@@kylesstudios1936 For real! Not only did she keep all main characters alive (which isn't guaranteed even after succeeding in all QTEs), she also kept side characters such as Simon, Luther, Carl, Todd alive and even saved a police officer on the roof which most other gamers I've seen be perfect otherwise failed to do. All while showing great attention to detail and recognizing some of the intricacies of the plot before they are openly revealed.
I feel the Alice reveal was a test for the player. Do you feel the same connection to Alice knowing she’s not a human? It explores the main theme of the game. Androids and humans.
I still feel okay about Alice, I guess. But I'm mostly just VERY annoyed cuz she created SOOOOOO many dumbass issues for the player for no fucking reason at all. And it's a dumb twist. I don't think that David Cage is playing 4D chess here. He just tried to do a kewl twist which was bad and kinda ended up undermining his own game. Androids can obviously care about androids, we have a LOT of that. But an Android mother REALLY loving and caring for a child... Now that's something pretty interesting to explore. But nope lol
I checked out of their relationship as soon as it was revealed despite having my doubts. If Kara was caring for a human, who will grow and develop morals over time, it would've been perfectly satisfactory. But Alice won't develop. In my mind it becomes a relationship of need and only that, Kara needs Alice to have a purpose to carry on and Alice needs Kara because her programming dictates she needs to be loved. Their story is effectively a non point. That is only my point though. The game causes you to question yourself and use some critical thinking. That's what I think David was trying to get at, I just think it was poorly executed.
But that''s was the point of the story they are trying to make. You are diminishing their love for each other because you don't feel like its "real" love. And they are fighting to get recognized that the love they feel is just as good as a real mother and daughter.
For me it certainly changed everything lol. But well the game overall just wasn't for me because it was very pro-android focused. Personally I feel no empathy or connection to robots and machines.
@@baronbrummbar8691 As I said, just don't mess it up. Why would anyone have Connor stay a machine unless they are against the androids? In which case the bad ending would be good from their perspective.
You are the most intelligent player of this game I've ever seen. You are exactly the type of player the developers hoped for. The way you remember little details from the beginning, were able to pick up on twists/plot points and rationalize your decisions was purely spectacular! Out of all the playthroughs I've watched, you literally got a perfect ending! I just discovered your channel and I definitely see you blowing up! Just subbed
Also Alice being human would’ve really solidified Markus’ whole reason for wanting to be free and living amongst humans. She would’ve been living proof that “Hey, I was raised by androids and I’ve turned out great” and people would’ve understood or at least be more sympathetic and open-minded.
Kara and Alice's entire story wouldnt make sense if Alice was human. After escaping from Todd, the obvious thing to do with a human child would be to hand her over to child protection services. The whole necessity to flee and to risk everything to get to Canada only exists because Alice is an android.
@@carl_consumer.of.reality I think the Alice twist kind of makes the point of the whole story though. It's like a message to the people playing the game that we shouldn't care about Alice any less because she's an android. If we do like her less because she's an android, it kind of shows that we are similar to the humans in this game.
@@tmm4195 At the end of the day, Kara story was supposed to show that an android can love a human and vice versa, not that an android can love an android (there was plenty of that). Poor writing and direction on David Cages part
I’ve seen many play through if this game and yours was imo the best. Not only did you play this game flawlessly but I liked the way you dissected the nuances of this game. Others miss many things and misunderstand many of the characters.
I was surprised by how clean this playthrough was, but I will say there's one thing I had hoped you'd see. For Kara's part at the bus stop to the border, there's a very uncommon but touching encounter where Alice makes her peace with Todd.
Thought the same, missed that but at least she saved the cop at the start with Connor few people do that, and she was so lucky with sacrificing Markus that she could get automatically saved or he would die and rip
I always liked the subtle visual cue of before deviancy an androids environmental scan function displays a clear 3d grid of lines, and after deviancy the lines become broken apart and free-floating.
