- For those familiar with the No Nonsense Weapon Guide Series, this is nothing new. However, since the PC release of Rise, I have recieved feedback to include inputs for other controllers. With Rise releasing for basically all platforms on January 20th 2023, I thought this was the perfect time to provide that update. To be clear, this is not a complete re-do, I've simply included the buttons for Playstation and Xbox in the video, so if you have to mute it to help yourself learn, then do what you gotta do. Anyway, I hope you guys find this helpful!

Literally what the title says, NO NONSENSE, also I love how you put every available inputs, as other videos I have watched doesn't have them which confuses the hell out of me because of the mental conversion. This type of video for Monster Hunter Guides is a HUGE W. Thank you.

To those who want to use the Swaxe I recommend one or two points of evade extender.

Where can I find that?
It's an armor skill. From memory, jyruratodus and nargacuga sets have it. You can also craft decorations to slot into other armor pieces.
I watched all the other UA-camrs guides. 45-60min. And literally, nothing stick to my head after, you are salvation

There's one more combo you can do, which immediately goes into the Morph double slash. If you press Circle then triangle before the second swing, on your next morph you'll instantly go into a double sword morph slash, which can be combo'd into a triple sword slash, then back into a double axe morph slash. So Circle, Triangle (right before the second swing), Morph, Circle, Morph, repeat.
I've been thinking on switching from dual blades to switchaxe for a while now since it looks the coolest in my opinion. Your video just gave me the final push to try it, thanks!

This is exactly what I did a couple of days ago! It took a while to get used to the slower, more committed attacks, but it's a crazy fun weapon! I opted to keep the first switch skill so that I at least have an invincibility ability for clutch moments like the dual blades. I find swaxe to be the most fun in online hunts since you don't get aggro 100% of the time which allows you to freely attack whatever parts you want (especially with the enhanced discharge)

Rapid morph is the only armor skill requirement for swax. Everything else is cherry on top. Evade extender 1-2 for comfort. In sword mode, a-a-ZR-ZR-a-a should be your go to combo. The wild swing combo isn’t a big requirement for ele or exhaust phial swax since they get full really quick. Soaring wyvern is a better option than invincible gambit. It is recommended but not a necessity. You should always be switching back forth between sword and axe.
As for cb, there is two way to play: saed spam and pizza cutter. For saed spam the goal is to charge the shield with phials, then get more phials, then release said phials. The combo route is complicated sure but very satisfying when the saed connects. Skill requirements are artillery (for impact phials), load up, ele attack up +5 (for ele phials), guard 1-5 (again preference). Recommended switch skills: condensed sword(?) mode, axe hopper, and cpp (I forgot the name, community calls it cpp; highly recommended). It gets more complicated once you get to combo routes and guard pointing.
You can access pizza cutter cb by changing switch skill condensed sword mode (I think that’s the name) to condensed spinning slash. To go to css, press ZR+a-y(hold button). Press and hold y or a to perform css attack. Recommended skills: evade extender 1-2, guard 1-5 (for switch skill ready stance). Recommended switch skills: morphing advance and cpp(for low-hi rank), ready stance and air dash ( master rank).
SA good for taking out tails if you can get the ele discharge down right and mount that tail, I usually can get 2 of them in per charge.

You can, you unlock it in sunbreak. I believe you can swap it out with the recharge switch skill

My only complaint with this vid is you verbally say the buttons but they are the wrong buttons for both inputs so it's just Unnecessarily confusing

This guide was for base Rise and only covers the very basics. Its just updated for the console versions coming out
