His first time on the Appalachian Trail!

- Something you might not know about me is that I thru hiked the Appalachian Trail about 20 years ago, after college! The Appalachian Trail was a challenge, but what a 5 months of life I had! All I did was wake up each morning and hike and get to see and experience some of the most beautiful parts of the east coast! Years later I moved to North Carolina, to the mountains of course! NC in my opinion is the best trail state and I just had to take my son on his first short hike on the Appalachian Trail!! My daughter has done several AT hikes and hopefully this spring we will do a backpacking trip!

Applachian trail is very large, just seen in the area.
I’m not scared! It was just me and my son and we saw a few hikers. Walking down any street is more dangerous than the trail as far as people are concerned.