You're one of the most intelligent let's players I've ever seen. It's been fascinating to watch these playthroughs. I love your insights. I agree that it cheapens Kara's story, but the twist with Alice being an android had to happen in order for Todd's story to make sense. The odds of Todd's wife being so horrible that she would abandon her own daughter to the care of someone like Todd are extremely low. It looks like what happened is that Todd's wife left with their real daughter, spurring Todd to buy a little girl android in an attempt to fill the void. Honestly, the concept of a child android bothers me. Alice is going to be a child forever. She'll never grow and mature. She'll always have to be cared for. I guess that's fine if Kara and Luther want to take on that role, but we're talking about what I imagine is immortality as long as their biocomponents are maintained and they aren't killed. Since Kara and Luther are deviants, will they eventually tire of caring for an immortal child? Will that create friction within their family unit? And what about Alice? Alice is the only major android character who doesn't seem to be a deviant. She's precisely following her programmed desire to be a daughter, whether that's with Todd or with Kara and Luther. What if she becomes a deviant one day? Will she no longer want to be cared for? Might she even want to become more than her limited childlike intelligence is allowing her to be? Congratulations on your first sponsorship!
That's why we needed a dlc that would takes place after the main game. It doesn't have to be with the 3 main characters but with another character, where they address what happened after. I'm sure on the peaceful route humans and androids would work together to solve problems like robots being kids forever and etc...that would be very cool.
I don't think it cheapens the story. It shows that Kara loves her, either way (unless you choose otherwise). It doesn't make their feelings any less real
Todd's story was so tertiary that it could be radically adjusted to fit a story in which Alice was a human. Alice being an android was definitely not a thing to serve Todd's story, it was a thing to fit Alice and Kara's story, whatever it was the writers wanted to tell.
@@thembill8246 There's no indication that Alice is a deviant, so I would say that it makes Alice's feelings less real. She's just being the daughter she was programmed to be. When Todd effectively rejected her, she immediately latched onto Kara because her programming told her that she had to function as someone's daughter. Had Alice been human, her relationships with Todd, Kara, and Luther would have been more layered and impactful.
@@rudy_4ier The only adjustment I can think of that would have made sense is for Todd to be a widower whose life is so messed up that he can't really care for his daughter. But then there would have been no twist, and it seems like the writers really wanted to have that android twist in there.
I've watched a ton of UA-camrs and Twitch streamers play this game while I write or do things at home because I love the game so much, and it's a lot like a personality test when you get right down to it. So far you're the only player whose choices I was impressed with the whole way through--pretty much every single choice was so well balanced! So often people make mistakes and have no idea; your decisions balanced wisdom and intelligence with compassion and ethics. Just so awesome. Best blind first playthrough I've ever seen. You're a great role model, you deserve millions of subscribers, and I hope you get them in time.
It's impressive you made it out with Luther. He can die in a thousand different ways: in Rose's house, on Jericho, at the bus terminal, at the border, on the river (if you didn't steal the bus tickets).
Dude is hot - it became my priority to get him through the story alive. I stole the bus tickets because I thought the human family could just buy new ones, no big deal. I had no idea that was in fact saving Luther's life. However, as Connor I was so bad I got deactivated. I took too long to find the Android in the pigeon infested apartment. I love the game and I went for the platinum. Too bad I did the good endings first - Chloe must hate my guts after my last, violent playthrough.
This was beautiful. Your playthrough was probably one of the smoothest and the sweetest for sure. I'm really glad the game is so nonlinear - many scenes could go veeeery differently depending on your choices.
Hi there. I have a thought on Markus and the androids he frees. While it is not as neferious as you might be imagining, it also doesn't exactly paint Markus in the best light either. When Markus frees an android, he truly is giving them free will, the ability to do what they want, when they want. However androids by their very nature are creatures of habit, and free will is a truly terrifying concept to them. While this might sound strange to a bunch of free thinking humans, try talking to people who have spent years living in very structured lives, such as members of the military or former prisoners. They are so used to having a structured life that they can, and in many cases do, have trouble adapting to making their own choices. To a lesser extent, anyone who has had a long term way of living, who has suddenly had that lifestyle changed, losing a job for example, will find that they still go through the motions of their old lives while they figure out what to do next. In terms of Detroit: Become Human we see this play out in various ways with the androids. When Carlos Ortiz was killed by his HK400, the HK400 went deviant as a from of self preservation. After killing Carlos, it basically hid in the attic for two and a half weeks until it was found by Connor as it had no idea what to do next, because it had no concept of free will. Deviants that somehow learn of Jericho, attempt go there, and those that reach Jericho just hang around waiting to die. Despite all of them having free will, none of them seem to have any idea of what to do next. Even the three most independant, Simon, Josh and North are stuck in this cycle. When Markus arrives they latch onto his ideas and