I have a dyeing cat here, I'm not trying
to prevent hairballs, the title is misleading.
I'm trying to get rid hairballs if that is the issue,
she will eat nothing but drinks water.

Bring her for a walk push moving and move her belly by massaging while she is standing normally side to side like a pendulum which is mimicking walking and other massaging like gently stroking from ribs cage down but rotate the two methods gently.
Papaya, pineapple, pumkin is stuff ive heard but i cant get animals to eat it. I know coconut oil is light and wont make them aspirate and walking up and down stairs.
I cant get my cat to eat the coconut but im certain it gets bad knots out. Brush the cats hair don't let her lick wipe her down with damp paper towels.
Hair can be pulled out with your finger better than a brush.
For knots l try coconut oil its not heavy it gets bad knots out that arent in the gut so if she will eat some im sure it will work and its not bad for them ive seen other vets recomend it and seen people feed their cats it in videos my cat do t like it tho yours might.
I Keep fresh wet food available and iam hairball remedy always my cat works with that to maintain her hairball problem but when i am away and someone else cares for her or she dont get this ritual thats when it builds up in the gut. Add wipe her down like i said keep her from doing all the mainenance and all of this vets advice is good if it works for your cat.
I do all of these things but coconut oil . Belly rubs are only done during hairball problems when they seem desperate though.
One sign of hairball problem is sneezing. Keep everything vacuumed too.
I keep litter box clean always my cat feels happy when i do so stressors to a minimum help.
Keeps these things in mind these things work if you do them religiously preventing is best. Frequent wet food or hairball remedy from iams vacuuming floor and brushes when you fill brush-so brush then vacuum brush then repeat until cat dont want it anymore but you know whats best so keep trying to offer when you see her lick. I always end brushing with damp paper towel for static. Sometimes thats why they lick environmental static.
For brushing i use a bunch of different things combs rubber thingys, but those velvet lint brushes are loved by my cat and tape is a charm to add to the routine to help you with loose hairs- along with wet brushing i have a squirt bottle to mist tissue or paper towels they like warm water on paper towels too not too wet just to stop static. This is all the stuff i do. Sorry this is choppy. Ive paid 3,000.00 over hairball issues its not pretty to get that bill. Ive had one vet say cats rarely die over it only one of her own cats needed surgery. Dont forget they swallow whole birds but def take it serious but dont be so scared that you stress her out ok? Ill pray for your cat God bless you and your kitty.

      @@wendyjomendy Thanks Wendy, I'll
      try some of these things.
I gave here a tablespoon of extra
virgin olive oil after reading that
olive oil could help. I used a
bird-feeder syringe, as there is no
way she will eat anything, she didn't
put up a fuss, which shocked me.
She's getting weak from not eating,
I wonder if I dare give her some whole
milk via the bird feeder... shrugs..
      And thanks for your prayers!

What happend??? I’m currently going through the same thing! My cat keeps gagging and wrenching and I know for sure that it has to be a hairball. I’m trying everything possible before I have to take her to urgent care which I honestly cannot afford right now 😢 I just want her to get better. She’s not eating as much.

      @@anavrodriguez2502 I'm very sorry to
hear that, mine died a few days later.
I was told NOT to use mineral oil but
that Olive Oil was fine, I had to use
a bird feeder syringe and hold her
mouth open, about a 1/2 ounce or
so a couple times a day, but I was
too late, or she might have had
liver trouble, or yeah, just to late...
Best of luck , thoughts and prayers.

@@bikersoncall Oh no! That’s so heartbreaking 😔 Im so very sorry to hear you lost your kitty cat! Im panicking just trying to get off work to go tend to her and see what I can possibly pick up at the pet store to help her situation. I love her so much. She’s been my best friend for 8 years and I can’t imagine life without her at this point. I will definitely try the olive oil and I will also see what else I can find. Hopefully everything turns out well. Thank u so much for taking the time out to respond to me ♥️
