Millwall has been my team since birth for 12 years and I love it every time I go their luckily I have been ballboy 4 times and I love being right next to the pitch also my brother got a shirt signed by all the players and a ball signed by them also I met all the players and got one of the gloves of our goalkeeper long and I still have and treasure it he’s my favourite player sadly he’s on the bench now
Looking back to when my 12yr old daughter was standing on the seat singing no one likes us with pure passion still brings back emotions now she 30 now and yes the grandkids come now

I’m not sure how much Millwall are hated these days…. I watched my team Bristol City play them at Ashton Gate last year and their fans were class. No replica shirts, none of these unoriginal generic chants like “everywhere we go” or “is this a library”, just pure MILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL vocal support throughout. Some drunken scally in a tracksuit got thrown out, and I later found him wondering the back streets of Bristol, trying to find his way home. I helped him, he shook my hand and wished us all the best. Good club Millwall, delighted to have beaten them at the weekend though! ⚽️🔴⚪️

I used to "support" millwall as a joke just to make fun of a few mates of mine who are West Ham supporters 🤣 but over the years i really did start to support them, went to the den once and in my opinion they are the most passionate supporters in the Championship, maybe even English football , i will be back for a game for sure 👌👌
When I was 14, my family and I flew to Londom as a present for my Dad. And I had the idea to get Tickets for a game. First I only looked for PL clubs, but either they played away or the Stadium was sold out. The first club I knew was Millwall, but I can‘t remember why. My mother bought the Tickets for me and my father, and as soon as we gifted him the tickets, he started to look very weird. Then he told us about the film hooligans and then my mother started to hate me. But when we‘ve got there, it was an amazing experience to feel the culture of the english football ans the culture of Millwall. The fans were amazing and they won 2:0 against Bristol City I think. Since 2018 I still support them and I feel very related to them because of my home town club Leverkusen. The people don‘t like us because of the fans, but how the club was „made“, which is pretty stupid in my opinion but through this club I‘ve learned to say „We don‘t care“.
A couple of American UA-camrs made a video about going to a Millwall game. They went to Millwall for the same reasons you did; the likes of Arsenal were away or tickets had sold out. They had no idea of the club's reputation and had an absolute blast.

I'm from the states, was first introduced to Millwall when i was about 7 years old. Had a coach from London and I asked who his favorite team was. Being young, not knowing about EFL and the culture, i expected him to say Man U or Liverpool. He told me about Millwall and I've been a fan/follower ever since. Every FIFA game I had, I'd play as Millwall and get them up to the EPL, still do this today lol. Tough ending stretch last season and a rough start to this season, hopefully they turn it around! Impressive club considering their smaller payroll compared to other clubs in the EFL Champ.
That's us we either start the season well then end up just about avoiding relegation or we start the season badly bu then get better and just about avoid relegation but we never lose hope or stop supporting them. They are our own. I expect most fans feel that way about their local team apart from people like those who call themselves cockney reds who just want to say that they are fans of a successful team.one bad season and half of them switch their allegiance to city or Liverpool. We are one of the most charitable clubs in the football league that are so active in our community but if people want to believe the media because of things that went on in the 70’s and 80’s and not like us I really don’t care. They eon 5/1 and it has been downhill ever since.I, also, went to 84 Away grounds from Carlisle down to Plymouth. I could have told you much. I have a season ticket but apologies for the awful game and if we has scored or won, the atmosphere would have increased by 5 times like it used to be at the very intimidating old stadium which was 1/2 mile away.We broke the Football League record by going 59 games unbeaten there and THAT WAS a fortress

As Millwall fans we are hurin...somehow summer takes away what we love, supporting and following Millwall. I have even refused to go on holiday because 'er indoors' wanted to go in August...I said "No, football season". that was the end of that conversation.

I remember going to the 2009 play off final against Millwall when I was 9. We won and we had to take our tops and scarves off due to racist abuse from some Millwall fans on the way out. There were some others that shook our hands and said well done too.
In 2012 I visited a match of Millwall and to those who say they are racist you should visit them yourself. Their most cheered player then was a black player (a big black guy who played as central defender, can not remember his name). I am self tannend and no racist comment was made, they even were respectful towards me. Also Millwall is not the only hated footballclub in England, Leeds is another one of them. This comes because these two had violent hooligan groups from the 60's and caused for many troubles in London (Millwall even when they were not playing that day).