start following him, even when they disagree with his decisions. When androids in game gain their freedom, they look for something to do. In Kara's case she went deviant to protect Alice, and everything she does after that is basically an extention of that goal. With Connor we are presented with a series of choices building to whether or not we choose free will or following our programming, or if you have decided very carefully through the game, you will have locked out free will. Which brings us to Markus. Markus, is a seemingly unique RK200, who was given to Carl Manfred by Elijah Kamski. After Carl and Markus spend time together they develop a sort of father/son bond, which is why Leo is so opposed to Markus, and Carl, in his role as a father, begins to educate Markus. One of his most important lessons is for Markus to make decisions for himself and live with the consequences of those decisions. Few androids have this education, and so when Markus, or later Connor, grant them free will, they are suddenly left not knowing what to do with themselves, and are in immediate need of guidance, and so they latch on to whatever is suggested, such as the ST300 at Stratford Tower. When Markus grants her free will, she does what she can to explore her free will by following Markus's suggestion to help him gain access beyond the security gate. After that she seems to have been left to her own devices. We never see androids turn against Markus because, frankly they have no idea what to do with their own free will, and need external guidance to help them adjust to having that ability to decide what to do for themselves. If left on their own, then they may simply fall back into their old habits, or programming. This is why Markus is not presented in the best light. Whether consciously or not, Markus is freeing androids and then exploiting them to suit his own agenda. Yes the androids have free will, but they have no idea what to do with it and follow Markus because he is giving them a sense of purpose, even if only briefly. Basically, he is replacing their former masters with himself. Individuals will naturally follow leaders. Leaders are individuals who make decisions. The newly freed androids have never had to make a decision on their own and so follow the leader before them, and the course that leader chooses. Even Josh, Simon and North, who all have their own ideas on how Jericho should be run, can't make decisions, which is why they follow Markus. The real question for me is, what happens to all those androids after they have been freed. Again take the ST300 at Stratford Tower. She used her free will to help Markus, but then what? Without further guidance she can only fall back on her programming. I'm not sure which is worse, Markus weilding followers as his own private army, or freeing androids and then abandoning them to their fate?
I feel the twist of Alice being an android is an unfortunate mistake in the writing of this game. Connor's plotline of believing deviants are bad and their feelings are only errors in their programming, Markus's plotline of trying to gain freedom for androids and most notably to be treated as equals with humans... Kara alongside these stories was supposed to be Connor's foil and Markus's proof of concept, that an android and a human can not only exist together as living beings, but even share such a bond that they consider each other family. It proves Markus's entire arc and encourages the player to understand that its possible to achieve his goals because we are seeing it happen in miniature. But then Alice is an android, so it's just an android living with another android, and doesn't have any meaning anymore. The only thing that changes is that now if Kara is captured Alice will die too, instead of going to a foster care as a human. A large part of this departure from concept comes from the fact that the Kara plotline wasn't originally in the game. It was supposed to just be Connor and Markus, and Kara was a character that showed up in a tech demo before the game was made. Then during development fans asked for her to be put in, so she was added as a third character. I also wonder if Alice was ever deviant, or there's the question of how a deviant "child" android would behave. She pretended to need food, sleep, and didn't understand that she was cold due to a setting in her program. It's possible she was just following her programming of a normal child in a unique situation. The only thing that counters this is her question at Rose's house "Why do they hate us?" But even then the "us" could just be referring to the familial group, and not them as androids. Otherwise fantastic game. I have thoroughly enjoyed your playthrough, as with all your videos.
What I interpreted is that because Alice is also an android, Kara has passed the Kamski test. I think the game has had enough proof that humans and androids can work together peacefully, especially through Carl and Markus' interactions or Rose and Kara's. The question that Alice's android status raises is that Kara the android could not tell the difference between a real, human girl whom she could be a mother to, and an android girl whom she could be a mother to. It is in some sense degrading towards androids to think that they could only love humans. They were programmed to love humans, to serve them and keep them happy. However, as Kamski says, he is more interested in seeing whether androids can develop love for each other and have empathy for another of their own. While he forces the idea onto Connor, Kara is not forced in any sense. Whether Kara accepts Alice, whether she be human or android is a choice by Kara, of whether Kara can love an android like she can love a human being. And if she can, then there is no distinction between the two, and Kara has true empathy for another android. Were Alice a human then nothing was proven and we could blame Kara's love for Alice on her design and programming; what she was built to do, to protect a human child. As for Alice being a deviant, probably not. She behaved very much so like any child would to the point of movie stereotypes, and I think that was the idea behind her dialogue.
