I so want to play that course now. Thanks entirely to your video. Perfect melange of photography, history and anecdote. Beautifully and reassuringly calmly narrated. Good work!
Loving the format! Must've been a lot of work to record and edit this. You've definitely gained a subscriber. I hope we get to see many more of the cool courses in the world of golf. If possible I'd love to see some more courses from the south and south west. Especially if you know of any "hidden gems" 😊 !
Thank you sir, Glad to hear you’ve enjoyed. Hope you’ve seen the Hayling film - most definitely an under the radar links on the south coast. Sure I’ll feature a few Cornish ones before the summer is through…!
Superb! One can read about these far flung places in a number of books, but this? You've brought Deal to life and successfully pled its case. I'm moving it up the list as we speak.
Great stuff Sam. Keep them coming. I'm going to a wedding down that neck of the woods next summer and will check out Deal and the other big courses in the area.
@@linksfromtheroad nice one. I probably won't get to play as I'm there with the family but I'll definitely go and have a look. Never been down there before so looking forward to it.
I have at school age, caddied for spare cash hundreds of times. In my mid forties I was an artisan for three years. Now 58 I walk the course for fitness early morning or evening.Trust me,it's up there with the best links courses you could possibly play .With Royal St Georges, and Princes within two miles of the course there is a lot of competition. But Deal as it's known, is superior in every way.The green complexes and the condition of the greens are fabulous.I would go as far to say,the greens are the best links greens in the UK.
I have been lucky enough to visit some of the best links courses in the UK. I would rank RCP in the very top bracket. Course design, architecture, and condition are absolutely second to none IMO. It is a brute of a course and makes the Old course look like a pussy cat in terms of difficulty. A must play in my book.
As others have said, great film. Also, a great tribute to one of the most phenomenal courses in GB. It's high up in my bucket list courses to play.
You should have a lot more subscribers. Great videos!
Spotted your hayling video earlier in the week (im playing it next week) these are bloody brilliant
Fantastic. A wonderful golf course and a film that does it justice.
Another beautifully produced video! Thanks very much!
Just delighted it was so well received. Thanks for watching!

Another brilliant video Sam. Was there for the first time this summer - great to hear the history behind it 👍🏻
Thought the history was too interesting not to share. Almost as good as the course - such a special place

Colin you’ll love them. Don’t forget Princes too (as well as the obvious). Unparalleled english coastal stretch for golf in such a small area
