No po. Ive been teaching for 6 years before I applied in Taiwan. I also worked and taught in Japan 2015-2017. I also acquire teaching certificates and teaching Units as well. Teaching experience at least 2 years is requires if you want to teach in Taiwan po.

Ezekiel Concha if your tesol center is an accredited institute internationally, yes its fine. Once u get your TESOL certificate, u will have your own ID. You can check it online if your ID is registered. Ask your tesol center how.

Hello po, thanks for viewing my video. Regarding which country has got better NET pay and living expenses, I would choose Taiwan over Japan. Japan is such an amazing country but its way too expensive though. Taiwan has the most affordable living expenses, foods and other stuffs such as transpo and travelling, in addition, my net pay here is also higher than what I had in Japan in to be honest.
Filipino English Teachers should not teach English in Taiwan, because of extreme discriminations from Private and Public Schools. I really don't see anything wrong with Filipino English. They are very grammatically correct and most American slangs are incorporated in the Filipino English. Except somewhat Filipino Accent are very distinguishable. Yet , the success of call centers in the Philippines is evidence that this accent can be corrected easily. There is also the heavy presence of Filipino domestic helpers in Taiwan which added to the propensity of discriminations toward FET. I do not think that Taiwan could achieve to be a bilingual country into the number of years they wanted. Because there are many nuances in the English culture Taiwan has to overcome. For example business communications, technical academics, technical communications, medical communications. To tell you frankly even aviation communications the Chinese airlines had a problem mastering. As evidence of it there was an accident in San Francisco involving a Chinese airline.

The Philippines is the fourth largest English-speaking country in the world, with at least 92 percent of its population able to speak English as a second language. For some schools in Taiwan, we Filipinos are considered native. I really don't see anything wrong with Filipino teaching English in Taiwan too. To be honest, the school where I currently work at care more about if the teacher has patience and passion for teaching. As long as the teacher has sufficient proficiency to teach at a particular level, it does not bother them.

Hi! One of the recruiters from teach taiwan replied to my email. They were requesting to send first apostilled documents and requirements before I proceed with an interview. Is that normal? Just making sure before I process everything bc it requires effort + money doing those.
If for example may TESOL certificate po but only completed associate degree in college. May chance pa din po ba or they are open only to those who finished bachelor's degree?

The Philippines is the fourth largest English-speaking country in the world, with at least 92 percent of its population able to speak English as a second language. For some schools in Taiwan, we Filipinos are considered native. I really don't see anything wrong with Filipino teaching English in Taiwan too. To be honest, the school where I currently work at care more about if the teacher has patience and passion for teaching. As long as the teacher has sufficient proficiency to teach at a particular level, it does not bother them.