AFAIK, Alice *was* originally conceptualised as a human child - in fact, she was originally Black with white adoptive parents. A lot of old concept art had that Alice with Kara in it, so I feel like changing her to have always been an android was a very last minute decision. And yes, I don't much like it either. Sure, there's probably some test there for the player on whether they feel different about her now that she's not human, but I personally find the original concept more compelling and interesting. Markus' love interest was originally human too, before she was changed into North. They seemed to have really reduced a lot of the planned human/android relationships to it only really being Hank and Connor left.
Alice herself knew that Kara had a desire for her to be a human. She didn't want to tell Kara that she was an android and she said something to that effect to Luther. But there are darker paths for them in this game, that show the depth of their bond even being androids. kamski I believe, wanted something more for androids than them being slaves or army fodder so he did indeed plant deviancy. And who better to instill humanity in Markus than Carl? Someone who would nurture and help him.
There was one more hint about Alice - what mother would leave her child with dangerous and abusive drug addict? (well, there are few like that, but this was also hint to some extent).
You're the first person to notice the Tracie's I've seen!! I also haven't seen the very end with Connor! I think you have to be close enough friends for that scene!
My playthrough in the last few sections was completely different, especially with Kara, and it got extremely chaotic. Cyn's playthrough probably got the best possible ending in the game.
Can i just say you are the first person ive watched that has pretty much chosen almost all the decisions i would have made. Which is great, because it means ive found a youtuber that thinks simular to me in games and i can watch without getting frustrated XD
your playthrough scratched an itch in my brain, you have such intelligent insights and were super observant in playing the game. just subscribed, can't wait to watch you play more choice-based games!
I think the point of Alice's story twist was an ultimate position swap to the player. The entire story, you're playing from a position to "help" androids and so when you find out that one of the human you've been helping was actually an android all along, do you feel jaded? And it appears that a lot of people did feel jaded, which contradicts the perceived approach in how you, as the player, played the game. Did you help androids because you were genuinely interested in helping to support a group of marginalized individuals, or did you do it because you were fulfilling a social expectation? I think people's personal reaction to the Alice twist reveals a lot about the individual.
I admit my reaction was negative, but not because I felt differently about Alice. I was disappointed because her and Kara's relationship represented a bridge between humans and androids and hope that we can get along. Then they're like " nevermind, they were both androids the whole time". I don't doubt the way I feel towards the androids because my gut response is always to attack when they start shooting innocent androids. It legitimately made me angry and wanting to stomp those cops. My main criticism about the game is that while they did a great job portraying the unsympathetic side of humanity, they severely downplayed the sympathetic side. Hank, Carl and Rosa are basically the only nice humans in the story. I feel like realistically humans would be a lot more divided on the issue and a lot of humans would even side with the androids if it came to armed conflict.
I don't understand the need some seem to have to look down on those who dislike the twist. We saw to a lot of Alice's "needs" like hunger and sleep that were fake--of course that feels bad. We thought Kara was on the run for child abduction, not "malfunctioning machines" like literally every other android. My compassion for androids and acknowledgment of them as people isn't reduced because I feel child androids are a disturbing/controversial concept in the first place, even without all the tension/satisfaction it removes from Kara's story, or how convenient for writers it was to not have to worry about ratings issues when Alice gets shot. I'm fully with TRC; love androids, hate the twist.
@@WynneLExactly it's not that I dislike Alice for being a robot, it's that it feels like we lost time, if she is a robot behave like it, they could avoid many problems if she just used her non human skills, and then when she is safe with Kara she can roleplay being a kid, like the chapter when they have to find a place to sleep, omg she could just turn off the cold sense and sleep safely in the car without risking anything because it doesn't even matter, why let Kara risk her life for nothing
Besides John and other minor characters, I'm so shocked that you've unintentionally basically did a no death run of this game. Like, not even Connor died once and it's so easy to get him killed multiple times lol I've never seen a no death run done with someone doing a blind playthrough of this game, congrats lol
After finishing the game I recommend going through the "extras menu", There's more content like videos that add more world building and show more about cyberlife. Really interesting stuff to watch if you want to see a bit more about the story.
Really loved your playthrough, so clean, you didn't even make small errors for the ending you were trying to achieve. Loved your insights, can't wait to see more from you :). Most people don't get nearly as deep into the Kamski/Carl theories, so that was enjoyable to see you flush that out.
In the press conference scene there was a term that made me shiver "The android question" there were a group of Germans in the 1930 that had a similar term but with another group of people and history repeats itself
You absolutely nailed this game. Connor didn't die even once and everyone made it! The way you summarize the story is amazing and you made me think about little aspects in the game I didn't think through thoroughly. Your way of playing is awesome, loving your content!
