Fonte was a great leader and captain, lambert scored goals for fun for seasons on end until he left us. Both were aging as they left, and fonte is now playing very well for lille in France. Tbf on his day Andy Carrol is brilliant. Had he not have had so many injuries he would have been a massive player for Liverpool. Some of the goals he’s scored are absolute worldie. He made 43 assists alone in the PL while playing for Aston Villa, which Aston Villa have not been able to replace at all .. not even close since Ashley Young changed club to Manchester United! Andy Carroll was class. He was just plagued with injuries throughout his career, i reckon he’d have been a quality had he stayed fit consistently.
Not to mention he did actually win liverpool a trophy with suarez and get to another final.
