The original figure was the very first transformer. I was actually able to convert between both modes effortlessly when I was a kid. Because of that, he instantly became one of my favorites, and had Innoway helped solidify my love for the franchise since the other figures I had were beast machines supreme, Cheetor and Transmetal 2 Megatron, and they didn’t last more than a few days.
I love this Megatron. He feels very good in hand, especially the tank mode. I love just how the Armada figures been turning out in Legacy so far. They're updated to meet generations standards but also true to the originals. I love them. Can't wait for the SG Sideswipe that was just shown off at SDCC 23 to be inevitably repainted into Wheeljack.
You're supposed to lift up the purple pads on his shoulders before moving his arms to avoid paint rub. The orange painted bits on his upper chest rest in grooves under them in tank mode. Also I think we're getting a Legacy Tidalwave since this Megs has a torso slide joint that really doesn't serve a purpose otherwise.
Great quick review. I like this figure a lot. I hope to see it in G1 colors. I cut the black rim off of the back of the helmet so he can look up. It’s just the black rim on the back. He can look up high enough now to see Optimus in the face before the pants hit him. Before swinging the arms down, I learned that if you don’t flip up the shoulder flaps you will scrape the orangey red paint of of the details on his chest. I hope that made sense.
Omg, thank you! I also spent far too long trying to slide thst face cover down in robot mode before my brain realised thats not how that worked! Why would they mold it like that, implying that it slides down, and then not implement that feature. I like this guy, but i hate how loose the shoulders are. I wish they had a way of locking in when in robot mode. A couple more accessories wouldnt have gone amiss either. Got Optimus on preorder, coming first week in August
Abysmal toy. Especially for a Leader class. Has none of the gimmicks the original has, you can't even manipulate the arms without the shoulders immediately dropping, the exclusion of the face shield slider makes zero sense and the fact they wasted half a dozen parts on JUST preventing the turret from going "male member mode" is laughable to say the least. Not even talking about the missing minicon ports or Leader 1. Which makes one wonder all the more: why is a minicon all of a sudden possible with the new Powerlinx Hotshot and SG Sideswipe!? Just shows they DID know but didn't care. And meanwhile we keep paying out the behind for these ever shrinking figures... Worst part? If the design team actually did their due diligence on this much wanted character we could have gotten so much more within the same budget. Thank you for the review, peaugh, and sorry for the rant.
Okay 1: What do you mean by “changed name”? He’s still called Megatron and sold as such. And 2: How does being smaller make him worse? If anything, the fact the smaller version has greater possibility says the opposite
@@daringilmore6470No? Armada Tidal Wave was the guy who split into three ships. He could combine with this Megatron, but Armada Megatron has always been Armada Megatron
@@NerdyTransformed ok. But when I looked up "Armada Megatron" some of them didn't have the "antlers". Why does this one have them? And if Armada Megatron has always been Armada Megatron, why was another figure made?
@@androzani84productions85 I didn't say making him smaller made him "worse". And couldn't they have kept the bigger size and improved the articulation? Was making it smaller a necessity for improving it's poseability?
This is a shit toy for a leader class. The forearm should not be hollow at this price point and the shoulders should be more stable just lay design and a ripoff

Will do so from now on! Thanks for the tip!

I've tried using a black Xevoz knife for the left hand, but sadly the posts they used for that line is smaller than 5mm

😁🤩🤟🎸🎉👏
So Hasbro just changes a Transformer's name? And the newer version is smaller? Seems they're talking a few steps backwards.
