willem your videos are my therapy.
This isn’t healthy. But neither is hoping that constantly buying cameras is helping…
This guy should do both of photography and an ASMR channel and smash both lol
I agree!!
Therapy? They just get me jealous!
I wouldn't say therapy, but it is therapeutic... Lol
every one of your videos reminds me of the beauty that surrounds us everyday
Went on a photo trip there over the summer, great place!
Hello from fellow New Joisy'n! Glad you enjoyed your trip. Some nice photos. Most crafts are a little on the expensive side these days & to do it rite takes some time & effort. I did a little B&W negative & enlarger work way, way back in my 20's. Didn't know anything about dodging & burning back then. Still have my Canon AE1-P 35mm film camera & 2 lenses in the bottom of the tv cabinet & just replaced the battery in it a few months ago. 1 roll of Kodak Gold 200 that is about 15 yrs young in the fridge. Probably toss the film & get a decent roll or 2 of B&W to mess with. Happy shooting.
everytime i watch your videos not only you take the most comforting photos but always on point with the soundtrack!!!
Welcome back! Relaxing visuals ❤️
What A Great Video Well I Enjoined Every Single Moment Watching Those Warm Shots
Your Shots Inspired Me For Real, Thank You So Much For Sharing This Awesome Trip With Us, The Fish Photo Is Amazing
So What Happened To The Fish
Honestly, it's so crazy to see the place that I live captured in such beautiful pictures. You did such a great job and seeing a lot of the places I've been in these pictures was so cool. Keep up the good work.
Im early so i must say i love the content you're creating! Keep up the good stuff!
Really enjoy the idea of scanning your darkroom prints. Must be an interesting way to work!!
Wow absolutely stunning images! Really really beautiful and possibly the most pleasing I’ve seen on UA-cam. That trip was my idea of heaven. Thanks for sharing this with us 😊
I love the colors! I’ll definitely have to add this to my need to visit list
We love old school Willem content!

Loving the video man, the photos you took on this trip are killer!
I love this trip! Hope i could have a trip there too.
More like this, please. Awesome images.
The real question is Willem: did you put the fish back into the ocean? 👀
That’s amazing! I watch your videos from Russia, beautiful colors and atmosphere)

I hope the tourism board of the Outer Banks is paying you well. This was amazing to watch.
Any news about the book? Great video!
im curios of your scanner, still the epson? like v750 or v850. if anyone know!!! thx
I want to start getting into film camera! Which is better Canon A-1 or ae-1/p?
Where is the collab with Grainydays?
...did you save the fish?
What film stock did you shoot?
Normally at how many dpi do you scan the 6x6, and, for YT?
thanx
p.x * 6x7
please tell me somebody took a picture of that scene at 2:22
Imagine you're just passing by with your dinner, minding your own business, but then you accidentally lose your grip, and some giant ape stops what he's doing just to document your fuckup onto both digital and physical media for the whole world to know about. So freaking rude.
LMAOOO
Such an amazing trip with such an awesome crew! Still can't believe the luck we had with the perfect weather. Cant wait for the next one!
Same here! Thank you man
these have got to be some of the best photos willem has taken, the story telling is there, i love the still lifes

