    I think a loosely fitted wood plug as a retrofit. No need for anything super tight, unless you're going after flour gold. And, a loose stopper won't slow you down too much.

    I think you could fit some kind of sander dust collection bag on it to cut down dust and pieces flying out. Nice machine. Beats crushing rocks by hand!

    Good price. I've seen some for double that. Use respirator! That silica dust will put you down faster that coal dust...safety first😌

    Awesome handy little unit. I'd say it needs a flap at the intake to prevent little bits of rock flying out.

      The flat plate could use something to stop fine stuff from leaking out, too.

    6:40 I would say the one uncrushed rock plus all the larger pieces were caused by user error. This thing is like a mini hammer mill. It needs to be running at speed when rocks are put in it. You can't load up a hammer mill stopped, and turn it on.

      You also have to hold it so the chamber is level, therefore the rock won't fall to the corner of the chamber away from the chain 🤔🙂

    Why didn’t you use the handle? Seems it would give you a extra control with out, grabbing the initial crusher, during use. I got one like cobra, pretty much the same thing. Put a heavy duty screen in a vaccum implement. Vac. will suck through a scoop to fill the crusher. That way you break it down so much, the crusher. A manual crush to break the ore down too one in. minus. Used miner moss cut down to fit around the filter, so don’t plug up the filters in the vaccum. I can pick it up and shake up the ore more inside crusher. The classifier screen has 1/32size max size to go into the portable vac., runs on 12v through my truck. I leave the implement over the opening on the crusher. You also can use it to suck air, cooling around the bearings on back side of the crusher. You can run half of a bucket or so to get more complete sampling in larger sample, for consistency in your vein. I just don’t have much rock to test myself. To you sell 5lb bags or small bags thought mail order. Just trying to understand processes of hard rock mining. Crushing to smelting down to metals, then send to pro smelters.

    Rule # 1: never pan for volume gold until you bake your powder two to three hours at minimum of 450 degrees Fahrenheit preferably using premixed caustic soda (lyre) and reduce water down and sir each 30 minutes and add more water and caustic soda. Don't breathe in fumes. Rule #2: Never pan the cooked ore until you soak it in HCL or Sulphuric acid for at least one hour. After soaked rinse until acid and muck washed and strained and keep every bit of the cleaned muck at the bottom because there will be a load of gold flour and flake which was finally forced liberated from the bondage. This is how to get all of the gold out of stubborn black sand. People think incorrectly when they pan they will find gold and nothing or next to nothing out of black sand or crust rack welts because they are bound by a molecular structure and only acid and heat can release it all and all the sudden you see 500% more than you normally see if you didn't do it

    I bought this 3 years ago. It sat in the rain I had to use soda vinegar scrub to remove the rust. He sent the chainsaw version which I now want to convert over to variable speed grinder with 11k rpm another $60 tool . And a shop vacuum to skip the unbolting hassle. Anyway now you showed how. Thanks.

    Just going to say, take that battery off first, even if there's a trigger lock, ya never know tightening that stuff together how your grips might activate it.

  • @brentsmith981
    @brentsmith981 Рік тому +1

    you need to tighten the loose bolts before crusher activation and also tilt it to feed the ore into the crusher

  • @jefflong1839
    @jefflong1839 7 місяців тому

    Like said below, also I see that the mounting holes should have been 45 degrees clockwise and you would be able to set the grinder down, perhaps even make a cradle to set both in and add a remote, cable trigger extension and it'd be pretty sweet. 6" longer feed tube with a one way flap to keep from losing a lot of bits. Guess I'm about to do some fabrication heh.

    I live in Australia and do u think i coukd find a crusher like this an i go look here and lols there outta stock and yeah dude u so need to put a flap on that so after u feed the rock i the flap springs back and closes id love to take this idea and build on it because its dam practical and really needed when u come across new spots to sample.
    Id make the inside hexagonal aswell so the rocks bounce off the sides more which would stop bigger rocks not getting crushed.
    Mate any chance u can put me onto the person that built this.
    Thanks for your vids to mate i cannot Express how many times iv been stuck on ores and then i watch ur vids thanks heaps for all your efforts mate
