I just want to thank the whole community of creative people patching this beautiful bish and being so generous and cool. Also it does work great on older models
I literally just ordered an Organelle a couple hours ago, and I can't wait for it to show up. This only makes me that much more excited! Way to get the anticipation building up. Feels like the days leading up to Christmas! :D
@@rhampton1914 it's pretty neat! You have a large number of patches you can load on for various synths, effects and so on. It has a pretty high learning curve because of this, but it can effectively do anything you need it to.
@@rhampton1914 most sequencers in patches for the organelle tend to do one note at a time per step. That being said, patches are based on the puredata platform which is INCREDIBLY flexible, so I imagine it would be doable.
I'm now going to expect a tomato, carrot, and green bell pepper to be on the table of every synthesizer review video. How are we going to know how bad gear is unless we have a reference vegetable to compare it against?
Can Tapey or a variation of it distribute the sample across a wider range than the 24 Organelle keys? I have a 49 key midi keyboard and if the Organelle can pitch samples across that range I would have no choice but to buy one.
ive been trying to figure out tapey, whenever I record there seems to be a few seconds delay at the start of the recording and it also records the sound of me pressing the buttons, does anyone know if there's a way to cut these parts out of the recording?
Hi, Have you checked the manual: www.critterandguitari.com/manual?m=Organelle_M_Manual#4-managing-patches ? If you are still having trouble please use the forum to post your issue: forum.critterandguitari.com Thanks!
For the life of me I can't figure out how to record sound directly to the Organelle M. I'm following this video but it don't keep my recordings. The light is red but nothing happens when I hit the aux button again. Do I need a microphone? Any tips would be appreciated!
This is great! I just bought the Organelle M, brand new to the workflow. I clicked on the link in the description, downloaded the patches but didn't find instructions on how to dump them into the unit. It was probably right in front of me and i missed it :) Can someone please explain the process? Thanks!
@@CritterGuitariInc i followed the manual, inserted the zip files to a fat32 formatted USB stick and into the organelle, when i press ''install'' on any patch i receive an ''Install FAILED unable no files message''. Again I'm pretty sure there's something totally basic that I did wrong.. can you kindly assist me to do it right?
I’ve used this and can’t assign a sample to each key, nor am I able to record over the samples I’ve made. They just keep adding up taking up space. What can I do?
The Organelle M is the version that we are currently producing. Here's a post with the differences between the current and older model: www.critterandguitari.com/blog/organelle-is-brand-new-again
Sad, that you didnt design the module in a more keyboardish way. A velocity keyboard with 25 keys like to moog subsequent would fit better to the keyboad player of today.

k smith thanks for confirming. Just picked one up last weekend.
1:07 really cool how this kinda shows that a perfect 5th is just a really fast 2:3 polyrhythm
this just blew my mind man wtf
@@SpaceDisco1 then you should look up videos about Euclidian intonation and Just intonation if you really wanna get mind fucked.

It might be time for me to get an Organelle.
this patch is amazing, wow
Changing "Tune" while recording is also cool. Especially with vocals. A talk show from your radio or something.

What is the sample at 5:00? Sounds beautiful
It's the sample from the very beginning of video - the tuning fork. But it is played in reverse.
Those samples need more carrot.
the entire time i was watching this i kept thinking “sample the vegetables” lol

can you sample from vinyl on this nifty little device?
Hi, yes, you can sample sounds using the input jack or the onboard microphone.

Is there a way to make your own loops/sequences or do you always have to overdub on what's already there?
can tapey run on older organelle also
Yes - all C&G patches can run on both versions (original & M) of Organelle
Is this only mono sampling ?
What’s the difference between organelle m and organelle ? In japan they list it with an m

can the organelle take rechargeable batteries?
Yes. Just don't mix battery types (alkaline, NiMH, etc.).
can you do live sampling via input on the old organelle version?
Yes!
