Jasmine is a master. She is smart, and talented. She's not blaming her failure on anything. Some people take their family really serious. People have to remember that everyone's feelings are different. Get it together people.
It's hard to watch Lady Red. I can't think of anybody else who is so unanimously loved, absolutely everyone can see immediately what an authentic, genuine woman she was, so full of love. Bless you Red.
I love Phi O'Hara but she was a complete sociopath on Drag Race and one of the biggest villains ever seen on any reality TV show. Not only did she argue irrationally. She was ready to throw everyone under the bus including Jiggy her best friend. She also tried to bribe Latrice to throw a challenge to get Willam out when they partnered together - so she was ruthless to the queens and all the queens knew it. Jasmine was not like this and did not throw any more shade than any other queen and was never disrespectful to Ru or Michelle. Jasmine was simply hated by the younger fans ( mainly white) who are incredibly vocal on social media. She was never hated by her fellow queens like Phi Phi. Therefore she does not have to redeem herself or apologize because partisan fans did not like her and went overboard with the hate. To be honest the pageant and ballroom scene Jasmine represents that helped influence Drag Race is alien to them and these angry fans would have hated everyone from Paris is Burning if they appeared on the show. They just about tolerate Ru as she hosts the show. They just want to see youngish slim white gay males that they think are cute on the show and nothing else. And woe betide any queen that gets into contention with their favorites. That was Jasmine's downfall not thinking Pearl, Trixie et al were hot shit.
Timothy Tefft Timothy darling, you use the term race card incorrectly. If the hate posts for Jasmine had zero racial content, no racial undertones and were across the board from all demographics of drag race fans you would have a point. The posts were mainly from one demographic ( Team Aryan airlines) and so you have no point. You have just used a word' race card' because it suits your argument not because it is true. Race has always been an issue in drag, openly discussed in the film Paris is Burning In this case there is no point in trying to be politically correct to spare your feelings or anyone else's feelings. Jasmine haters were mainly very young, very white and only liking only one type of queen - youngish , slim white males with a certain look. From the comments many do not even like Ru, never mind any other queen of color. There are numerous and quite nasty posts gleefully supporting team 'Aryan Airlines' which are beyond disturbing that could exist on the Stormfront website so it has to be said. Check out Tim Tin's YT video on the subject ( he is white). The discussion is very necessary. If you do not address it , it does not go away. It festers and worsens . So if anyone white and not a bigot wants to ignore these bigoted posts and commentators that is up to them. Be my guest get offended, but that does not change the facts, that they have an intense hatred for black queens. Stating 'I like Latrice..' before they rip into all queens of color does not negate them or their opinions. The' disturbing' posts that everyone read on Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, You Tube etc are still there for everyone to see.
Julien Castle Whether black people like Jasmine or not is not the point and was never the issue and will never be the issue. I take issue with the whole team Aryan Airlines bullshit and new fans dismissing and hating black queens almost on sight and idolizing the young slim white queens. Believing they are untouchable and can do no wrong. They also believe no one else should criticize them especially a black queen and not even RU. There was no Heathers or Rolaskatox this season and no bullying of anyone. We did not even have a crazy Laganja or sociopathic Phii Phi yet the hate was almost palpable and the worse it has ever been. If Kennedy won a task team Aryan Airlines moaned that Ru fixed it because she is black , but whenever a white Queen won, she did it because of her superior skills. The show was started by a black queen influenced by the black and Latino ballroom scene among many things, So they bigots need to take fly away on their Aryan Airlines and start their own show. And anyone that said they felt the urge to say crappy about Jasmine during the show among all that hate she was receiving had to be a moron at best and a racist at worst. If someone you don't like is being attacked or abused in the street you don't use the moment as a platform to make snarky or crappy comments about their shoes, hairstyle or lifestyle. Then state later on "my comments were based on dislike not hate so don't link me with the rest of mob". You are linked by association as someone with common sense and basic human decency would realize the atmosphere would make their words inappropriate . BTW I do not really like Jasmine's fashion sense is not my aesthetic, but due to the horrendous atmosphere and dreadful postings she received it was utterly inappropriate for me to state this at the time You don't kick people when they are already down unless you are a thug.
Julien Castle A villain has to be villainous like Phi Phi or even the Heathers, You cant be a villain for questioning Trixie's Drag. As Pearl questioned Ru's opinions and Violet questioned Michelle and was not liked by most of the queen in the outset so that should have made them villains You cant be a villain for being black and not kissing the asses of the likes of Pearl, Fame and Trxie - who the fuck are they in the grand scheme of Drag. To many newbie fans they are now higher than RU Stating Jasmine is the villain is like hanging someone for killing a child one year and then hanging someone for stealing gum the next as no one killed a child. Reading the posts it was team Aryan Airlines that made her the villain and moaned every time Kennedy won a challenge, So my dear she was a villain for not acting inferior to the special young Aryans and questioning Trixie's Drag . She did not call her a booger or try to sabotage everyone to win the prize money. Therefore standard for black queens to become villains is incredibly low for team Aryan airlines. Many black queens are thinking twice about entering which is sad as the show was born out of black gay drag, not Aryan drag. Pepper Labeija would be turning in her grave and as for Crystal Labeija she would be shouting nothing has changed in 50 years.
