Hendra and sukamuljo... both are very amazing front court player... but they have different playing style... Hendra tends to do a very fast interception and unpredictable return, especially in serve return. He also has powerful smash too... in his primary era, he oftenly reach above 280 kph smash or about >360 kph smash in the new calculation method... Kevin tends to make the opponent frustated with fast drive or short ball battle also he has amazing reflex with his famous “squat shot” + provoke opponent...
hendra have such a great feeling of the game, always in the right place and in the right time...and his placement of the shots are so special, knew exactly where the gap is. not to mention the way he changes the pace of the game, it's so cool to watch him a lot of time just block the shuttle in front of the net...make a winner of it.

He is able to quickly see the overall player configurations in court in more concise manner, often resulted in simple yet deadly placement of his shuttlecocks. Kevin Sanjaya respects him a lot. hendra is more like liliyana natsir the control, change of phase and the sevice situation. sukamuljo is all that but he's doing it on faster mode everything he does is so quick that's why steen said that he's reaction is like fu haifeng "rush" (lol not power), every loose shot or defence won't go unnoticed by sukamuljo he's a trickster and a great string control very high skill. i think sukamuljo is more dengerous and had a lot more weapon in the front court than hendra but the touch and change of phace is hendra that's his unique.

Our Living Legend Rudy Hartono said in an interview that players need to prepare themselves more and mostly to big events like Olympic, Word Championship, AG, AE n etc. Bcause by winning those events people will apreciate and respect the player more than they winning the < 1000 super series and also will make the players be more confident in every tournaments. those events are always be more like the standard of success in badminton. I think that's why Ahsan/Hendra winning mostly the big events than other super series tournaments.

Misleading title of video - yes, Hendra is great at the net but he's also great at rear court. One of the greats. He has the X factor - always in balance, unreal reader of the game, very strong conventional game as well as having creativity, always calm under pressure and has what all the really great players have - more time on the shuttle. Seems to be able to take his time on shots that would be rushed by most. Great player.

Hendras trademark tho... He moves even before the opponent decides where and how to return the shuttle.... It's more like gambling, but even he misses it, ahsan is ready to play it.. So nothing to lose... (but he doesn't miss many of those,, he actually trains to get that instinctive tactical awareness ) Now most badminton players try to copy that..

Emang Ko Hendra pinter penempatan2 bolanya pas di tempat yang kosong, dari awal debut jadi atlet muda 2004 bersama Kido sudah terlihat cepat dan penempatannya koknya pas sekali, permainnya cepat smash2 kido jg menukik hingga Juara Indonesia open dan juara2 dunia diraih sampai juara Olimpiade. Ketika itu senior ganda putra juara juga ada Alven/Luluk dan Candra/Sigit namun pada akhirnya mereka dipisahkan, kido dengan Marcus dan Hendra dengan Ahsan. Hendra klop juga dengan Ahsan sampai juara dunia dan gelar superseries diraih. Ada penurunan prestasi, mereka dipsangkan dg yg lain, Ahsan/Rian, Hendra keluar pelatnas dan mencoba berpasangan dengan Tan. Namun kurang klop sering kalah. Tapi setelah kembali lagi memang Hendra tidak bisa juara tanpa Ahsan dan Ahsan pun tidak bisa juara tanpa Hendra. Mereka saling melengkapi dan saya dari awal Hendra debut sampai sekarang juara dunia 2019 tetap mengikuti kabar dan pertandingan mereka, dari sampai sekarang mereka jadi Daddies, Semoga Minions dan fajri tetap juara serta para atlet junior bisa mengikuti jejak ahsan hendra yang legend dan Butet
That change the pace thing is so simple yet no one does it better and as frequently as hendra, most players would just playing it fast all the time. Kevin need to learn from hendra how to change the pace more often, he would be more dangerous.

I can't find a lot of credit to this player whereas he is actually the best md player ever but it's hard to see this for non badminton player, his placement, tactics are exceptionnal, not to mention how he predict a lot of shots

but sometimes he's too error prone, even in his prime. a player like caiyun or lyd are much more stable compared to setiawan.
Martin Khoe kevin os actually too young to be judged, for instance he isn't on the hall of fame of best md player, but after time he will show us whether he deserve it ir not. Now he is just super fast, let see if he can stay consistent through the years

Emang Ko Hendra pinter penempatan2 bolanya pas di tempat yang kosong, dari awal debut jadi atlet muda 2004 bersama Kido sudah terlihat cepat dan penempatannya koknya pas sekali, permainnya cepat smash2 kido jg menukik hingga Juara Indonesia open dan juara2 dunia diraih sampai juara Olimpiade. Ketika itu senior ganda putra juara juga ada Alven/Luluk dan Candra/Sigit namun pada akhirnya mereka dipisahkan, kido dengan Marcus dan Hendra dengan Ahsan. Hendra klop juga dengan Ahsan sampai juara dunia dan gelar superseries diraih. Ada penurunan prestasi, mereka dipsangkan dg yg lain, Ahsan/Rian, Hendra keluar pelatnas dan mencoba berpasangan dengan Tan. Namun kurang klop sering kalah. Tapi setelah kembali lagi memang Hendra tidak bisa juara tanpa Ahsan dan Ahsan pun tidak bisa juara tanpa Hendra. Mereka saling melengkapi dan saya dari awal Hendra debut sampai sekarang juara dunia 2019 tetap mengikuti kabar dan pertandingan mereka, dari sampai sekarang mereka jadi Daddies, Semoga Minions dan fajri tetap juara serta para atlet junior bisa mengikuti jejak ahsan hendra yang legend dan Butet

That change the pace thing is so simple yet no one does it better and as frequently as hendra, most players would just playing it fast all the time. Kevin need to learn from hendra how to change the pace more often, he would be more dangerous.
