I searched on google it reads That H7 can be only used as Dipped beam not for high beam. What am i gonna do ? Should I go for H7 for both high & low beam ?
Thank you!!! 3 men couldn't educate me like this video has on the difference of bulbs/brights and housing! Im female and have resorted to doing it all my dam self!!! 😤 Just as I did to fix my washing machine!!! Again, thank you. 😊
The car I bought from someone had LED's installed in their Xenon projector housing but the LED's had a dual beam separated by 180 degrees. This creates a weird split effect when you look at the projector directly because you have two sources of light coming out of the LED and getting projected. Took me forever to understand why my headlights looked the way they did but this video really helped.
So some cars will do it if you pull back on the brightening stock and hold it back, rather than pushing it forward. It’ll do dim and high at the same time. Our old Taurus did it. But my crown Vic won’t, unless you pull back to brighten, let it go back to dim, and then pull back again immediately. It only does it about one second though. I imagine it would burn out the bulb twice as quick, but I used to do it all the time, and never had to change it. So I guess it depends on which car you have.
Brother if a car has dual beam headlamp which lights both the bulbs at high mode and a car with h4 which lights only high part..then the brightness of h4 setup will be less as compared to dual beam lamp? Am i right or wrong?
My question is…if my ram 2500 has oem dual headlight assembly with one reflective space, can I get an aftermarket headlight housing that has 2 reflective housings to run 2 single beam lights??
Hello, I would like to ask you a question about the philips UItinon Essential LED 17W h4 lamps. I would like to make a modification so that when I turn on the high beam the low beam also turn on at the same time. Does that have no risk on the lamp itself? knowing that I have a beam with relays that can support up to 100w.
Hi. Thanks for the video. Now , my high beams don't work in my 2012 Chrysler 300C and I was told that the "flap" inside the housing stopped working. Other 300C owners told me I don't have a flap. I have a dual beam bulb. So I am confused. Are dual beam bulbs always on (low and high) and the flap controls which beam to show or do I have low beam on and when I use the high beam it lights up?
I have VW Polo 2013 high line 1.2 TDI, and issue is headlight light intensity is less due to this I am facing problem driving in night times. Even after polishing of head lights. Some bady telling to go for 2016 model dual light type, some bady advising to go for projector lamps. Could you suggest for best option with budget?
My headlamp (hid) got seperate hi/lo beam bulbs..if i install hi/lo bulbs (led) on low beam when i turn into high beams is that bulbs will turn to high beams
If your headlight uses separate low and high-beam bulbs, you'll need to buy LEDs in the same bulb size as a replacement. A single filament bulb can't be relaced with a dual filament bulb because they aren't the same bulb sizes, bases, or connectors.
I have a Hyundai Santa Fe. It has a dual headlight housing. so, a single bulb for low beam and the another one for the high beam. I am about to buy an LED bulb with a dual beam to use instead of the current single beam (high beam only). Will that work properly? So if I put it in the high beam will it automatically illuminate in high beam mode? Thanks
Hi. I have a 3rd generation honda crv which has a projector lamp for low beam and a normal bulb for high beam. I want to put LED bulbs now. So which ones should I choose?
Hi guys, I am from South Africa, if I bought a product from you, let me say for a similar model of my car, is the design the same and will it fit into my car and how long will a shipment take to arrive in S.A?
This helped so much. I have a dual beam HID ds1 in my Grand Cherokee, is there a led conversion kit I can use that still allows for the low and high operation? Thanks
If you need brighter light you should do a total projector retrofit, or swap out your bulbs to a newer style of HID. Contact us for more details on which method you prefer. sales@headlightrevolution.com
Thank you so much, I have a 2018 CHR and I’ve been looking EVERYWHERE for answers for why I only have high beams, turns out that the prev owner put single beam bulbs when the car is supposed to have dual beams.
Good video. But my basic question still stands. My vehicle lens utilizes a dual beam bulb. Should the High Beam filament be installed so that its on top of the Low Beam bulb within the lens housing or on the bottom of the lens housing (Low Beam on top/High Beam on bottom....) Thx!
@@HeadlightRevolution Ok! That's the way I have it. Low Beams seem solid. Not as impressed with the distance on my High Beams. Nothing near my wife's factory installed Xenon's on her 2008. Unfortunately that can’t really be repaired or adjusted, You’d need a different bulb in your headlights. The SV4 or GTR Lighting Ultra Series 2 bulbs would work better for you in your headlights.
Great question! Auto-leveling headlights are controlled by a motor on the back of the headlight that moves the reflector. Generally, the headlight is floating on 3 axis, and one of the axis is an arm from the motor. Each axis is a ball joint, which allows the movement.
I still dont get it .How come my Kia sportage 2020 model has HB3 bulb with with High and low beam in one bulb but when I look at it there is only one filament.
You might have a projector style headlight that uses one single filament bulb. Rather than using a dual beam bulb, You'll have a metal shutter inside the headlight that opens and closes to give you a functional high beam.

@@HeadlightRevolution You were right I was able to take apart the housing very easily and add high temperature grease to the shutter now it moves freely thank you.
In my toyota corolla 1997 (dual filament headlight bulb) , low beam works fine. (one fillamant lights up) but when i turn high beam, both filaments light up,
With the 1997 Corolla I would only be concerned about your high beam function if it causes a problem like an error/warning light on the dash, or some other issues. But if your high beam is as bright as you think it is, having the low beam stay on with high beam is not really a problem - in fact it's a desirable trait that some people force to have happen through custom wiring. Your car takes an H4 style bulb and should have very simple straight forward wiring, and these generation Toyota cars are known for being extremely simple.
