"This is for you Junaid" meant this: remember Junaid Jamshed, lead vocalist of Pakistan's first boy band, Vital Signs fro whom the finale of Coke Studio featured a special cover song, "Uus Rah Par' featuring Ali Zafar, Ali Hamza and Strings? You already know we lost hi last year in a plane crash. This song, "Namumkin" was originally sung by him and Shahi HAsan (the guy singing it now) was a close friend of JJ and bass guitarist of Vital Signs. He was a judge on this season of Pepsi Battle of the Bands and on he performed this song during the finale. So, "This is for you, Junaid" meant that Shahi was singing the song in remembrance of his friend and band mate and it was an extremely emotional performance for both Shahi and the audience.
areebah shahid have u heard bhains kay agey been bajana they both dumb and dumber they got no idea about no music sense even they don't know the singer's name musicians language barrier they can't explain not fair reviews n reaction coz they got zero knowledge talk bubbles jus making money 4 nothing frm subscribers n likes dats it stupid comments stupid followers
@Robin & Jesper Hello I am from Pakistan and I love your reactions. I would suggest you should do homework before giving your reaction to the songs or trailer. Like this Namumkin was originally performed by Vital Signs which is not Rock band at all. In this version of pepsi battle of the band the vocalist is member of Vital Signs and this is a tribute song to Junaid Jamshed who was lead vocalist of Vital Signs. Secondly don't compare every song to Jilawatan because every song has different genre and feel. Pepsi battle of the band is not about only Rock or Heavy metal bands. It gives bands from all genres. also I would suggest watch pepsi battle of the bands. Shahi Hasan is one of the judges and pioneer of bands in Pakistan. Vital Signs is the first band of Pakistan. Vital Signs is like The Beatles.
Shahi Hassan ( Shehzad Hassan) was a member of vital signs band whose lead vocalist was Junaid jumshaid (late😢) ...this song was originally sung by Junaid jumshed that's why Shahi dedicated this song to Junaid and said " This is for You Junaid " and he also said that without Junaid singing this song is so hard for him...he was emotional..he is not a singer he is actually a guitarist but sang this song in the remembrance of their buddy Junaid Jamshaid...Junaid's voice is really gentle, beautiful and soothing..
its originally from the 90s. has the magic of BEAUTIFUL lyrics. lyrics are the OOOmmmph! also, the lead vocalist died some time ago.. so it has an emotional side also for the Fans.
Vital signs produced some really fun songs as well like Goray rung ka zamana, sanwali saloni si mehbooba , Woh kaun thi , jub se hum huay jawan ...their patriotic songs specially Dil Dil Pakistan , Maula and yeh Zameen are very famous..
He said "this is for you junaid." Junaid was the original singer of the song and he was the guitarist of that band. Junaid died in a plane crash. That's why he dedicated the song to junaid.
“Kameez teri kaali” by Nascafe Basement, please react on it, i am requesting this from a while... And also react on “Kitni Sadiyan” by Nascafe Basement, These are the real rocking songs, you will amazed and joyous... Love...
Its an old song it was not in battle of bands competition it was just a tribute u dont know the history its sing of pakistans no 1 band vital signs n singer turned preacher died last year n his friend us only giving tribute to him by singing one of his old song.he is not a vocalist he is a musician but even though he sung it well
Samra Yasir these gay boy's got no music sense and knowledge they just chat bubbles most of time they don't knw what they trying to explain language barrier but gud thing they making money from Google so happy days 4 dumb n dumber lolz
Asma Rana these geys got no sense of Pakistani pop music they got no knowledge about it even they don't know what they own about who's singer they can't explain properly sound so dumb most of time but gud thing they making money on UA-cam
Asma Rana yae agreed.. They just want the more clicks on their vids and sometimes I wonder what the DASH are they that we Pakistanis are dying for their reviews.... we know that how rich is our music and how much diversity is in our culture and so the music is..... and now I've decided not to put a single request to them.. Although I like Robin's cultured manner
How can you both react to such a wonderful song since you have no history of this song so far u guys dont even know it was a tribute to a lead vocalist who died last year, while this guy was a bassist of that group name vital signs, get some knowledge before commenting on anything that is very personal for some fans out here. Period.
The lead singer JJ has passed away in a plane crash in 2016, so this was a tribute by a band member to JJ. The singer's name is Shahzad Hassan Shahi, and he was originally a bassist and backing vocals for the iconic Pakistani band 'Vital Signs' .. by the way, this song was 22 years old.
