Kirk is not much better at singing, I think James should join them and handle the singing.

David Gómez If you listen carefully, Kirk just screams like a pirate. Rob may be a bad singer, but Kirk is definitely as bad, or worse.

Fansee 13 I think Rob sounds borderline okay in these covers, usually, but was really bad in this one. Should have probably played and sung at a different key.

Jesus Christ Kirk, you've been playing guitar for 40 years now and still sound like the overdub guy on the Yngwie guitar god parody video.
That's what happens when you can't play guitar without fucking up for 40 years while people say you're good everyday... This is literally one of the very first solos most beginners learn and he just turned it into the same licks he plays on every solo he writes. It's unbelievable, man. A lot of people are saying this is funny and when i read those comments, I can only think two things: Metallica fans are becoming kiss fans where don't matter what stupid thing the band does they support. And Metallica fans really stopped knowing anything about music.
I guess that's what happens when you try to become a pop band for 20 years.

LOL What beginners play John Norum solos? He's almost Yngwie level. I've played guitar for 35 years and been a guitar instructor on and off for 20, so I know what type of solos beginners learn - basic pentatonic blues licks like some of Hendrix and Jimmy Page's simpler stuff, and then maybe 6 months later, move on to some of Randy Rhoads' slower leads. Solos like this are definitely intermediate bordering on advanced level. Jesus, people on UA-cam are ignorant idiots.

They're not. This is probably recorded directly from the mixing board, which would include hardly any audio bleed from the audience. That's why when you do hear the audience it sounds like 20 people.

Am I the only one who realizes these doodles are just for fun?
Well, the thing is, those are doodles from bands that are from the country they play it in. It is meant as an hommage to the country and the fans, acknowledging what influence their country made to music in the wrld. And with that, they should maybe try to play and sing a lil better. Since they are professionals, they surely know how, and wouldn't have much work with it. Heck, every s***y band can play this, except for maybe the solo and the mega high vocals, so surely Metallica could play it great if they wanted to.
If butchering famous songs are what you call as "having fun", I am afraid that you have issues here.

This is not some trivial mistake. This is half baked stuff with basically no effort.
They show the young generation / beginner musicians that there is no shame on stage and that you just need to have fun and everybody likes it. amazing great idols
This is so cringey but awesome thing they've come up with. Playing an icong song from each country visiting. I love the relationship between the fans and band. The way they interact and do special stuff like this with/for the fans. There is something so metal about it.
A family that likes to have fun beyond just having a great show.

James and Lars take a break, and its pretty awkward having 10-15 minute breaks like on the MetOn Tour. Worldwired is already about 10x better just with these doodles
