There are good ones been married to my wife for 23years.. She refused money offered by her father not to marry me. She hates what her family represents always has . When we married we didn't have much she refused a posh wedding rather we spent our money setting up home and on our son.£700 wedding later that my wife and friends did everything for making nearly everthing. Even as we've had more money over the years she refuses to buy anything that's not on sale. Only a since the kids started working has she stopped spending her birthday money and Christmas money on them.She grew up with out love our family may not have what she did but they'd have love. DNA test should be mandatory at child birth BEFORE the father is added to a birth certificate regardless of marital status. This would help reduce a lot of problems due to being in a relationship with a cheater and liar. For IFV couples, donor couples, they go into this knowing the truth upfront and it's not an issue about paternity as it is with an unfaithful spouse.

Sharon, a friend if mine found out accidently that he was adopted when he was 63. The couple that adopted him had already passed away. It sent him into a whirlwind of who, what and where. He is 75 now. He searched and found several bio family members but his bio mom had already died. Well, in a few minutes his entire identity had been destroyed, through no fault of his own. His father was no longer his father his biological father isn't in his life. His mother it appears lied and manipulated his dad for 20 years, his family just fell apart in front of him and how he viewed everyone in it has changed forever. At this point I think he just didnt want to go through it all again at a trial focused around his own paternity fraud. Heartbreaking, but I understand his reaction from a personal standpoint.

I am very blessed. My three adopted brothers see me and act as if my blood flowed through their veins. They were adopted at ages 7,8 and 10 yrs. As I have told them multiple times, they may not be the sons of my loins but they are the sons of my heart. We adopted them 29 years ago. I am retired military and was sent to college to complete my degree and get my commission. We cleared housing, got the cable box turned in, met the judge and had the adoption ceremony and still made the flight from Hawaii to Virginia so I could complete my degree and commission. I neither could nor would have taken that path without my sons being in our lives.
There are biological fathers who should not father children, but if you have a father who loves you, even though you are not biologically his, receive the blessing and leave it there.

Well, in a few minutes his entire identity had been destroyed, through no fault of his own. His father was no longer his father his biological father isn't in his life. His mother it appears lied and manipulated his dad for 20 years, his family just fell apart in front of him and how he viewed everyone in it has changed forever. At this point I think he just didnt want to go through it all again at a trial focused around his own paternity fraud. Heartbreaking, but I understand his reaction from a personal standpoint.

as someone who went through some tought times like so many on this planet, i spent a few years running with ladies of the night and like some of the comment below say, blood does not make you a good parent, its the heart conditon that does. when i talked to these ladies that i got to know very well, they went through hell from their blood mother and the hurt caused them to turn to drugs to bury it but it never does. my grandfather was a substitute but it did not matter to him or me and we had a great relationship and some very fond memories. when you understand what harm has been done to people on this planet by the dark ones that have taken over, i would not want to be their souls when the universe says enough is enough and wipes this planet clean just as the bible says and all must have an accounting for their actions.

I am very blessed. My three adopted brothers see me and act as if my blood flowed through their veins. They were adopted at ages 7,8 and 10 yrs. As I have told them multiple times, they may not be the sons of my loins but they are the sons of my heart. We adopted them 29 years ago. I am retired military and was sent to college to complete my degree and get my commission. We cleared housing, got the cable box turned in, met the judge and had the adoption ceremony and still made the flight from Hawaii to Virginia so I could complete my degree and commission. I neither could nor would have taken that path without my sons being in our lives.

There are biological fathers who should not father children, but if you have a father who loves you, even though you are not biologically his, receive the blessing and leave it there.

I adopted my oldest son when he was 12 and my youngest son when he was 36 (his bio father died when he was in high school and wasn't available for all those years, especially when he was in Afghanistan where both of them got blown up and severely wounded; I simply couldn't say no. I just wish I could've been there for him during those horrible war years).
The eldest was too afraid to face the truth.. and probably in a confused stage in his life to understand his father had gone through so much. Hopefully he grows some balls and understands that some things have limits, and when their crossed, you dont just look the other way.

This happened to my son his wife of 14yr divorce him and he found how that his 3 daughters are not his. He has to pay child support. How could a person do this and get away with it .it makes me sick .being a grandma to these 3 little girls who have no idea its very hard .

If CF is genetic, how does it get passed on when people with CF cannot have children?

So, both parents can be normal (not have the disease) because they each have one normal gene, which is dominant but each of them carry the recessive gene for the disease without knowing. I wish people would stop referring to the biological father as the real father. The real father is the person who raised you. The biological father is simply the person who gave biomaterials so you could be born. Ask the child who is the real father and he will usually say the person who raised him not the person who supplied the biomaterial.
