Direct Australian Nursing Registration, Risk and shortcut

Australia is a dream country for many of the nurses in India , especially in Kerala. The process for getting direct nursing registration for internationally qualified nurses and midwives is bit complex compared to other countries like the UK, Ireland and Newzealand.
Initially I was planning to explain about the steps of applying nursing registration here in Australia. When I went indepth, I realised the risk of loosing money if you don’t pass any of these steps. I thought I have to highlight this big risk in my video.
English Proficiency test and NCLEX RN, you can clear it from India but you need to come to Australia in a visiting visa to attend the OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Exam). If you fail this exam you might loose the whole amount you spent untill then.
I briefly explaining about the steps in this video. If you need a detailed video please comment and if you are interested in OSCE I will do a video in near future.
Your expense for direct nursing registration is
IQNM assessment fee $640
NCLEX RN US$350
OSCE $4000
RRegistration fee $475
Hidden cost is there for your, visiting Visa, Flight ticket, Food and Accommodation here in Australia, OSCE training fees, Nclex training fee, Nclex Examination fees, English proficiency test coaching fee, English proficiency test fee, OSCE review fee of $2000
If you are applying via an agency , there will be agency fee as well.
It will be very unfortunate if you fail this OSCE exam. If you are dedicated, confident and hardworking success will be yours. But if you are unsure, there is a short cut to get nursing registration here, which is nothing but go to other English Speaking countries like the UK, Ireland or Newzealand. Once you are registered in any of these countries it is easy to convert your registration to here.

Thank you dear Anna.🙏. When I checked the website OsCe success rate is 69%. It will be very sad if an Internationally qualified nurse comes here after the successful completion of English Proficiency and Nclex Rn and failing OsCe. You need to be really confident to write OSce.

Hi, I cleared all those steps and got my AHPRA registration. When you compare the OBA charges vs Bridging fee.. OBA is cheaper. Yea but need to study 😊. I will recommend OBA rather than Moving to the UK from countries like UAE and struggling with family there till you move to AU. OBA is not that hard 😊
