My dad shot a 172 5/8" buck and I shot a 165 2/8" buck last year with early season 12AW tags. We drew the tags with 5 points and did it all DIY. Although I will say it's not the first time we have drawn the tag together and he has drawn the tag many other times solo so the area is not unfamiliar and we spent a decent chunk of time scouting the area last year.

FYI, if you're thinking of buying cameras, starting next year, AZ G&F just passed a law where you can no longer use cameras for the taking of game!
Need to hit that chair with some WD 40!!

Yipee! Drawn for 13B this year. I was very lucky because I only had 13 bonus points. I have my guide booked. Getting ready for November.

just drew that tag for next nov. How did your hunt go?

@@jakethimsen7879 Awesome on the tag draw. The big bucks were pretty sparse, and you really had to work to find them. I hunted with my guide for five days before tagging out a nice 4x4 that grossed about 174-175. I'd have been in bad shape without a guide that knew the area. Good luck to you.

I shot that buck bottom left at 16:41 206 inch gross 7x11 score-able points on the Kaibab!

Congrats! So many sleeper bucks on the Kaibab that are GIANTS…and some years it’s better in on the Kaibab than the strip.
