This is the first demo of Soundpack 1 "AMBIENT" with 90 (!!!) ambient performances I have designed for the Korg Wavestate.

No external effects were used in the demos. All effects are internal effects of the Wavestate. No other hardware was used. No compressor, no limiter, no equalizer, nothing, but the pure Wavestate.
No additional samples are required ! Purely the factory samples were used. You don´t have to download gigabytes of sample-content and don´t need any samples complicated to install. Just import the new performances in 10 seconds via Korg´s free "librarian" soundmanager and play instantly the new sounds.
All in all there are 90 (!!!) ambient and chill performance patches in the package with smoking pads, grainy strings, organic drones and deep textures.
I designed all the sounds myself.

Just purchased one of these great synths and my discovery has begun!
I've had mine for 2 days, and I've barely even scratched the surface with this thing. For those of you expecting to learn how to program this thing quick, buckle up. There's a STEEP learning curve. But well worth the time and effort you'll put into it.
Absolute top class sounds for soundscapes and moviescore. Very, very nice atmospheres. 100 times better than the factory sounds !!!!!!!

These are crazy good patches! Sound nothing like all/most the cheesy factory patches that come with the Wavestate. My advice: Apply for a job at Korg, and have links to your videos on your CV!! Brilliant stuff.

Are the performance knobs programmed to add some easy versatility to the sounds?
Some yes, some no.
Modal Argon 8 versus Korg Wavestate , which one is the best choice for Ambient and ´Spacey Sound Pads ?
Best for whom?
Wavestate sounds much warmer overall, Argon is harsher, less soundtrack orientated

understood about the performances but the programs am I limited to the 700 onboard presets or can I expand on that as well?
You can store 10s of thousands of performances and inside the performances the different programs, wave sequences, time lanes, modulations etc. All edits are stored in the performances. The "programs" are really limited to 740 and the wave sequences to 1000.