It actually wasn't a battle of the band song performed by a participating band. It was an early 90s vital signs band song sung by one of the judges who was a part of that band and sung as tribute to the vocalist of that old band who passed away in plane crash last year. Vital signs used to be huge in late 80s till late 90s. The guy singing was actually a guitarist of that band. It is the first time he sang.
Junaid was the lead of that band in 90s but he is no more now he died in a plane crash he was the best. Vital signs was the kik ass band in 90s .May his soul rest in peace.
It was the band vital signs from 80's and in this battle of the band the main vocalist was missing his main member Junaid in this old song sung by him...
he was singing a song which he and his band mates made during 1980's, so you were right you about it and secondly he choose to sing this song to pay a tribute to his late friend and the lead vocalist of the Band JUNAID, who was the famous musican in Pakistan.
For Robin n Jasper... Guys its a tv rwality show where new bands battles each other. Although this is a Judge Performance. This guy on mic is one of the pop rock pioneer of pakistan from 90's
A tribute to Late Junaid Jamshed . Lead vocalist of Vital sign .Shahi Hassan was also in that band. Without subtitles U couldn't feel it . For us it was a great performance . But always love 💕💕💕to see you guys .👌💕💞😘😘😘😘
shahi hasan is not a vocalist he was member of vital sign, it was a tribute to junaid jamshed they vital sign is the father of pop culture in pakistan. for us its a emotional song as junaid jamshed died in plane crash with his wife 2 years back. vital sign rohail hayet was the one who started coke studio and shahi hassan originated pepsi battle of the band. he's around 50 years old by now
Its a battle of the BANDS. Not all bands are death metal bands. Music critique should be open to all kinds of music, not just a particular genre of music. It would have been nice if you commented about the music, and not whinge about it not being heavy. You have to realise and move on with the fact that not all songs are going to be like Jilawatan
Hey Robin and Jesper. You people are doing a great job and i absolutely adore you people for this. I would absolutely absolutely want to see you reacting to LAJPAAL ALI by Asrar (Pepsi Battle of the Bands). But keep 1 thing in mind that these Pepsi performances are live and not studio recorded like Coke Studio etc.
Vital Signs is a veryyy famous Pop band of Pakistan from mid 80s..they have produced really unique and great music..Dil Dil Pakistan song was also by Vital signs and ranked as 3rd most famous song in the world by BBC...
Hi! Robin & Jesper. You guys are right that your expectations were high maybe bcoz of the hype of requests for this video but this song is actually not that high and loud but very calm. its an old song sung by Junaid Jamshed and the singer in the video (Shahi Hasan -group member/guitarist of the band vital signs, Junaid Jamshed was the lead singer of the band) who sung it in remembrance of Junaid Jamshed like the one "Uss Rah Par" sung by strings, Ali Zafar & Ali Hamza in coke studio as a tribute to Junaid Jamshed. Actually JJ. himself and his songs have a very emotional attachment and connection with Pakistanis. The lyrics of the song "Uss Rah par" is actually a true depiction of his real life and journey. He left music and chose religion (we call it choosing religion/right path over world) when he was at the height of his stardom. He was a great man, a great human, he did tremendous humanitarian works, he helped each and everyone he knew thatswhy the people of both sides (his religious & music fellows) remember him in good words bcoz he was a great human above all. Although, he's been humiliated, ridiculed for almost everything when he left music and became religious but he never uttered a single bad word for anyone. For us Pakistanis, there cannot be another Junaid Jamshed. Hope you might get a little bit idea from my long comment. But if you really want to see some powerful performances, check out old seasons of coke studio produced by Rohail Hyatt (another member of Junaid Jamshed's group Vital signs). Check "Sari Raat by Noori".
Hello guys, here's a little background to the song. This guy, the vocalist in this performance is not a singer, to the best of my knowledge he hasn't sung before publicly. He was actually a bass player in one of the two most successful bands in pakistan's pop rock music history, VITAL SIGNS(pop band). The other one was junoon a Sufi rock band, We'll talk about them some other time. This band vital signs ruled the Music Industry from mid 80s to mid 90s, after the band disbanded the vocalist, Junaid Jamshed launched his solo career but it didn't turn out to be very successful, he went into depression. He then met a very popular Islamic personality Tariq Jameel who persuaded him to leave the life of music. Eventually he left music and devoted his life for his religion. But he was literally on streets. After some time he started a clothing business which eventually was a big success. During these years he frequently appeared on TV for different shows like a Ramadan transmissions and interviews. We all know him very well the last days of his life were very emotional and disturbing for all of us. He was accused of making blasphemous Statments for which he publicly apologised, but extremists kept critisizing him on social media and other public forums. He was once attacked and humiliated at an airport. He even forgave them, on the spot. He was such a good human. Always talked about love and peace. Unfortunately, we lost him in a plane crash last year. That's why in coke studio they paid him a tribute with "us raah par" and here his old band mate, his very close friend, Shaahi Hassan sang this song which was originally sung by Junaid himself. Thanks for reading. Lots of love and respect from Pakistan. Keep rocking!
