@MegaBlacky: thanks a lot for sharing another oldie from Moyale. The original singer of this song was the late & greatest 'Malfado' who was native of Moyale town. In the original version, the key term or name of the song was 'Madheera Tiyya', not Jero's 'Mandeera Tiyya'. In Afaan Oromoo, 'Madheera' is a bush/tree that produces sweet & sticky berries ['wanza' in Amharic]. Thus & roughly, 'Madheera Tiyya' means: 'my sweet heart'. Jero uses the anglicised/English version of the name with his 'Mandera Tiyya'. 'Madheera/Mandeera' is also the name of a district located east of Moyale which borders on Somalia, Kenya & Ethiopia. 'Malfado' - also known as Malfato - was killed in an ambush by armed ''shifta' while traveling between Moyale & Mandera towns. RIP.