Julien Castle The bigots s are the only thing that matter as the show is the creation of a black gay man, not a white gay man. All to often when something successful is created by a minority, the minorities are driven out by various means and eventually what they have started is eventually place in the hands of white males gay or straight.. It is not Trixie Mattel's Drag race she has been in the industry for exactly 3 years and Ru has been a queen for over 30 years. Yet the Aryan airline fans applaud Pearl for standing up to Ru , while simultaneously vilifying Jasmine for standing up to Trixie. Any young white male doing drag for a few years will be confident about their popularity and success on the show, while the minorities face the same old struggle on a show that was created with them in mind.
Julien Castle No it would not be the same if a white gay male created the show. As the Ballroom scene which influenced Rupaul greatly did not come from white male gay culture. Hence there are no white gay males in Paris is Burning. Once something is successful there is a tendency for white males - gay or straight to take it over and re-white history.erasing the minorities from existence and then making it their own. Apparently Rupaul's Drag Race is no exception.
I don't understand why people were so awful. How do you tell someone their behaviour on tv was unkind, how do you do that, and then send them death threats??? UNTHINKABLE. Jasmine has looked like a ray of sunshine to me since day one of the competition, and she looks absolutely beautiful here.
Mitsunyan The older season 7 queens got it so bad from the fans. As far as I know,Kasha didn't get any death threats but the rest of the "Bitter Old Lady Gang" (Ginger,Kennedy,Jasmine) ALL got death threats from fans. For Ginger,it was because she thought the younger queens were coasting. Kennedy,it was for similar reasons but she got it worse because she did better than Katya in that lip sync.
Jasmine is right though. The second the season 7 cast was revealed, there was a mountain of shit thrown at them. A lot of 'this season sucks' comments and immediate hate. The problem is that now Drag Race has gotten so huge it's audience has shifted. There are literally people who have never heard of Paris Is Burning or legendary houses, judging drag queens as if they're experts on drag. Social media has created a world of bullshit for even very established queens. Even RuPaul had to address it because the DEATH THREATS and racist/ classist shit had gotten so bad. Jasmine seems way cooler here. Trixie and Latrice were on earlier episodes and were like ' Jasmine is the best. It's totally unfair how she's been treated and she's a great queen'.
Jasmine is right about the fandom being upset about her not understanding Trixie literally till this day if you go watch untucked look at the comments they are dragging jasmine and ginger because they felt like it was old school verses new school on top of that it's a lot of racism in the rpdr fandom
Oooh and please don't compare PhiPhi to Jasmine. PhiPhi's attitude was PURE hatred. She had problems with everyone! Jasmine said a couple of ill-opinions and all hell broke loose.
She seems like such an amazing person. I will never understand why anyone would threaten another persons life, especially over something like a TV show. So much of drag race is about loving and accepting yourself and other people, these so called fans maybe should pay a little more attention to that message
It's a shame that entertaining queens don't always suit the drag race format. Jasmine is one of the strongest examples, she's very respected and loved by other queens with a reputation as a true professional.
Jasmin is actually one of the realist queens from that show and I do genuinely feel like she was poorly edited to look like the villain in the small amount of time she was on the show
I love how Hey Qween always spills the t about every Drag Race girls' true background stories. Many misunderstandings have been resolved thanks to this show. KEEP IT UP, HUNTY!
I've been watching Jasmine on Periscope unedited and got to know her a bit better. She's a nice person. Thanks Johhnny for bringing her on your show. She looks stunning. She's so open, honest and real. I can't believe there is so much hate. Drag Queens need our love and support. They are humans beings at the end of the day.
A completely different person in the show! Much respect for all the queens who have to put up with the mind games and isolation and bull shittery they are put through on Drag Race
Jasmine, please, don't hide your smile. don't hide your mouth when you laugh. you are gorgeous, and your teeth are awesome and your are giving me life!
I must have been living under a rock because I never heard about all of these death threats. Really? Over a few drag queens on TV? Get several grips and take multiple seats. I never even remembered Jasmine Masters being anything but entertaining. If that's what provokes so much hate in these tired queens, then there is something missing between their ears. Some of Ya'll don't deserve equality, you're beneath contempt.
David Dwyer You are welcome but your comment about miss master's was a exactly what I was thinking. She is a Mis understood queen.. I'm guilty for being so judgemental about her..but watching her videos and the respect other queen's give her gave me a reality check.. I don't want to be judged by one thing so why was I judging miss masters'? It's shameful that there are those out there who fail to check themselves.. no one deserves to be hounded with the crap she has.. so no wonder she gets sad or angry or fights back.. but I hope she remembers the love and respect for her from those who really do care. And im glad the negative incidents haven't stopped her being a fan-fucking-tasticly fierce queen!!
Just hearing Jasmine talk about these queens receiving death threats, and hate makes me worried for when I start doing drag. Yeah I was upset with her when she gave up at the time that episode was put out, but I wouldn't have gone as far as that.