+Sufiyan Hassan Hello and wow!! Thanl you for all that information. We have gotten a lot of negative feedback on that. Hope people see our humbleness and respect in what we do here. To read storys about the song wpuld take us so much time that fewer videos would come out. So thanks a lot for giving our knowledge about a big man for your country. Love and respect are sending your way all the way from Sweden ❤
Originally singer is junaid jamshed sung by this song.. And died in last december plane crash... This is famous band in pakistan vital signs.. Shahi this is lead guitarist.. First time sung this song..
you're not the only one who is disappointed by Pepsi battle of bands, but the majority of Pakistani music lovers are also. IDK who suggests you this one. plzz react to Rahat fateh ali nobel peace prize performance. it is highly highly requested.
majority of pakistani music is love songs, slow romantic songs full of their beloved's praise and confirmations of love. real sweet songs. though its true that we can play rock very well and some of our rock music is superb but these type of music is not mainstream. light romantic happy sad pop music is the prevailing music scene
This Singer Shahi; A member of Vital Sign Band, Dedicated to Junaid known as Junaid Jamshed the lead vocalist of Vital Sign, Died in an Air Crash In Pakistan last year.
Robin & Jesper great respect for you guys from Pakistan! but I am emotionally forced to mention here that this Band 'Vital Signs' was a late 80's band which played together till 95, was one of the Most popular band of that Era from Pakistan! and they produced many hit singles at that time including the legendary 'DIL DIL PAKISTAN' of 1988. but they stopped performing after their Vocalist Junaid Jamshaid wellknown as JJ quit the band. and after that they never performed. Junaid Died in Plane Air crash while Visiting chitral Last year December, 2016. this song was done by the actual bassist of the that legendary band who was not the actual singer of this song, but they did this song to pay tribute to Junaid Jamshaid.. Only the lead guitarist and the vocalist in this performance are from the actual band line up and the rest of them are not the part of the actual line up. so this song meant allot because this song was one of the last songs they recorded in late 1995 for their last Album they produced. this is the original track: ua-cam.com/video/XtDRWgQ6KoY/v-deo.html
Dear sir, it was just a tribute to the late vocalist of greatest ever pakistani pop band namely VITAL SIGNS... the said band was not a rock band rather they had their own unique style.. Inspiration frm western music is evident in their music but they never let any parrticular western style/ musician/ genre to dominate their music... & thats why many consider them one of the finest pakistani bands ever..... Many young boys followed them & now pakistan has the best pop music in southasia (or even asia)......
Junaix is ex band member of vital science and died in aeroplane accident and he was lead vocalist and band is re unite in pepsi battle of band and this band was broke in 90s and they leave singing now he sung old 90s song here
Wow Jilawataan is no where near this song, you only expect exploding heavy metal rock stuff in every song but there are other genre to music as well, this song is originally from 90's by 'Vital Signs' the best Pop Rock band of Pakistan which later got split and this guy was a bassist from that band and also Judge at #PepsiBattleOfTheBands, its his tribute song to Junaid Jamshed lead vocalist of their band who died last year in plane crash. Vital Signs Song "Dil Dil Pakistan" was voted as the third most popular song of all time by BBC World.
It's not rock music, it's progressive rock at best. Original by Vital Signs, the first boy band of Pakistan back in the 80s and 90s. Please react to Kitni Sadiyan Nescafé basement.
Hassan Baqri yeah I really loved the energy of Asrar's singing in it and the music is really great and made it Sufi rock song..a very energetic performance.. I Wonder why they leave amazing songs which people shouting out loud in comments😑
React to "speaker phar", meesha shafi from Pepsi battle of the bands. Not much with lyrics but It has that oomph you keep looking for. Singer Meesha shafi is the girl from the coke studio song 'bholay bhalay' you reacted to.
Appreciate you guys checking out Pakistani music. However, for a review to be fair, the background of the number has to be checked and then the content commiserated with the concept and lyrical content. Vital Signs content: Meant to be thoughtful, breakthrough and serene.
