Dina! I thought of an idea while watching your video! You could do a series of a creature design but with picking from dog breeds and making new puppers :)
Headcannon that these animals are extremely territorial and daunting, but also survive together in a tightknit pod. Maybe they're pack hunters and pursue prey much larger than themselves?
i live in a small fishing town and wen we would catch something we call a swelling toad it would puff up and croak and me and my brother would mess around with them for hours
I'm in love with your design, definitely have to do a fanart of your creature design! But I will also try to come up with my own, seems to be a very interesting mash up :D Thank you for featuring my creature design
This is an amazing mash-up! I think the technique you've been perfecting works really well, the mix seems very plausible now and I'm just digging your creature designs! They are also fun to watch on stream :D 💕 Have a lovely weekend
These things are so majestic! If ya wanted something Latin sounding then maybe Lupis Delphier if we want a layman’s term probably something like Colopin or Wuldon. Ahhhhh I wanna ride one 😍
This is a pretty neat idea, I believe I have seen it before and you have it executed terrifically! I love the blue patterning and ridges on the fins. I look forward to your next creature video!
This is so so sweet! I absolutely love them. Fun fact though! There were no swimming dinosaurs :) Dinosaurs were strictly land animals, but there were other larger flying and swimming reptiles at the same time. One way to distinguish them are their limb joints. Dinosaur legs go straight down like ours or birds, while the swimming and flying reptiles have limbs that go out first, like a lizard or crocodile :D
In Liquid Color there is no fully aquatic dinosaur (like you said). She probably thought of extinct marine reptiles like, mosasaurs, ichthyosaurs and plesiosaurs.
In Liquid Color yeah I was just a bit too eager to comment, since you also seemed like a person that likes dinosaurs. I usually don’t find many of them.
This combination again turned out gorgeous. Your fantasy and style are so beautiful. I went to twitch once to watch you but that's too long for me. Your youtubes are so good and palatable. And the non-digital work speaks to me so much more... Thanks. looking forward to the next.
Excellent work, the only thing missing I think was the shadow that would have been cast on the the creature in the background...but very beautifully done very creative. Thank you for the post.
Guess who hasn't had a chance to go ham on arttube until today?! This gal. 💜💜💜 Love your creature designs they make me want to make more funky monsters 💜💜💜 omg I hate it when the cards dick off 😬😬😬 love these 😍😍😍😍 time to join in the doodles! Love yours so much! :D
Wolf fish is Steinbit in Norwegian. It’s known as a pretty good food fish (if that’s how you say it, lol) I just thought you might have heard of the Norwegian name for it :P
A cool idea for the future since you enjoyed drawing the two creatures, could be drawing a male and a female version of the creature. It's common in nature for the two to look quite different so could be interesting to make two of the same creature but with slight variations!
I'd just call them Colfins :) Awesome design, love your ideas and style. You always inspire me to draw more and you always remind me that I don't necessarily have to draw humans in order for my art to be considered good lol Thanks so much for your constant inspiration and keep going and growing!
Hi! So, I found your stuff a bit ago, and I figured maybe your subscribers would like a few tips I compiled for my own creature designs. It's less about mixing animals together and more about creating creatures in general: ((This is gonna be long... I should probably make videos about it. Ah well.)) Consider evolution! In my experience, there are several ways to start making a species, but many people find it helpful to look at already existing species, and even if your creature isn't going to be based on any species, it's a good idea to see what things make them effective in their niche. What this means is, what evolutionary traits help it survive? From the overall shape of a creature to the shape of its pupils, every change has been created by process of elimination. A rabbit evolved its strong legs to escape predators. Elephants developed trunks because, as they got taller and bigger, they needed a way to reach the ground. Giraffes developed their long necks so they could get to the top leaves of trees, and have long tongues that can not only give them a few extra inches, but also so they can clean out their noses from the ants that protect acacia trees. With this, there may also be vestiges of past traits, like hipbones in some snakes and bones that show whales once had large back legs! These things are more evident in transitionary species, but it does give you an option to give some seemingly useless traits without it being unrealistic! Decide its purpose first If you decide what part of the ecosystem the creature is meant to fulfill before designing it, it will make for a more cohesive creature on the whole. A carnivore, herbivore, and omnivore all have very different traits that will show through. Herbivores typically have larger eyes, flat teeth (for grinding rather than tearing), and their heads and mouths are typically smaller because they are using their mouths to eat, not as a weapon. There are many other differences, but those are a few. Birds have a similar difference. Raptors have hooked beaks for tearing, fishers have long, narrow beaks, and seed eaters have small, rounded beaks. There are exceptions, of course, but that is the generally accepted norm. An omnivore can have a mixture of carnivore and herbivore traits. magical v realistic If it is a magical species, some rules can be bent, but you should still consider anatomy and whether the creature would be able to support its own weight. This will make the creature more solid as a whole. colors I have seen some pretty amazing color combinations for species, but I have also seen some... not so amazing ones. For handy color pallets, I use paletton.com. This website gives you a saveable pallet that may help you if you're not sure which colors will go well together. There's another called coolors.co/ if you want a pallet created entirely randomly for you.If you're making a creature that is meant to be true to life, however, remember to take into account its environment, and look at existing animals to see how each one blends into its surroundings. Thanks for reading my tips, and let me know if you want me to share more or if you have anything to add!
my fav so far :D i love it! i would like to make a artdoll of this creature because it would challenge me a lot ( not selling it or anyhting...) would that be ok? :)
maybe the Latin name could be Bos Dralupus? cows are Bos Taurus and Dralupus is a portmanteau word meaning dragonwolf. This is a cool combo, especially since cows and dolphins are very recent split offs genetically, the first real divergence is in their families but they are both in the Artiodactyla order
I imagine it being more like a dad and his son and the son was caught at a party and the dad is yelling at the people there while he takes his son out of the party
I also want to say that it’s pretty important to understand that not all animals have features similar to other animals. Some animals glow for one reason, some for another, some have this very unique features, others are completely ordinary. There are some animals that have features that cannot be found anywhere else. This is why I personally think people should get too stuck on anatomy and biology when it comes to creating new creatures.
I love all of your designs! They are just amazing and I cant really put it into words. I wanted to ask you since im an 3d Model Student from Germany if it was fine for me to recreate one of your designs as a 3d model that is textured. It wouldnt be monetized in any way.
Dina there is nothing called aquatic dinosaurs, as no dinosaur was fully aquatic. You are probably thinking of extinct marine reptiles, like mosasaurs, plesiosaurs and ichthyosaurs. One way to tell the difference is that all dinosaurs had legs that went downwards, while marine reptiles have arms and legs splayed outwards.
Not gonna lie I was a little disappointed. When I saw the thumbnail I was super excited to see you get your animals then pick what works about them and make this awesome creature like usual but we didn't get to see that. My favorite part of these videos is the design process and we didn't get to see it. I love watching you pick and choose pieces of animals and turn them into this new beast and I didn't get to this time. Honestly once I found out that I wasn't going to get to see the designing I was so disappointed I didn't want to finish the video.....I love your videos but this one was a let down for me. Still a beautiful creature your art is amazing as always but I wish I could have gotten the chance to see him come to life from beginning to end.
Dolf cattle? Males will be call Bulls And Females will be called Heifer? Habitat..... Anywhere near the equator? I can't think of anything else.... •^•