I was annoyed with Jas in the show due to her seemingly narrow opinion of what drag is and isn't (which came off a little hateful), but this interview made me reconsider - as it made me realize I'd been an idiot and neglected the context of Jasmine's commentary - which is a given in reality TV. I remember "The Brass Rail" that club used to stay turned up on "Brown Sugar" nights! I got my ass pepper sprayed ,because some lesbians were fighting on the dance floor and I kept on dancing LOL #Goodtimes
Yay, I was waiting for Jasmine to come on here! Love her; so funny and down to Earth. All the people that hated on her were nothing but bullies themselves ( we have a lot of down-low bullies in the gay community, lets talk about that sometimes).
Drag race started as an underground show sponsored by anything willing to but now that its grown so much interest its gathering viewers world wide who aren't necessarily tuning in because they love it, they're watching for the hype. Also I'm pretty sure from the thousands of people who send in audition tapes there's going to be a few sour grapes who never made it on and they think they're the best thing since KY. -Side note- Why does everybody blame the editing? No doubt the way something is cut and with music etc drama can be exaggerated but it's not dubbed, that shit left your mouth at some point.
There is no shade about the Birthday Paries, you've seen Sweet 16, you've seen real housewives, and lives of the Rich and Fabulous some of those birthday parties come with a six figure check, let's keep it real.
_I am Jasmine Masters and I have something to say: Rupaul's Drag Race has fucked up drag!_ *I C O N I C*
in every sense of the word, henny.. TEA!
Jasmine got those abs just by laughing
Jasmine is a master. She is smart, and talented. She's not blaming her failure on anything. Some people take their family really serious. People have to remember that everyone's feelings are different. Get it together people.