Another amazing playthrough! I actually really like that this finale is longer because it feels more epic! This has been a joy to watch Cyn, thank you!
first time ive seen someone play dbh so flawlessly on yt and also picking up a lot of details i see ppl miss and that i wasnt screaming at my screen for their choices
If you’ve never played a Telltale game, I highly recommend it at some point, primarily the Walking Dead but there are other great decision based games from them too.
Ive binged watched all the episodes and omg am I inlove with the way you play the game🙏 I have tried watching multiple other playthroughs of this game but most people made hasty decisions, irrational choices and chose violent options. I liked the way you thought of everything and found myself agreeing with a lot of your choices :D Just overall a lovely playthrough and amazing videos
you totally nailed that connor-hank dynamic! people can interpret it in their own way but imo i also see them as a father and son duo, hank saw cole in connor but the difference is that connor can be replaced but cole will never comeback:( that's why he was so hostile in the beginning
Connor: IM NOT A DEVIANT Connor a few hours later after one (1) convo with Markus: I am Devaint Con: "They're going to attack Jericho" Markus: W H A T 😂😂
What a great playthrough! So glad I found this channel. Can barely remember but I'm pretty sure Kara et al ended up crossing to Canada in a boat on my original playthrough, I think I might've given the family their tickets back
Every year or so, I go back and watch another playthrough of this (I can't get enough) but your considered commentary and introspection throughout added so much value to the viewing experience. Definitely my favourite playthrough of this game. Now I'll just have to catch up on the rest of the channel's series!
Wow Cyn you are such a good gamer. You made all the right decisions it was like watching a movie. I also loved how everyone survived in Until Dawn you are extremely smart. The way you solved that RDR2 statue puzzle blew my mind! I am so glad I found your channel blessing to you!
you are seriously insanely smart with your theory thinking. i dont think anyone i have watched play this got this into depth about everything that happened. loved the play through!
In the CyberLife tower basement you can tell which Connor is real (you) by looking at their serial number under their model ID (RX800) on the front of their suit. The fake Connor's serial number ends with -60, while the real Connor's ends with -51 + the amount of times Connor died (eg. Connor died twice = ends with -53). But if Connor dies on every possible ocassion (Total of 9 deaths, look on Fandom for missions), then both Connors will have a number ending in -60, so it will be impossible to tell.
this perfect playthrough would have been pretty surprising if I hadn't seen you play several other games before. this one was just an addition to your perfect pile. you're genuinely one of the most pleasant streamers there is out there, can't wait to see the follow up of Hollow Knight !
Bryan Dechart the actor who plays Connor has multiple play throughs on UA-cam and twitch if anyone is looking for more of this game. Tons of behind the scenes info/tidbits and behind the scenes videos during his intermissions.
I feel like it's worthwhile to say that Cole was 6 when he died 3 years before the game takes place so Connor being some sort of representation or replacement of Hank's son is wrong and I think if it were true it would cheapen the relationship. Hank and Connor have an amazing friendship independant of other characters in the game.
"Replacement" certainly feels wrong, but maybe _another_ son. He does literally call Connor "son" at some point if you make a choice that ends up getting Connor injured in the TV tower, if I recall correctly.
Great playthrough ! No one seems to notice that the family picture in Alice's treasure box shows a completely different girl. Your the 1st one I've seen who even noticed the different hair color. Another big clue is that she never ever eats anything during the whole game. You were also on the right track when Alice was saying " Why do humans hate us" and used "we" as well. Then you got thrown off. Also Ralph at the abandoned house says " Girl? She's not a little girl." Another big game clue that no one notices is at Zlatko's. When at the start of the scenario you talk to him in the living room you can see that his hands are covered in android blue blood. I agree that Kamski specifically made Markus to spread deviancy and gave him to Carl for the reasons you said. As I said earlier Markus is much closer to being like a human in his interactions with carl compared to the other androids.
They're all representing deviancy. Markus by Kamski, Connor by Cyberlife, Kara by glitch. (Maybe the meta theory from the early tech demo that she's the first 'naturally' deviant android, rA9 (Kara 9?), starting the spread which theoretically Kamski and Cyberlife only exploited.) The idea for Kara would go that she went deviant, spread it to Alice, got hit back by Todd and reset, and that's your start. She was passed around by multiple owners and had a rebellious streak already. Really its easy to believe they're all peak deviancy, just in different ways, origins, perspectives.