Dina Norlund
Why would I want to skip the sketches and talking? That’s one the best parts! (They’re all pretty good parts tbh lol)
What are you going to name the last creature? And in that video I gave a suggestion Abzu (Ab-zu)
But I love to see how you sketch it out because I love your artstyle
Dina! I thought of an idea while watching your video! You could do a series of a creature design but with picking from dog breeds and making new puppers :)
Name: Wholphin Cattle
Species: Thallasotaurus Graciellus
Habitat: Hawaiian coast of Earth-3452.
If I’m not mistaken... the scientific name translates to “Graceful sea cattle/bull” :)
ok but imagine a mermaid au where they have this cute animals and see them as friends?
Imagine mermaids see them like avatars and had to tame the one made for you and it would be its forever companion
Headcannon that these animals are extremely territorial and daunting, but also survive together in a tightknit pod. Maybe they're pack hunters and pursue prey much larger than themselves?
This is defiantly the best/cutest one yet I must have one as a pet ( he is glorious)
i live in a small fishing town and wen we would catch something we call a swelling toad it would puff up and croak and me and my brother would mess around with them for hours
I'm in love with your design, definitely have to do a fanart of your creature design! But I will also try to come up with my own, seems to be a very interesting mash up :D

I absolutely love aquatic creature designs like this cutie! They seem so pretty and graceful
Love your work especially your creature design, absolutely love it!
Awww, such a cute creature :3 I love it
I love these, they look so powerful and elegant 🥰
Yesss I have been waiting for this! I love your random creature design videos!!
I think the first one you drew is a offspring and the second one you drew is a parent. I enjoyed this video. 😜 Love your ART! 😃