“I had never seen anything like it”- Willem Verbeeck
Great drinking game
당신을 기다리고 있었습니다!!
Holy stokes Willem this was prob my favorite one yet and love the storytelling big time
Thanks Joel!!
Having watched many of your videos, and knowing that you typically photograph in more urban/developed settings, I have some sense of your point of view and the images you're able to extract from the everyday. Thus, having grown up about 90 minutes away from the Outer Banks, it was really interesting (and unexpected) to see the perspective you'd apply to a very different setting, albeit one that looked quite familiar to me. And really, truly, the wonder you experienced from seeing the wild horses and a sea bird drop a fish at your feet reminded me yet again of how we, as humanity, might take better care of the natural world if more people had a chance to experience it for themselves.
Did you save that fish? 🐟😀
Dune: American edition. 😆 incredible photos by the way.
Did you put the fish back in the ocean though?!?
i cant believe u went to my home state without me…amazing video tho 🤌
next time x
Hello from Russia. Cool videos. Your videos are inspiring. Always want to go out and shoot smth after watching some of ur videos. Looking forward to see ur new videos, i found ur channel about two months ago and i have been glued to the monitor ever since that moment.
*Fish escapes* "Omg! That was crazy! Hey big guy help me out and throw me back in the water please!...Wtf? this isnt a photo op! I'm...taking...in..too..*gasp*...much...air."
"Only one fish was harmed in the making of this video" lol. Love your videos man, keep it up!
Willem my dude, that backdoor slap was LOUD 😭. 11:56.
Clare de lune playing towards the end🔥
if I saw the red hoodie, I know Willem is back
Vintage Verbeeck
I BEEN waiting for this video and I was not disappointed at ALL. I met Willem the other day and he’s the same in person too !
I went to OBX at the start of this summer. Shot my second roll of film there on the SRT101. Awesome vids man
That's the same camera that i started shooting on film with, one of my favorite cameras
Loved the photos dude! Especially that last sunrise
Hold on, so you’re telling me there’s 2 golden hours a day now!😂😴
That first water tower you took photos of was right in front of the original Coast Guard house! I got a photo of it aswell! Did you get a chance to go to Jockey Ridge?
because A it cost a shit ton of money 😂😂😂😂😂
I really like the way you explain the things, very clear.
Thank you for your work !
There's a shit tonne of excellent images here!
2:27 this shot came straight from the Willem Cinematic Universe
edit: oh wait, everything else does apparently
Your photos are amazing. I’ve been a pro photographer for 20+ years shooting film and then digital and back to film again and I think you have a great career ahead of you. You definitely have a great eye for a great photograph.
Beautiful pictures beautiful beach
When I was a kid my family went to the outer banks every year and I recognize so many of these places you where at! It really brought me back, awesome video!
it's been a while since I've watched an oatmeal boi video, forgot how happy they made me, glad to be back :')
Nice storytelling skills, man. 👍🏼
i needed this. Therapeutic
Hope you put the fish back
Horses be listening to some lofi
I legit said “wow” out loud, alone watching this when I saw the shot at 14:09
Thank you ❤️
this man is always hilarious without even trying - the fish shit rly sent me hahaha
Wow. The horses and the coast guard station at blue hour - beautiful photos. Also trying to figure out what the fish incident means. It definitely...means something...
thanks for the perfectly timed upload willem. just started my lunch break and gonna give it a watch
your iphone didn't do justice but your photos did. The light was beautiful man.
Yooo you were in my neck of the woods! Also the photo at 8:33 is massively underrated. I'm obsessed!
paradise on earth
sunrise over sunset always. the lack of people alone makes it worth it IMO
Always love your videos bro. Glad you got to see some of the beauty my home state of NC has to offer. You should definitely explore the Appalachian mountains and Blue Ridge Parkway next time you’re out this way 🤙🏼
You should have taken the fish back to the sea 🌊
My favorite shot from this trip had to be the coast guard station. God what a scene. Everything about that photo is perfect.
That clip at 2:38 soothes my friggin soul, jeez.
So good!
You should peep Aycock Brown. He’s the OBXs’ OG photographer from like the 50’s; he helped turn this place into a resort town through his photography (which as a native, maybe I’m somewhat sour about, but it’s neat history nonetheless).
Waves angry fist in the air, shouts "Norma, go get my 12 bore, those pesky kids are photographing my pool again".
Man I just love it when Willem goes on road trips, the photos he manages to capture are just absolutely amazing!
Love the videos Willem, but as a Life Long West Coaster please don't lump us in with LA when talking about nature and greenery. There's the post apocalyptical beige color of LA then 5 hours North its all starts to get green straight on up to Alaska. If you're Vaxxed come up to Vancouver CA and we'll show you some amazing places so green you'll think it was CGI.
I just got a shitty results from a lab and it ruin my day. Only 10/36 photos were developed and the rest are blank, they said. Didn't know what happened if it's the camera or the lab. I already shot film for about 10 years and checked all my gear and film properly and nothing went wrong with them. Before I'm going to test again my pentax mx and develop it on another lab to make sure, I need Willem Therapy to bright up my mood haha. Thanks bud!
beautiful photos made, I'm sure this is David Allan Harvey's hometown ? could be wrong
Love your videos man! It’s pronounced Corolla like the Toyota!! 💙💙
oh man, thank you for this atmosphere, i really enjoy every video you make. There is some other youtubers what makes rather good content about film photography. But only when i look at you pictures i understand what it all about and want shoot too. You photos like cherry on the top of this video masterpieces. Then new book comes out, i definitely order one to cold Russia.
Willem, You went to my favor beach area here in NC. By the way, it's Corolla like the car. Next time you're in NC you need to go to the mountains. Hundreds of waterfalls, and extremely beautiful. Love to show you around.
Wow had to hit pause for a while at 8:55 to appreciate this photo. Deserves to be a print!
Good stuff. However some pics would have been even better if you’d used a tripod ;) (DoF etc). Great work on the printing though!
Such a great video. Some of my favorite photos of yours.
If you go up the eastern shore of VIRGINIA. There’s an island called Chincoteague Island. They have wild horses all over the place there
Which part of OBX is this if you don’t mind me asking? Really beautiful shots here!
So a 4x5 would not get me to the houses on the beach? Phaha. My brain was so washed from watching Matt on his review about 4x5 ektachrome and portra 160 that I thought you gonna say that one needs a 4x5 instead 4x4 to get there.
Also I would buy that print of the abandoned safeguard house with the light hitting the windows right now. Master.
Love your videos willem! I’m pretty new to photography, what lens were you using for your film camera?
Willem?…… Firstly great video as always, but why do you always sound baked?😂
