📜 About the Reciter:
Shaykh Qari Ahmad Bin Yusuf Al-Azhari is the world renowned Quran Reciter (Qārī) of Bangladesh. His father Shaykh Qari Muhammad Yusuf (Rah.) was also a renowned Qārī of the Asian Region and he is the pioneer of Qurʾān recitation in Bangladesh.
Qari Ahmad Bin Yusuf completed his Hifẓ (memorization of Holy Quran) & Rewayet Hafs from his father in early 2000. He completed his Masters in Dawra-E-Hadith (Islamic Studies) in 2001. Later he went to Egypt in 2002 and got admitted into the Maʿhadul Qirāʾāt of Al-Azhar Al Sharif at Cairo, Egypt and studied 10 Qirāʾāt (Qirāʾāt ʿAshara). Besides he completed diploma in Arabic Language from Cairo University and he also learnt Arabic Tilāwah Rhythm (Maqāmāt) from Music School of Cairo.
Qari Ahmad Bin Yusuf achieved 1st position in the International Qirāʾāt Competition at Dubai, UAE in 2011 & 3rd position at Iran in 2011. He's the only one Bangladeshi Judge at several international competitions (Qirāʾāt & Hifẓ).
Currently he's the Director of Maʿhadul Qirāʾāt Bangladesh & President of the 'International Quran Recitation Association-IQRA'.
He has been appointed as the Chief Qari (Shaikhul Qurra) of Bangladesh in 2018 by the 'Ittehadul ʿArabī Wad Dualy Li-Tilāwatil Qurʾānil Karīm (Ittehadul Qurra Al-ʿĀlamia)' operational under the 'Arab League'.
