A hash is not a unique identifier; one hash can be the result of multiple, different inputs. As a proof, a 128-bit hash can only encode up to 2^128 different numbers, but a hash function can take as input any arbitrary data, of which there is way more than 2^128 possible inputs; by pigeon hole principle there have to be "collisions". Otherwise good vid :)