I LOVE Jasmine Masters. She is just fantastique and I was devastated when she was eliminated.
Oooh and please don't compare PhiPhi to Jasmine. PhiPhi's attitude was PURE hatred. She had problems with everyone! Jasmine said a couple of ill-opinions and all hell broke loose.

Phi phi is a good person tho...
I saw Jasmine Masters.... she was so kind and entertaining!!! I loved her!
Other Queens have had this issue even in the past seasons. Jasmine is family driven what a privilege to have a loving family.
There is something about Jasmine that makes you wanna see more of her. Her humor is very natural.
OMG I just love Jasmine. Her laugh is just pure joy!
I really do love Jasmine. RPDR really is getting sickening to watch (not in the good way).
😂😂😂😂😂
When she said: "daddy should have shot you in a sock.." Z
I bust a bag.
I love how family is everything to her! Such a beautiful person!
She seems like such an amazing person. I will never understand why anyone would threaten another persons life, especially over something like a TV show.

Another underrated queen I unironically love. She's just so... iconic
she looks gorgeous
OMG YASSSS "NoTeaNoShadeNoPinkLemonade"
I adore jasmine!
I want Jasmine to be my drag mama.... 😊
I do wish this interview was a bit longer… I want to know about her current life and future projects.

I can't believe there is so much hate. Drag Queens need our love and support. They are humans beings at the end of the day.
i think Jasmine is special. i like her. i like what she brings to the table.
10:38-10:40 I was like did the screen freeze or something...was freaky lmao
A completely different person in the show! Much respect for all the queens who have to put up with the mind games and isolation and bull shittery they are put through on Drag Race
Jasmine, please, don't hide your smile. don't hide your mouth when you laugh. you are gorgeous, and your teeth are awesome and your are giving me life!
Jasmine gives us like it is... some ppl cant take That...

I LOVE JASMINE MASTERS! She keeps it real! The race didn't really capture her essence but she is great

Jasmine is an amazing person! xx
Just hearing Jasmine talk about these queens receiving death threats, and hate makes me worried for when I start doing drag. Yeah I was upset with her when she gave up at the time that episode was put out, but I wouldn't have gone as far as that.

I love Jasmine so much.
Ok so I didn't like Jasmine that much on the show, but people need to understand that this is a TV show and I actually warmed up to Jasmine through this interview a lot.
And the same thing happened to me with Laganja, on the show she was not my favourite but now that she got to explain herself I really really like her :)
I really LIKE, Jasmine! She seems like a real, down to earth person! Very sweet personality!

Love you Jasmine!! You're the real deal.
When you're a queen with a big personality and a lot to say, editing can bite you in the ass, which is why I would never be on a "reality" TV. To those who don't think editing plays a major part in the role that one plays on a reality TV show, you're naive.
The hate Jasmine received really turned me off the fans of the show and the show itself. It's too bad.
I absolutely ADORE Jasmine! Beautiful inside and out.
I was annoyed with Jas in the show due to her seemingly narrow opinion of what drag is and isn't (which came off a little hateful), but this interview made me reconsider - as it made me realize I'd been an idiot and neglected the context of Jasmine's commentary - which is a given in reality TV. I'd never send hate to a queen (or anyone else) on twitter, because I have better shit to do with my life, but I feel really badly for her receiving that much hatred.
Much respect for Jasmine. #feedthechildren
this show makes me appreciate my queenhood more than ever before!
It likes Grace's experience after Jack's Talk show (I second that emotion) "Now love me Back Damn It!!"
Oooh I love Jasmine!

LOVE YOU JASMINE!
I believe lady red is in heaven we love her we miss her and beautiful souls will never die

Yay, I was waiting for Jasmine to come on here!
Love her; so funny and down to Earth. All the people that hated on her were nothing but bullies themselves ( we have a lot of down-low bullies in the gay community, lets talk about that sometimes).
Jasmine, where do you get those huge earrings you wear?
Love Jasmine x
Find u someone who laughs at everything like red does Johnny.
You look gorgeous Jasmine, Love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May Lady Red rest in peace. It's sad that she's gone forever. 😢

Why did Jasmine predict Trixie marketing her Barbie doll aesthetic
Yes ,Jasmine is my Jush ❤
Jasmine gurl I feel for you. You know I know I love you. Can't begin to understand what you must have gone through, but look at you now!!!!!
Fuck what anyone says, i am HERE for Jasmine Masters!!!!!!
Jasemine so real and looks so stunningly beautiful and lady red as well I love ❤ lady red laugh.
There is no shade about the Birthday Paries, you've seen Sweet 16, you've seen real housewives, and lives of the Rich and Fabulous some of those birthday parties come with a six figure check, let's keep it real.