Please don't compare each song with western pop culture. Here its so different. I am not gonna criticize because that is what it is all about. It is your reaction to the songs which can be positive or negative based upon how you analyse it. But both of you are cool guys with manners. You absorb much of our Culture which is why it drags more subscribers from our country. But you should understand about different categories of music. We focus basically on folk and classical and mix it with pop. This is the first time that pepsi battle of bands took place for the purpose of giving a chance to different bands to introduce them to the public. Only a limited number of people attend local concerts and we do not have huge audience never at all because this is some how a Muslim country so all concerts take place at private hotels and not in stadiums. This is all i wanted to say. 😊
aaaggghhg you really got this song wrong. This is song from the 90s and the guy is the one who started the pop band culture in Pakistan. the guy is a maestro, he just performed on the stage as a guest.
They don’t know how we Pakistanis get erected hairs all Over our body by listening vital signs . But must appreciate their hunt for good music , though it was first try of singing by Shazad. We love vital signs . Tell them it was 90s song and that’s not original song . It was a tribute !
Hi, plz react on Lajpaal Ali by Asrar from Pepsi battle of the bands ( not BRANDS☺)...its a Sufi rock performance..and Jugni from Coke studio Pakistan , Kameez Teri Kali from nescafe basement...thx
robin n jesper you guys will keep on being disappointed if you listen songs like these. majority of pakistanies are not into rock music. they are into slow or normal pop songs. only few listen and play rock. like ali amzat, call or uzair jaswal. atif aslam sings fast songs. so for your taste you should listen "charkha naulakha" by atif and uzair jaswal. its a combination of rock and folk with a very superb music and you guys will love it like you havnt loved any from coke studio. otherwise keep on being disappointed. slow folk n pop songs for you
You should kesp this in your mind that not every song is Pop or rock.... You should not compare every song to Jillawatan... Its also a very good song ... React to Kaghaz ka jahaz by pepsi battle of the bands
You expect a lot from a song. God SLOW DOWN. You are reacting like you guys are multi platinum artists and award winning record producers.
Asma Rana
i think they are expecting every song to be hard rock or metal with metalish scream like voice.
Yeah. They don't know about the context. It was a tribute to JJ. They just scrap every song. The Wicky Girl accepts every song from every culture
Asma Rana these geys got no sense of Pakistani pop music they got no knowledge about it even they don't know what they own about who's singer they can't explain properly sound so dumb most of time but gud thing they making money on UA-cam

Vital Signs is a veryyy famous Pop band of Pakistan from mid 80s..they have produced really unique and great music..Dil Dil Pakistan song was also by Vital signs and ranked as 3rd most famous song in the world by BBC...
Hi! Robin & Jesper.
Woke up saw this, gonna have a good day today :)

Robin and Jesper.. You would love "Talaash" on Nescafe Basement..
Try watching Nishaan from Nescafe Basement. It's right up your alley.
A legends music matured over decades. And a couple of teenagers judging. What do you expect?
It's not rock music, it's progressive rock at best. Original by Vital Signs, the first boy band of Pakistan back in the 80s and 90s. Please react to Kitni Sadiyan Nescafé basement.

Appreciate you guys checking out Pakistani music. However, for a review to be fair, the background of the number has to be checked and then the content commiserated with the concept and lyrical content. Vital Signs content: Meant to be thoughtful, breakthrough and serene.
you guys should listen to original version of this song - sang by (late) Junaid Jamshed
@robin and Jesper pls do on charkha nolakha - Atif Aslam and qayaas from coke studio. You'll love it
Please don't compare each song with western pop culture. 😊
It's pepsi battle of the bands..not brands
aaaggghhg you really got this song wrong. This is song from the 90s and the guy is the one who started the pop band culture in Pakistan. the guy is a maestro, he just performed on the stage as a guest.

Hey Guys. React to "Kangna" from coke studio by Abu Muhammad and Fareed Ayaz. Its would be a different and mind blowing experience for you.
honest reaction!!
robin n jesper you guys will keep on being disappointed if you listen songs like these. majority of pakistanies are not into rock music. they are into slow or normal pop songs. only few listen and play rock. like ali amzat, call or uzair jaswal. atif aslam sings fast songs. so for your taste you should listen "charkha naulakha" by atif and uzair jaswal. its a combination of rock and folk with a very superb music and you guys will love it like you havnt loved any from coke studio. otherwise keep on being disappointed. slow folk n pop songs for you
You should kesp this in your mind that not every song is Pop or rock....
