Well from my salon lady, she said that if you have thick hair then this is great because thicker hair can absorb too much moisture, and cause breakage, but she said if you have thin hair, it's best to air dry because it'll dry quicker anyways without any heat.

@@catslover11111 My first attempt at responding turned into a mini-novel, so Imma keep it simple: I have dense, fine curly hair (between 2C and 3B). I've used every product and routine out there for curly hair, and here's what works for me:
1) LUS Love Your Curls shampoo & conditioner (the conditioner is more like a detangler)
2) After shampooing, I comb the conditioner through my hair (until it no longer picks up loose strands)
3) I leave it in as I wash my face and body and then rinse it out as I would shampoo
4) If I want to add a leave-in product, I sometimes use the same brand's All-in-one leave-in stuff, but it's a bit stickier than I prefer. On days when I use it, I put it on at the end of my shower and then give my hair a little rinse.
5) Otherwise, after I've done my face, I will let my hair down from my miro-fiber towel and then brush through with my pink, Wet-n-Wild detangler brush. Then scrunch the curls from tip to root (to help the roots get some volume).
6) If I want really defined curls and have time to defuse my hair, I will add Not Your Mother's s curl cream (which is pretty heavy, so sometimes I add a little from mids-to-ends and then spray a little water and then re-scrunch from tips to roots to let the residue on my hands coat the mids to roots. Some people say it's better to brush leave-ins through your hair, so try it and see what works for you).
7)The only downside with LUS is the conditioner is not conditioning enough for my hair. So I deep condition once a week and that works for me :D

it really depends on the hair. My hair takes about a day (24hrs) to air dry completely (sometimes longer depending on the style or products used), so I just blow dry on warm every time

Thoughts as a former hair dresser: you've made uour cuticle lay down smoother by blow drying but I wouldnt say its healthier. You still need to use heat protectant or uou will get split ends from heat. Cooler temps will usually be better.
And as a personal opinion, my hair is very fine and i get more volume from letting it air dry because that slight roughness that isn't laid down by the blow dryer is providing more support and lets it stay fuller longer.

💯 I love her but this one didn't really make sense. Air-drying to 90% is air-drying! Blasting it with heat at that point is just heat styling not 'drying'.
My hair hates any kind of heat and only looks (and feels) good if I air dry. Imo the shine you get from healthy hair is nicer than the smoothness you can get from blowdrying.

hair strands are hydrophobic. water can cause damage to it. hair is not alive. silicone and other products that are deemed shitty for your hair makes it look good. if you really want beautiful hair:
preoil your hairstrands before wash, this prevents it from getting damaged during wash. (coconut oil is recommended but use any oil that works for you. apply on strands and not scalp)
detox your scalp 1-2 times a week, this is done before shampooing. (any detox shampoo is good but i recommend k18 detox)
shampoo ONLY goes onto the scalp (use a bonding repair shampoo if your hair looks fried and dead if you want)
shampoo your hair twice to get the dirt out completely. (your hair will feel much cleaner afterwards)
(you can wash your hair everyday if you need to)
blow dry (blow drying your hair is better because while wet, the scalp is more likely prone to breakage. the skin around the hair folicles loosen up a bit when damp, thats why its better to dry it quickly to prevent loss.)
please make sure to use a scalp scrub while washing hair, its a game changer if you have not tried it before.
(you can oil treat your hair with rosemary to strengthen roots but preferably check in with doc to see blood levels and adjust malnurishment and deficencies. also please please please check your hormones)

Most of the stuff you said only applies to people wirh striaght hair, so this comment is for people with curls. if your hair is curly its at its most fragile state when its dry. And when blow drying your hair you should to be using a diffuser attachment, which means the hairdyer has to be close to your head, and because of that i'd reccomend you put your hairdryer on a cooler setting to avoid head damage to your hair. On a side note if your hair is curly you should avoid brushing it and opt for a wide tooth comb instead (just a tip bc i'm commenting this)
