thank you. have a question, I might work with 3 phase once every 7 to 8 years. most of my work on AC is with 115 and 220V, 1ph I want to buy a power quality meter. should I buy a 345 or a 3 phase one?
You are able to merge the recording sessions of two Fluke 173x series loggers into a single cross referenced report. Are you able to do the same thing but using one Fluke 173x series logger in conjunction with a Fluke 177x series? I presently have a Fluke 1736 logger that I tried uipgrading to a Fluke 1738 but turned out after purchasing the firmware upgrade I found out my 1736 was an international model so couldn't be upgraded. My plan is to now purchase a 1738 for monitoring buildings with dual utility feeds. Now that I have enough saved up for a Fluke 1738, I am debating saving up a little extra to instead get a Fluke 1775 but first I want to find out if I can merge the recordings from these two devices into one report as can be done when using two 173x series loggers?
Great question! I just reached out to one of the product experts and he confirmed you can combine/merge the data as you state from different series loggers. Like the 173X and the 177X models.
@@fridayswithbrandon I've purchased from Tequipment a couple times in the past but I haven't decided where I'm going to buy from as of yet. I plan to shop around first.
I am replacing a 435 that failed and looking at the 1777 and the Norma 6004+. I can still get a new 435 II kit but curious how the 1777 compares. From what I have seen, it may be more user friendly for my techs that dont use the PQ meter on a regular basis but I wonder if it has all the same functionality as the 435. I will wait for your review Friday before making a decision. It seems nobody has them in stock right now so that might make my decision for me. Any plans on reviewing the Norma 6004+?
The 1777 I would recommend over the Norma 6004+ as a replacement for the 435. I might do a Norma 6004+ at some point(it's a good idea). If you have the choice of a 1777 or a 435-ii the 1777 will blow it away with performance and ease of use... And the software is way better. As far as delivery Distributors should be seeing inventory in the USA in late November. The distributors that have already placed orders are as follows: Fotronic, Newark, Grainger, and Tequipment
Do you need a subscription to use it ? Or is that just to use remote monitoring . Does it have usb to transfer data to a laptop ? Also does it have blue tooth fc capabilities ?
No subscription. But with remote monitoring you have a few options. Best would be to buy the cell phone modem adaptor and get a Sim card. Then you can download the data remotely. If you want a streaming service I don't think that is available. If they do make it available someday that will be a subscription. I have a video on how to transfer data. But yes you can transfer Data to laptop via USB cable, USB flash drive, or wifi direct connection. Yes some Bluetooth FC capabilities.
You would need PTs. It has a voltage ratio you can enter. But the meter itself should never be exposed to more than 1000 V. With PTs and the voltage ratio the meter will display a higher voltage. Example if you had a transformer that was 100 to 1 ratio the meter would read 110 volts from PT but would display on the screen 11,000 Volts. Again - NEVER CONNECT METER TO MORE THAN 1000V
That power analyzer is incredible

@@MrNightro cool. I'm trying to get some affiliate links or discount codes to some distributors. I'll keep you posted if I get some.

Can this power quality analyzer measure up to 11kV medium voltage? Will PTs (Potential Transformers) be required for this?
