What's so amazing about Gar and Chris Poland being musical brothers is they were both not only world class, top tier, brilliant, amazingly talented musicians, but both so unique, original and one of a kind! In different ways and in their own right. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY can play like Gar or Chris on their respective instruments. Truly unparalleled talent.

If Gar didn't have a heroine problem he would have gone on to have been remembered as the greatest metal drummer, possibly, of all time. His chops, timing, feel, attack and fluidity were far beyond his peers. In my opinion he could have played on Death's Human, Individual Thought Patterns and Symbolic and I genuinely believe his talent was beyond Hoglan and Reinart. Controversial opinion I know, but after digging into his isolated drums I believe he was more talented than both of those guys. Now, hard work beats talent 99% of the time, but this guy was freaky.
I agree, and this comment made me emotional as well. I wish gar was still here, and he is an absolutely incredible drummer very hard to put into words and even that is an understatement.
i know man, i wish someone can remaster the recordings from 1985-1987 with them, all the footage of him is very low quality but you can still see it if you look up megadeth concerts during that time@@thisisnotmalik
