Ive been a Boosh fan since it aired on Adult Swim. Ive rewatched the show dozens of times and just now am I getting around to the radio show. Hearing it feels like lost media. Like it was recorded but never filmed😢
I thought it was all over. I watched the TV show, both of the live shows, even bought the book. But now I’ve found this! It’s so great listening to this, and hearing how it evolved into the show. Brilliant!
Julian Barrett describing Noel as someone in the 1940s being imprisoned for being a witch was so on the nose I laughed uncontrollably so loudly that I woke up my cat who is now suing me for emotional distress.
Hearing the start of the Boosh is amazing, especially now its been removed from Netflix - absolute love this show Forever going to be hooked on this troupe
Get the box set on DVD, i have to watch the whole series at least once a year and if i’m ever down i’ll listen to this radio series, never fails to cheer me up. I got into the Boosh when my daughters were young teens and they introduced me and my husband we loved it and went to see them live in London and Brighton.
This entire episode is so amazing, especially the halfway point to the very end. The 'escape sequence' is such a tightly-packed, perfectly-paced string of jokes.
...he come at you fast; like screaming ball of hot bark, you don't know what's happening - you wake up in France....riding around on a cheese horse, going "ohhh my brie hoof, ooooh my edam ...."
Brian E. Hanson I listened to them all last week after all these years. Just absolutely sublime. So so funny. I think jungles my favourite episode. Going of track here but there’s a guy at work called Vince who every day I say to him “Vince Noir - Rock n roll star”....think he’s getting a bit fed up of it lol Lastly, thanks for taking the time to upload these to UA-cam, I very much appreciated it as I don’t even own a CD player anymore to listen to it.
Yeah I thought so too. I believe he also played Bainbridge in the TV pilot. I would have thought he would be perfect but ultimately the changes they made for TV were for the best. I don’t think he shows up in until the second series.
I've always found something about The Mighty Boosh very calming.
Stupidity =calmness

I was 25 when I found the Boosh. Just hit 40 and found this. How wonderful.
That is a kind of fresh madness

I recognise Richard Ayoade as the rescuer towards the end there.

its still on hulu!!
It's on Hulu, mate.
if you're in the uk it's on iplayer

Omg I freaking love this! Why did I find this so late in my 53 years?
That's awesome you finally found the Boosh Marci!! They're pretty amazing!
Where have you been living? In a cockerels boot!?
"Do you understand the concept?"
"YES!"
"You can come in but you can never leave.."
"That's fine.."
"No, listen to me.., it's like a membrane.."
Women would swoon when Tommy shuffled into the room
That's young Richard Ayoade at 21:45, playing Tommy Nookah.
And he's Bruno mindhorn
4 across was emu.
Negative! That is the deliberate monotony of Joseph Pelling (Red Guy, DHMIS)
He’s also “one” of the mutants when Bambridge calls out their names he says “Ayoade back in your cage”.
I love this! Nothing makes me laugh so much. Every minute is hilarious. And the songs are so amazing!
🎶 *Tommy*
where you go
*WHERE YOU GO, TOMMY!?* 🎶
"'E's dead. He fell in the ocelot pit."
...he come at you fast; like screaming ball of hot bark, you don't know what's happening - you wake up in France....riding around on a cheese horse, going "ohhh my brie hoof, ooooh my edam ...."
"Tommy! I tought you were dead!" "A-haha-hah" I dunno why that part cracks me up so badly 😂
These guys must have all the Syd Barret solo albums
21:43 - 23:16 is pure liquid wonderment.
That's one of my favorite bits Mace. "Solve this puzzle while I'm gone -- here's pen and paper.."
I love it that Vince called Tommy a stocky hammerhead, because Richard, who play's Tommy here, play's Toby the hammerheadshark in Luxury comedy
Wake up, there's no time, comb your hair
Sleep. Wake up, there's no time! Comb your hair.
"...there's a fox dressed as a _nurse!"_
Sometimes if you're looking for a place it helps to look inside yourself
I haven't heard this in years it's still funny
A timeless colourful fun trip😃
So amazing thx for making this
As in the playlist
"Look at him leaving like a little conker in the night,"
Me: what does bring a conker have to do with anything?
If they're too old to do live action I'd love it if they continued Boosh in audio format as it gives them free reign on very little budget
The mighty boosh makes me happy 😃
Ditto
He was a big man, a handsome man
the song is such a banger wtf
oh.. that's a tasty rhythm
Mindhorn!🕵♂
The Boosh - my No1 comedy series of all time…Next Spaced.. then Father Ted, Pythons, IT Crowd, Toast of London, Garth Mahrenghi, Fawlty Ts…
Boosh has more in common with The Goodies.
Almost my identical top 5 :) Have you watched Nathan Barley ?
That song omg
theres more boosh?! fuck yea
24:27 Tommy's Story to 26:22
I named a Petilil in pokemon 'Little Ken' and now thats what I call all of them
Same, I found myself calling people "Little [name]" in real life. Worth it
Tasty rhythm
A fox dressed as a nurse
Its weird because the later TV show fills in the visuals in my head, but this was before that.
The radio series is so much better than the tv series. Surreal entertainment
I agree! I like them both in their own way but the radio series is better put together. It's tighter.

You bet Polarbear!
Don't mock forest.
17:03 got me😂
I've always considered the Mighty Boosh folk comedy
Why does Ayoade sound like he’s talking with false teeth in or he’s got peanut butter stuck to the roof of his mouth?
Bollo without his tv voice in which he masks it lol
Could not have got the whole cast for this?
i didn't expect to hear richard- i-
24:28
Tommy Nookah???
😅😅
😅😅😅😅😅
After watching the show ,the radio show is a breath of fresh air 👍😃
Richard ayoayde as Tommy doesn’t work….sounds like he came in read his lines in one take without reading it before hand and left early….
Yeah I thought so too. I believe he also played Bainbridge in the TV pilot. I would have thought he would be perfect but ultimately the changes they made for TV were for the best. I don’t think he shows up in until the second series.
This was the original Tommy character and I’m sure that Ayoade intended the delivery to be as it’s heard as it matches his signature style
That's the point. The anticlimax of Tommy being mind-numbingly boring after Howard worshipping him.