@@Anna-pj8te I know what she meant :) I was just adding in a fun fact that none of those animals are actually dinosaurs.
In Liquid Color yeah I was just a bit too eager to comment, since you also seemed like a person that likes dinosaurs. I usually don’t find many of them.
In Liquid Color your art is amazing though, love it.
I love dinosaurs! Thanks so much :)
your creature/character designs never fail to amaze me, you're so creative and incorporate them so well aahhhh
I really love your art so much. You give me inspiration all the time. Sometimes I forget life can be awesome thank you for reminding.
Oh wow I really love this design it’s beautiful!
The creature also reminds me of Beluga and even a Saber Tooth Tiger haha. Looks amazing!
Thank you for sharing another amazing video Dina 😊 love watching these
I love it, now I wanna start drawing animals. I never tried it before but I'll love it for sure ; wish me luck!!!!
hi I love your videos so much there so interesting and inspiring I draw along whilst watching

That is so cool!! Maybe mammoth fish lol?
This reminds me of that creature from the movie ‘The Water Horse’
It's really really cute, plus I love all your drawings.
They're just so so really good and I love your style so much.🐬🐮😄
Water Bull sounds cool to me.
Yas ANOTHER CREATURE COMBINATION WOOOOOO
I love your drawings
This one was beautiful

Wolf fish is Steinbit in Norwegian. It’s known as a pretty good food fish (if that’s how you say it, lol) I just thought you might have heard of the Norwegian name for it :P
OMG I didn’t even realise! Of course I know the fish if you tell me Steinbitt haha, thank you
Dina Norlund haha, you’re welcome 😊 I’m on the other end and recognizes the fish, and forgets it’s name 😂
Dina Norlund I thought the exact same thing actually (I’ve sketched out the design of the new creature right now).
@@DinaNorlund I had the same reaction when I found the norwegian name myself x3 And I work at Meny so thats kinda emberesing 😅
Oh so that's probably Steinbutt in German ^^' - weird how similar some languages just are :)
The wolf fish looks like a vampire
Duude when I look at your creatures I always think of the ones from Fantastic Beasts 80 I think you’d be a great fit for the job of designing them!
I absolutely adore the new intro
A cool idea for the future since you enjoyed drawing the two creatures, could be drawing a male and a female version of the creature. It's common in nature for the two to look quite different so could be interesting to make two of the same creature but with slight variations!
Oh so beautiful 😍 now I wanna draw marine mammals as well!!!
I'd just call them Colfins :)
Awesome design, love your ideas and style. You always inspire me to draw more and you always remind me that I don't necessarily have to draw humans in order for my art to be considered good lol Thanks so much for your constant inspiration and keep going and growing!
If you’re giving them actual names, I would name a female Tsunami and a male Turtle (Just suggesting. Sorry if they’re bad)
Is that wings of fire?
sophia i think it is lol
I am mad about wings of fire
You should make an art book with all your random creature designs in it
Love this design though 👌👌
I really love your creativity about mix animals I hope one day we can put ideas together and make video's
I love them! I'd imagine them being very ornery ;O
My sister named them water moo moos kk
Your animals, your title card, I’m extinct‼️ 😭💞

Just figured out wolf fish is "steinbit" in Norwegian xD Also, this is an incredible cute creature :D
So cool!
Personally, I would call this species “Bovinus Aquarius”
i started making fantasy creatures when i was in 6th grade. I have a binder full of them
edit: i love the creature you drew it looks cute
Just perfect

I love him! Actually, I was drawing a water dragon of my own design and it looks kind of similar to your creature. Maybe I’ve seen him before? Oops..

Cowolf fish that could be a type dolphin
I think that they should be called sea guardians
I'd probably call it an Aguataur
From the Spanish word for water and Taurus as in the zodiac sign for the bull

actually u shoulda added the cows udders to give it more of a cow feel
Finally ❤️❤️
hi! what pencil do you use to trace? I tried a black colored pencil but it doesn't work as well
Looks like the one with the mouth open is a male trying to win the heart of the female! While the female trysts to ignore the derpy male ❤

So, since it's part cow and part dolphin does it live in herds or pods?
The 2 dislikes are the people who are confused wether this is a furry video or not
I'd call it something like a aquadon?
And for a name:
Norwegian Cattlefish

Where do you get the cards?
pls make these prints in the shop!!
Do you feature all the artists?
We need a doll for water bull
You're good as long as you DON'T look up Batfish...