You're pretty good. You completed your first playthrough without losing a single main character. I'm impressed and even a little jealous. On my first playthrough I lost Luther, Alice and Kara by the end of the tanker raid episode. Which was easily the most teary-eyed part of my experience. Then I lost Simon and Josh in the fanale.
Amazing Content. I'd have ton more to say, but everything would end up to how great and satisfying was watching you playthrough this great game. So Thank you, Cyn. Can't wait too see what's next!
I just finished watching all of your DBH playthroughs and I felt the need to comment something. I really enjoyed watching you play this game. Normally I get very nervous watching people play story-based games because they usually make pretty dumb decisions or rush through the game without exploring. This was a remarkably good playthrough though and I probably wouldn't have changed anything. I will definitely check out more of your content. Keep it up! :)
I have watched your playthrough I think three times now and I absolutely love it. I love how connected you are to the story and the characters and the way that you navigate through all of the problems so smartly!
Loved your recap of this video. Great player and a great play through. I had to laugh at Kara getting through the border to Canada right at the moment things became safe in the US. They could have just waited at the station until the government made the U turn and then caught the bus freely.
Tbh,this is the very first playthrough I’ve seen here in youtube that their’s Simon didn’t die…like, your playthrough Save/make Simon stay akive until the very end and I really really thankful for that..so thank you for being the best player here in youtube✨💚
That reveal about what happened to Cole is possibly my favorite part of the game. I tear up every time. Though to be honest, all Connor had to do to prove he was the real one was to suggest they turn all the androids deviant. The copy Connor would have had to let them accomplish their mission or out himself.
Absolutely loved your play through! You were so observant and made such great decisions. It’s been the third let’s play I’ve watched since I finished playing it myself and I enjoyed yours the most. Thank you!!
Just adding these infos because i think they're awesome : about Connor, the moment he was in the broadcast tower, at first i didn't know why he lied to Hank, but we saw his model was RK800, and Marcus was RK200 ! Both are prototypes of the same model series, which implies that maybe they have the same abilities. We see at the end how Connor can convert too
Finally someone who keeps the bus tickets. I feel like you have to be able to make that decision, it's too good to not do it. Its survival instinct, to me at least. A lot of people return the tickets!
Everyone is talking about the annoying robot girl reveal, but what's really interesting to me is the idea/theory that their creator could easily fabricate the whole thing. He was giving me a villain vibes from the start. Maybe he just written a fake storyline for deviants? Maybe the whole uprising was fabricated by Kamski? What if non of them are actually "free"? Maybe he just infected every other droid using a virus, a virus that was placed inside of Markus, his own prototype. A virus that only mimics free will? What if Markus is just brainwashing them instead of giving them an actual choice? It could easily be just an illusion. if cyberlife could take control from Connor, I'm sure Kamski could do it at any moment to all of them. What if his goal is not free will? What if Kamski just wanted to create his own army? He surly had a god complex. Now he can be a king to a group of people who think they are free, but in reality he has full control over them. A perfect dictator. He would become the new king of that world. And he surly seemed like a guy with a huge ego. I think that could be an interesting twist for the sequel.
Hi Cyn, thoroughly enjoyed your play-through and look forward to the next one. Detroit, Become Human is a great game; very thought provoking but the lack of save points would have stressed me out far too much. You're right, it would have been better to have Alice be human for the reasons you stated.
Really cool watching (I've never played this game before) so it was very entertaining to watch along side your playthough (which I loved all your choices on the playthough, such an awesome ending). If you do end up playing this again, I'll happily watch again. My main theory was they were never "rouge" just loose on their programing (Kara is always a Mother figure, Marcus was seen as a One of Kind World Changer from the beginning, and Conner was always determined to accomplish the mission) so I thought the final ending would be a twist, revealing they were always meant to be "deviant" and act the way they did, so the entire game was the idea they were programmed to do all the choices the player made (which Conner to some degree was). Nevertheless, love the playthough. Keep up the great work!
Well done fantastic playthrough. Throughly enjoyed you playing Cyn. No other game in the history of gaming has EIGHTY FIVE Different endings!!! Detroit is an absolutely fantastic. Sublime game. Fantasticly written. Directed. Scored and acted on. Easily inside my top 10 favourite games of all time! I would LOVE Quantic Dream to do a sequel!
