.
2. Ask WG to make lootbox tanks unique, not OP.
3. WG does that.

Look again, he immediately returned back to the normal load after shooting double but the gun still needed to load for double.

regarding skill saying they add too many tanks with new mechanics - Its probably better than them adding tanks without mechanics because we have so many tanks in game already its hard to make a new t8-10 tank that does not already exist. If they were to add a new t8 medium or heavy with no mechanic, how would it be different from any of the other tanks already out there? Odds are it would be such a small difference from some other tank already in game, other than nation, that it would likely not sell well.
You dont need v-stab if you only shoot in the 2x mode because your recticle wont get bigger.
I think the double pen is good if you end up in a trading war with alpha damage against another tank like where you peek and trade with some one it helps increase your chances of a higher alpha ir at least 1 shell to penatrate.

I think this tank is gonna be 4 to 5 stars, mark my word. Theres a huge potential in this tank after mastering it. High skill ceiling, but it has everything to make a good tank.

So if both cannons are loaded at the same time you should be able (or atleast try) to shoot one single, go siege mode, go out of sige mode, fire the other cannon. I am working with theory of him showing that it changes barrels after going out of siege mode.
With the loot box tanks I would love to see you play them with a brand new crew with brother and arms, only and bass equipment as a standard player would have….

This cover mechanic literally makes no sense at all.. Siege mode, both covers open, you shoot both barrels, so both guns are loaded after entering siege mode. When single fire, the covers open and close for each gun after each shot but you have 10 sec reload somehow? Are not both guns loaded at the same time? if they fire in alternation, both guns should be loaded, you do one shot, cover closes, other cover opens, you shoot again and while this happens the first gun is already reloading.

Idk why skill doesnt like skill expressive tanks, like this or Kunze. Its not complicated, its exciting, interesting. All tanks shouldnt be simple I like this challenging design way more.
Switching between the left and right gun could have some niche use cases like peeking around different corners and using objects to your advantage sort of like how the AT-7s gun is on one side. Looks interesting.
