Thanks so much for this information. I have just purchased some of these plants that you have talked about, and now I know to put them in hanging baskets for best performance. I have put trailing plants in the ground that should be in baskets. Lol. Crazy me! Thanks a million! And by the way I watch your videos every night. I tell my daughter that it's my UA-cam time when she calls. I love your home, I could spend everyday just walking around your place and looking at all the beautiful colors. I will be 62 next month, and I still work in my garden. I actually planted 14 gold Lantanas in my backyard today. In my zone they come back each year. South Carolina. I only have an acre to play with, but now I have Lantana growing all around the acre of my house, the others were planted in previous years. Sorry for such a long comment, thanks again. And I bless you every day for what you are doing.
Your videos are awesome. Can’t wait to use your ideas and types of petunias that make a beautiful hanging basket. I have not had luck with hanging baskets looking beautiful. Thank you!
I suggest a pelletized water retention product added to the soil at time of planting to help with watering. It's helped me a great deal because i have so many planters and need close to 90 min each day for watering.
Great video, full of such great information, now I just need to decide what hanging baskets will work in my yard, thank you so much for sharing this video.
looking forward to part 3. I want to know more about the PW soluble food Laura keeps talking about before I buy off the PW website. Can't seem to find in any of the garden centers around where I live.
Can u do a video on your perennials that you have in pots? I would like to plant a tree like shrub in a lg pot I want to make sure it will be okay in there?
Super info, as soon as we pass the cold nights next week my hanging planters will get the PW super tunias Vista bubblegum and supertunia Bordeaux. Would planting time be good time to start spraying for bud worms as a preventative?
Please realize this is Proven Winners page, not that of Garden Answer, so Laura does not answer questions here. If you are using a traditional Supertunia two plants will do it, if it is a Supertunia Vista you will only need one.
In one of your blogs you were at a plant show and said that proven winners gave instructions on how to do the picture frame planter. How do I find the instructions?
We do not recommend suplementing the soil with anything like this due to the chemicals that are included in those products. Some use a plastic bag punched with holes, or a sponge. Some ideas work for some, others don't, but we do recommend against anything that might contradict your plant food efforts. Thanks for watching.
With the addition of Jazzberry this spring, we are up to 6 colors in this line, here is a link to all of our Supertunia Vistas, www.provenwinners.com/plants/search/advanced?series=Supertunia%20Vista%C2%AE
I understand and speak english, but you talk so fast, so sometimes, I have to go back in order to get the informations right ;) But I love your work :) Love from Denmark
Alot of you tube videos are like that. When people know their topic really well, it's a breeze for them to fly rite thru. Nice to be able to go back or save the video for future projects.
She seems to live in Oregon, and I live in nearby state of Washington. This woman is speaking about 3 times faster than most white women do in the Pacific Northwest. I do not think she does this because of “being an expert” but due to wanting to not make more videos. This is part two, and I saw there is a part three, so she likely was trying to say a lot and not speak so long people are bored. Unfortunately it is far too fast to enjoy even as a native English speaker.
Ginger, we are sorry for the oversight, but some of the plants in the background are not meant for hanging baskets, such as daisies. They're habit is too upright.
The wind would have to be incredibly strong to move a hanging basket like this much, the container, plus the weight of the dirt is quite heavy. Otherwise it is best to not hang the basket in the area where it is going to get quite a bit of wind, long term that is hard on the plants.
please help me..ive lost my wife to cancer and i made a promise to her that i would keep her garden and all the flowers that she loved every year now i cant find supertunia black cherry anywhere do you know how i can find any? my heart is broken and i feel like im letting her down. One of my favorites so far❤️ thanks for all the details!
I just put one vista petunia flower in my hanging basket. In no time at all it’s big and beautiful. Last into fall.
Yes, the Supertunia Vistas do have the power to fill a hanging basket all on its own, thanks for watching!
This was great information. This video is going into the favorite file for reference.

Merci pour vos vidéos. Dommage vous ne parlez pas des fuchsia pour suspension à l'ombre. Merci encore
Fuchsias are also terrific in the shade, we agree. Thanks for watching!

Such a great video! thanks so much Aaron and Laura! so helpful!
Thanks for this video. Can’t wait to fix mine like this.
Why do you not have a cable show yet?
Very informative, thanks.
Super info, as soon as we pass the cold nights next week my hanging planters will get the PW super tunias Vista bubblegum and supertunia Bordeaux. Would planting time be good time to start spraying for bud worms as a preventative?
You can wait 3-4 weeks before doing that, it is too early for the budworms to make an appearance unless you are in a warmer climate than most.
Just planted my pots and baskets :)
Wonderful wonderful videos!!!!!!!
Strawberry sauce...spectacular
Thank you so much, you answered my all questions I had .
I have a question Laura how many containers would I need! In the containers you are using on super petunias for 12”” urn

You'll see a link to that on the bottom of this page, on the left, enjoy! beauty.provenwinners.com/small-space-gardening/
Can you use those water crystals that swell up when wet to help with watering?
We do not recommend suplementing the soil with anything like this due to the chemicals that are included in those products. Some use a plastic bag punched with holes, or a sponge. Some ideas work for some, others don't, but we do recommend against anything that might contradict your plant food efforts. Thanks for watching.
What colors can I buy Supertunia Vista in?
With the addition of Jazzberry this spring, we are up to 6 colors in this line, here is a link to all of our Supertunia Vistas, www.provenwinners.com/plants/search/advanced?series=Supertunia%20Vista%C2%AE
How do you keep slugs away from petunia?
Thanks for the inspiration Laura along with all the great info on hanging baskets.

i love petunia ..every year i buy and then killed hahahh hope soon i can keep it ...
Great video
Watched the whole video and you did not talk about the daisies on the left end. Why?
Ginger, we are sorry for the oversight, but some of the plants in the background are not meant for hanging baskets, such as daisies. They're habit is too upright.
Love your videos
I have just become a keen gardener. Great video uk
How do you deal with wind?
The wind would have to be incredibly strong to move a hanging basket like this much, the container, plus the weight of the dirt is quite heavy. Otherwise it is best to not hang the basket in the area where it is going to get quite a bit of wind, long term that is hard on the plants.
@@ProvenWinnersUA-cam Thank you. I had worried about hanging baskets, but now maybe I'll try it.
Is this a repeat? I feel I’ve already seen part 2 of hanging basket 🤔
Perhaps you saw that on Laura's UA-cam channel, we do air the videos on both.
Where i can buy the long basket.
This was an Amazon item but is currently out of stock.