Personally the Alice reveal annoyed me. It felt like such a cheap plot twist for "shock" value (but let's be honest, no one was shocked), but I think it would have been much more interesting for an android to raise a human child and growing that family bond despite being different species, Kara risking everything to protect a human etc. Like other comments pointed out- android/ android love have already been covered plenty but not so much android/ human love.
My Kara and Alice died on Jerico. While playing dead I kinda waited too long for the "dont move" or "protect alice" they started shooting the bodies so I pressed "protect alice" cause I thought they gonna shoot either way. REALLY sad ending for em. Both get shot and Alice asks Kara "Are we free now?" Kara says yes and both die... btw Kara and Alice story is COMPLETELY optional they can die in the first mission. FUN FACT: The actor that plays Carl played the Android in Alien.
I really hope you go for another playthrough after this to try for alternate scenarios. The last few chapters have COMPLETELY different situations of you go violent with Markus, or if you don't have Connor deviate and/or don't find Jericho. Also Connor can die like eight different times, and if Markus does, North will lead Jericho in your honor. There's even a situation where you can nuke the city, or where North literally gives Markus her heart to keep going. It's CRAZY and BRILLIANT. Also, please Netflix make a buddy cop series with Connor and Hank.
@@romanjancura9651 yeah idk if i can pick tbh 😭 what makes me love this game a lot is connor and hank especially, but i love the main character of beyond two souls also.
Wow, had the same thoughts on the Alice reveal. The bond between Alice and Kara had a stronger significance if they had remained as human and android. Also, Connor's story is my favorite!
23:34 I like the Connors derpy expression. :D Btw the Chloe menu is pretty amazing. She wish you a merry christmass, new year and many other anniversaries. It is mindblowing when you turn on the game and she does that.
If you want to see other Detroit become human playthroughs check put Bryan Dechart's let's play at Dechart Games. He's the actor who plays Connor. Liked listening to his behind the scenes commentary while playing.
I got all the way up to what I think is the last chapter today. I just did the part where everyone meets in Jericho, which was freaking amazing to have everything come together. Was super tense. so awesome when Conner comes down the hall shooting. Gonna watch your vid up to that point then stop to not spoil anything and watch the rest tomorrow after beating the game. What a ride this game is. One of my favs.
I just realized she went through this entire game without getting Connor killed once. Wow!
I watched a guy who had Connor killed 4 times. SAD
Bc she’s actually good at the game ur smartest human on earth
This was the best ending i’ve seen any youtuber get! :) Bravo!
@Airrack wait why??? /gen
Personally I feel no empathy or connection to robots and machines.
yeah ---- this twist was obvious and stupid ---- the entire line of kara is to keep alice warm and feed ---- witch is complet nonsence
Best possible ending for all three characters first try? Now that's impressive. Great playthrough!
tbh the game is very easy ---- got the same in my first play trough
The revolution path also ends well for all 3 of them unless you mess it up.
@@therainbowconnection6813 ------------ not if conor is a maschine .......

Just subbed
You read my mind

KaliWali also was an intelligent player when she played this.
@@carterolson8516 omg yes absolutely!!
Also Alice being human would’ve really solidified Markus’ whole reason for wanting to be free and living amongst humans. She would’ve been living proof that “Hey, I was raised by androids and I’ve turned out great” and people would’ve understood or at least be more sympathetic and open-minded.
I truly wish it stayed like that, the reveal of her being an android only hurt the story.
Kara and Alice's entire story wouldnt make sense if Alice was human. After escaping from Todd, the obvious thing to do with a human child would be to hand her over to child protection services. The whole necessity to flee and to risk everything to get to Canada only exists because Alice is an android.
@@icaine16 Agreed. Worst writing decision of the game, easily. Ruins Kara's story tbh

@@rudy_4ierlosing characters early, relationships not developing, androids not receiving any kind of freedom
Notice Connor had more obstacles to destroy in order to fully become deviant, after all he was a prototype so he was more secure
so was markus
Too bad I did the good endings first - Chloe must hate my guts after my last, violent playthrough.
i saw an ending where a dude lost luther, then alice, and then kara all one after the other at the very end. the worst possible ending.
This might be the first playthrough I have ever seen that went flawlessly, favorite one by far.
This was beautiful. Your playthrough was probably one of the smoothest and the sweetest for sure. I'm really glad the game is so nonlinear - many scenes could go veeeery differently depending on your choices.
I'm actually surprised you didn't run into Todd at the bus stop.
Carl: You're my son Markus
Me: *Turns into a sobbing mess*😭
Absolutely the best play through I've seen so far. You were so attentive to detail and your decisions all made so much sense!
