- Rwanda and the DRC must return from the brink of war. That's the message from the United States when the United Nations Security Council convened over the growing instability in the eastern regions of the DRC.
The head of MONUSCO, the UN Peacekeeping Mission, described it as a "deeply worrisome situation".
The emergency session of the Council was called by France as violence escalates in regions bordering Rwanda, most notably between the Kigali-backed Tutsi-led M23 rebels, and Congolese armed force back by MONUSCO.
The UN has warned that the recent surge in violence risks a regional conflict that could draw in a SADC force which includes South African troops, recently deployed to help quell violence in the east.

America should just crak down on Rwanda which is occupying a territory of DRC and ask them to return their military and hardware back to Rwanda. What DRC does on her territory is her choice and if DRC does anything that contravenes international law then that international law should work against it. Rwanda is just trying to be a judge on what happens in another country and so should be sanctioned at international level. All arguments about tribes within DRC should be voided as they should be dealt by DRC her self without Rwanda poking her nose in there.

Correction in DR Congo there is no tribe call banyamulenge meanwhile there is mountain called Mulenge. In Africa a tribe's language it's her name. For example Zulu people speak isizulu, shona people speak shona, same in DR Congo. How come so called banyamulenge speak kinia Rwanda?

The only solution is when our African leaders realize that nationality is not a basis to determine citizenship but ethnicity, tribes, culture and historical background or origins. Where citizenship goes with law and constitution. First of all colonial boarders created most of these recurring conflicts. Unless they are re-drawn which appears a difficult solution. Many families were separated by these boarders depending on where people lived or occupied then.
