Hello!!! Congratulations on landing an associate job! 💪 If you could, would you make a video talking about the ways your law school curriculum is being applied in your job? I’m a 1L, just keeping my head above water. Don’t really understand what the bigger picture is looking like rn. Thank you!
Hey! Wishing you all the best as you embark on this new chapter in your life. Could you please do a video on the application and interviewing process for your specific position? I know that in-house counsel interviews are different than firm interviews. God bless you!
@@juliannamarieesq You're very welcome! I have the following questions: (1) Did you use a recruiter or did you direct apply to the companies that you applied to; (2) If you did use a recruiter, how did you find one and what is required to be represented by one; (3) tips and strategies to excel in an online/Zoom interview; (4) questions that we should ask associates as opposed to senior attorneys and/or partners in an interview; and (5) what do you enjoy most about working at an investment bank as opposed to a law firm? Thank you!!!!
@@juliannamarieesq I have another question for you - could you speak about the bar admission application process. For example, in NYS what is required, the Character & Fitness application, and other things you learned throughout the process! Thank you.
Good for you! Hoping it's ok to say to be careful to listen to your body around stress. There are many ways to a goal. You are experiencing/opening up to one way to a satisfying legal career.
I'm so happy I found your channel :) I found you through a comment you left on lipsticks and lattes' channel and I had to come check you out - I love Grace, been following her years, and so it's so nice to find another channel where your vibe is similar to hers. You two are like my role models. I'm currently a 2L and I did a summer in the real estate department of a big law firm downtown in my city and it totally lived up to the fun hype that being a Big City Gal looks to be - based on the impression I get from yours and Grace's channels
Hey! Thank you so much💖 Grace is a sweetheart--we actually went to the same law school, but we didn't connect until our school went remote during the pandemic so we've never met in person. I always tell her that I feel like we would have been law school besties if we were in the same graduating class lol. I definitely plan to keep doing work days in my life, and I'm so happy you're here to follow along☺ Best of luck with your semester !!
I would but there’s literally nothing to show lol we have an open floor plan-which means that when you come into the office you can sit at whatever cubicle you want. The downside is that you can’t leave anything there or personalize your desk area😔
All the best to you, Julianna. I have a question, please, what are the conditions for working in New York law firms for foreign law graduates from non-US universities?
Hi Julianna! ✨🤍 CONGRATS ON YOUR ENGAGEMENT!!! 💍 I just wanted to message you and say how much I just adore you and look up to you! 🤎 I am obsessed with your UA-cam, insta, Pinterest etc… you truly inspire me to be the best student I can be! 🥰 I’m in Canada! And I’m in school full time to become a paralegal! (Like a mini lawyer!) hahah When you were in law school, did you ever get a low grade and want to give up? How did you keep going? I got my lowest mark ever in my program and I’m so upset at myself 😕 I would love to hear any advice you can give!
Hi!!! Do you have any suggestions on how to find a legal recruiter for compliance? Or if possible, could you tell me which recruiter you used? Love your videos! I just passed the bar and started applying places and I am so interested in compliance!
Great video thanks for share and send you all my love hope you will send your love back nice day and see you soon best greetings from Thailand Korat..👍.🤟.
Are there any restrictions or clauses pertaining to social media in your contract / employment agreement? You are very active on social media, just wondering how that works in your new role.
Yes, the firm has a strict social media policy regarding what I can say/cannot say surrounding the details of my role & internal firm-related matters. As much as I’m active on social media, I make sure not to disclose any facts that would expose myself or the firm to any risk. Of course, I’d like to share more with you all openly, but working in the securities/financial services industry limits me from being able to talk about specific projects & tasks that I’m working on in my role. However, I still plan to share as much as I can about my life & post-law school journey with you all☺️
@@Jenniferwu11 Thank you! I am just wondering if her job role is as a traditional lawyer or if it is a legal compliance role without the requirement of being an attorney
She is working in compliance. She passed the bar but her position does not require a JD or bar passage, although it does give you an advantage in the hiring process. Good question!
Unfortunately, I can’t show what I’m working on because that would go against the social media policy & other confidentiality safeguards my firm has in place. On a daily basis, my role revolves around handling very sensitive private/material non-public information, which is why I haven’t filmed/posted work-related content in well over a year. I understand people generally want more detail in these videos, and when I realized I couldn’t deliver that, I stopped uploading altogether. I’m sorry.
JESUS CHRIST is LORD and He not only gave you life but He gave His very own precious Life for you on the cross, being the sinless and perfect Lamb of GOD, Who takes away the sin of the world. Christ died for the unGodly, for the unjust, for sinners. yet, you continue in sin, you continue in sexual immorality, debauchery, and impurity both inwardly and outwardly. every man will stand before GOD on the Day of Judgment, He’s holy and just, He’s without partiality. there’s hope and salvation in Jesus Christ alone, turn to Him, pray to Him, seek after Him until you’re saved.
okay but how crazy is it, actually, to work so hard in law school and have your dream career?! So happy for you!!!