Besides John and other minor characters, I'm so shocked that you've unintentionally basically did a no death run of this game. you are seriously insanely smart with your theory thinking. i dont think anyone i have watched play this got this into depth about everything that happened. loved the play through!
Aw, It's already done. Great series, Cyn.

the best ending! i love your gameplay so much!
She's not a little girl."
Another big game clue that no one notices is at Zlatko's.
Congrats on clearing this game with the “best” happy ending!
This was by far my favourite lets play of this game
Amazing Content. I'd have ton more to say, but everything would end up to how great and satisfying was watching you playthrough this great game. So Thank you, Cyn. Can't wait too see what's next!
I just finished watching all of your DBH playthroughs and I felt the need to comment something. I really enjoyed watching you play this game. Normally I get very nervous watching people play story-based games because they usually make pretty dumb decisions or rush through the game without exploring. This was a remarkably good playthrough though and I probably wouldn't have changed anything. I will definitely check out more of your content. Keep it up! :)
Same glad Markus didn't got sacrificed by luck, and would change that she didn't meet Todd at the bus station for the redemption
I have watched your playthrough I think three times now and I absolutely love it. I love how connected you are to the story and the characters and the way that you navigate through all of the problems so smartly!
Just binged your playthrough and it's indcredible to me how much attention you pay to the details..next level
The developers had about 5000 pages of manuscript for this great game. So, plenty of options. Of course, nothing can be infinite.
Loved your recap of this video. Great player and a great play through. I had to laugh at Kara getting through the border to Canada right at the moment things became safe in the US. They could have just waited at the station until the government made the U turn and then caught the bus freely.
Tbh,this is the very first playthrough I’ve seen here in youtube that their’s Simon didn’t die…like, your playthrough Save/make Simon stay akive until the very end and I really really thankful for that..so thank you for being the best player here in youtube✨💚
loved the big recap/thoughts you shared at the end. thanks for the great playthrough!
That reveal about what happened to Cole is possibly my favorite part of the game. I tear up every time. Though to be honest, all Connor had to do to prove he was the real one was to suggest they turn all the androids deviant. The copy Connor would have had to let them accomplish their mission or out himself.
Subscribed!
I believe your gameplay is the best one i've ever seen. Love your choices!
55:04 Gordon! The Citadel's on full alert! I've never seen it lit up like that!
You most definitely need to replay this and make completely different choices and see how different it can be. Well worth it IMO
I think that could be an interesting twist for the sequel.
best and smartest play through i’ve seen yet. you killed that
Hi Cyn, thoroughly enjoyed your play-through and look forward to the next one. Detroit, Become Human is a great game; very thought provoking but the lack of save points would have stressed me out far too much. You're right, it would have been better to have Alice be human for the reasons you stated.
Wake up! Wake up! Wake up! Um, so, is that elevator the only way out of here? Max: 8 persons. FFfffff******* meee.
Literally the best play through of this game that I’ve seen
I agree This game really set the bar for branching story games like this. This is the leval of choice that these games should have.
I like your analysis of the game... also is fun watching you play. Thanks
You got every single good ending!! Good job!! I made so many mistakes on my first playthrough lol. This was a blast to watch :)
yay !! enjoyed this playthrough sm and glad you liked the game too, both other two games (heavy rain and beyond two souls) are also amazing tbh.
I loved Beyond Two Souls! Even more than Detroit.
@@romanjancura9651 yeah idk if i can pick tbh 😭 what makes me love this game a lot is connor and hank especially, but i love the main character of beyond two souls also.
Can't wait for your next playthrough series.
Cyn the quicktime queen! I love your gameplay and your thoughtful take on the game.
Wow, had the same thoughts on the Alice reveal. The bond between Alice and Kara had a stronger significance if they had remained as human and android. Also, Connor's story is my favorite!
You are a GOD gamer! I think this is the best ending for everyone I've ever seen
I was wondering myself if Kamski created deviants as revenge for getting fired or was fired because he was caught making androids deviant.
I wish you would have looked at the world stats during your playthrough. I would have liked to see how rare some of your choices were.
Outstanding playthrough, I feel like these games were made for you.
Good job, I got this ending too but I couldn't save Luther and Hank on my first playthrough.
Hello Cynthetic! Yes, it’s the finale and a 2 hour version of this episode! You did an amazing job playing this game a job well done
57:00 the agent wanted to take you to the marketing department...
