Again i obviously didn't get some of these tracks on my first listen, so if you have some insight go ahead and write it below along with any album conspiracies you may have!

Personally: TPAB > GKMC > DAMN., and all of them are incredible. I want to post my thoughts on these tracks, but have to gather my thoughts first. I'd check out Tabby's reaction; there's a pinned comment there that aptly explains the theory that this album tells different stories when played regularly and in reverse, the difference being whether he lives through fear (his father lives in DUCKWORTH.) or rap (when the album is played backwards, when his father is killed in DUCKWORTH.)
But even beyond all that heady conceptual shit, I appreciate this album because every song has its own concept that people relate to. I've heard so many people have different favorite songs, and I don't think that happens with albums often. I also think this album was very therapeutic for Kendrick, where he could finally talk about himself and his feelings without making a message [TPAB] or exclusively talking about who he USED to be [GKMC].
Basically, I love the production and lyrics of ten tracks and think I'll go back to them regularly. I like how simply you can choose to take this album, and I like hearing how Kendrick feels about his life and what's happening around him.
Insight Hey man thank you for putting all the times! You didn't have to do that, and i really appreciate it! and yeah ive seen that playing it from the end forward as the concept. It's crazy how he is still able to come up with these ideas and album concepts and is still able to say exactly what he want to say! I agree I think this was very therapeutic for him. He wasn't as tightly confined as the first two albums and he still killed it. He hasn't failed me yet As for favorite albums i don't think this is better than the others but again it's still a very good album and will definitively be someone's favorite.
No worries, it wasn't THAT much work. I just also wanted to give you props for really dissecting FEAR. It's personally my favorite song on the album [obviously not something to play around company, of course], and I really think the jump in ten years is brilliant, and each of the three Kendricks' fears are so damned vivid. I'm glad you liked it too.

Damn was better that gkmc imo I enjoyed more songs on this album that gkmc didn’t really feel yah on this album but rest I enjoyed alot
5 years later I don’t think it’s a reach to say DAMN is arguably Kendrick’s best album

I Love the entire Album it's 🔥 it's a story...Dope! Each song hits me in different ways, I honestly don't have a favorite because each song has a vibe and something I can relate to. but DNA, ELEMENT, FEEL...Oh yes FEEL, LUST, XXX....is my Ish! FEAR...if you're a melanated being you will understand FEAR right off the back! I believe some people shouldn't be so quick to say they like Kendrick's previous albums more than DAMN
when they've had a chance to sit with them longer! That doesn't make sense! I loved OD, Section.80, GKMC, TPAB, but DAMN to me is his best work. I probably can say this because I have literally listened to this album at least 50 times and it gets better with each listen! I like that none of Kendrick's albums are the same! Even his mom thinks this is his best work!

Hear me out, again your analogy is spot on. But we overlook that Cole teaches just as much as Kendrick does ... however Cole keeps it simple... because we're in a simple ass society- so it's not his fault.
So Kendrick says 1x2+2= 4.
Cole Says 2+2=4.
Its an iffy example, but it's my interpretation.
Kendrick doesn't give a shit lol. He wants his music to grow with his audience. So basic people who overlook it today may one day grow up, go back and catch all the jewels left... & this is why Kendrick in his own element (pun) is better than Cole.
Cole in his own element seems to always be eager af to wake us up so he lays out everything on the table. & this is why he is better than Kendrick in that sense, because you will ALWAYS relate to and automatically click with Cole, even if you wanna clown him or have never experienced what he has. Coupled with his vibe/soul which no one can ever deny- it gives him that extra "something" that Daniel mentioned.
HOWEVER, listen to DAMN. Kendrick is progressing. Tracks like FEEL, PRIDE, FEAR, & definitely XXX shows that he has atleast been influenced by Cole a lot. You can relate 100% more w Kdot this project, AND that's why it's his 4th masterpiece.

AR 80 u trippin if you thought Drogas was on par with this album and I mess with Lupe heavy as I think he is one of the most underrated lyricist of all time and T&Y being one of my favorite hip hop albums of all time . Drogas was somewhat disappointing but he did say that many songs on that were throwaways from a while ago. He should have put that out as a mixtape as it was not really a legitimate project
