@@RuzgarYldrm-zj9ec Yeah, they probably should shrink the map. I heard they were making servers that could fit 120 people, but rarely will it reach that capacity. They need to focus on 20-30 player servers.
Fun fact. At the last time I checked, there was SCP-457 and another is SCP-280 (Burning man and eyse in the dark) Also fun fact: SCP-457 have female model ... Yes, she literally hot.
I think this game should go for the niche player of SL who is interested into playing the game competitively, make it more of an arcade experience with short fast rounds, it wont topple SL but it can cover the niches that SL doesnt
I was honestly hoping for a less arcade-y, more complex playstyle with longer rounds, more safe SCPs and interactions, longer life expectancy (marginally). It doesn't have to be 'realistic' but I'd like it to be more complex.
So I think there's 3 SCP's from what I've read in the comments and from my experience: 173 which has the whole blink mechanic and can't move when being looked at thing, can destroy doors, can move very fast and can kill when the target isn't looking (no strangle mechanic afaik) Burning dude which can burn open doors and slowly wanders towards a target, killing them when touching them. They also have some aoe aura which damages or slows maybe? SCP 280 which I've never seen but someone just said was rare but in the game
It seems fundamentally scuffed and hopefully the creators entertain becoming more like SL. Maybe I'm just not getting it. Maintaining 'realism' as well as having a fun arcade experience is hard.
Yeah.. the game seems to be trying to be a realistic shooter but has ended up being an arcadey shooter with 10 minute segments of nothing happening in between. Unfortunately it doesn't facilitate any sort of roleplay with its objectives so I honestly can't see this game exploding like SL did. The whole reason SL got so popular was because of content creators roleplaying and goofing around, that doesn't seem possible in this game when it takes 20 minutes to find even one person.
I can see this being a new thing, with all the people ditching SCP SL (I might myself) soleley because of how shit the place is (more child predators than a Chris Hansen montage) with even Northwood themselves covering it up and downplaying it. Definetly needs a lot of cleaning up, tons of buttons. And if the place is too big it needs to find a way to shrink it over time. Battle Royales have a storm, SL has decontamination and the nuke I see a lot of youtubers covering this which might help. Having the prongs lock down could be a good one.

I dont really like making the security's objective to just kill the class d Secret lab feels a bit more realistic in that area, and it also makes it more engaging Because all though the d class are a disposable resource, their still a resource, the foundation won't waste if they don't have to. It's also just more engaging for all players, if d class have the choice to either cooperate with the foundation or try and escape. Besides giving d class more options, it also makes it more riveting for other teams, makes them a tiny bit paranoid, does this d class have a gun? Is he going to try and backstab me? In SL it feels more like a mission, just killing the d class makes it feel more like an arbitrary video game quest
I am seeing the reviews in steam, it's a paid game and it does not look good. Even someone said "this didn't took 9 years, this took 9 weeks" 🤣 i kinda see potential, but in this state? yeah no, and i wouldn't pay for it neither.

i hope this game improves their graphics and lighting at some point because it hurts my eyes to look at anything that isnt what kadava is holding in his hand
Interesting premise, but like they said, there are a LOT of bugs from what it looks like. Does not seem like a good thing to play while they are still ironing things out, and maybe (im not sure) it would have been a good idea to make it free while it is this buggy, or something. I really really do not want to spend money on a game that looks like this, at least as of now.
Im less than a minute in and you've said something that has prompted me to leave this comment. You say that SL got popular because of it's role play and teaming. You say teaming with a sort of disdain, an certain disapproval. You then go on to say how here that isn't something you can do as it's your objective to kill the D-class, and if you didn't do that, you're "throwing the game" which is correct. However, the way it's said implies that winning is the intended way to have fun, or at the very least it is for you. You have to remember people like to screw around to have fun, or sometimes actively fail to have fun. There are even the people who work against their team to have fun. I could be totally wrong about how you see things, as I'm not you, but what you said comes across as a bit simple minded.
I'm looking at the game form the perspective of the average player. When SL first released the game had enough freedom to actually mess around with randoms the majority of the time, it even does with its current version because of how freely the games objectives work. This game gives you a bunch of weapons, ammo, armour, scatters guns around the map like a battle royale where D-Class can get them easily and spawns you near their spawn points. The very loadouts alone are telling the player to kill all the d-class, what else is there to do? That's the problem with having the game run off of a very linear objective based system where only one person can "win". Yes winning is about as arbitrary as in SL but in EC you have literally nothing else you can do. To facilitate roleplay and a good experience of progression for players, the game needs to give the player options - the only option in this game is killing. There is no secondary goal, there is no super powerful item you could find and work towards, there is no nuke to activate, there is no dream loadout you can look for, there is no passive effects you can stack from items you find, nothing. You are given a loadout with the best possible equipment already and you're given one objective. In SL if I spawn as a facility guard I know that SCP's are the main threat because there's multiple of them and the maps small enough that I'll run into them. Also in SL I can escort D-Class out so they can join my side, mechanically making it more likely for people to not KOS, EC doesn't have that. In SL I start with a bare bones loadout as a facility guard and I'm given several options where I can improve said loadout (914, LCZ armoury, Acquiring a blue card from 106/096 etc.), including gaining passive buffs from SCP items, a potentially game ending keycard (O5) and an item designed to kill the biggest threat in the facility (the micro for SCP's). I don't care about teaming, I team in the majority of my SL games and in a lot of my videos. If the game does EVERYTHING to make teaming the worst option, the average player isn't going to want to team or be silly. SL kind of has this with guards trusting D-class who could have pistols but EC's situation is far worse because the guards game objective is to kill the DClass and the DClass is likely to find a gun early on in the round - this naturally creates a barrier of distrust between the two players. The game is more of a battle royale then a roleplaying sandbox shooter. Battle royales don't facilitate roleplay between random lobbies of up to 120 people.
SCP:SLs appeal is the social aspect, and from what I’ve seen this game has basically none of that, even the objectives detract from the social aspect, like MTF having to kill literally anyone who isn’t mtf, including scientists and guards. This game is awful, anyone crying “it’s early access they’re gonna fix it” is stupid asf, too. That excuse has been run dry by every early access game that never improved after release. If the game isn’t fun or good at all in early access, it probably won’t be fun or good in the future.
So it doesn't fix any of the more questionable game design choices that Secret Lab did, it's more janky that Secret Lab ever was, and most of the game is spent walking around just trying to locate the exit and not being menaced by other players because the map's so labyrinthine and big. Why exactly does this game exist again?
Game is good, but calling it "THE SCPSL KILLER!!" is both waaay to pre-emptive and just not accurate. SL aint as good as it used to be, but it'll always be THE multiplayer SCP game
It looks okay, but it obviously needs work. Very little co-op, facility is too big with barely any signs of where you've been or where to go. I can see the spy working with the SCPs to escape. Like lying to your 'allies' and leading them into a trap. Maybe a 'escape at any cost' to make it more open ended. This allows you more incentive to work with the SCPs or other people. Lay low before striking. Facility Guards and stuff. Rather than kill D-Class on-site, why not just a simple 'Contain the facility at any cost'. D-Class is dangerous, especially with weapons, but I can expect SCPs to equally be a threat if they escape. Contain the SCPs or neutralize them. Humans are humans and so fleshy while you have things like body armor if no one gave them any. I can see which is winning. Plus, it allows for some funny RP or betrayals. 'Sorry D-Boy, company policy, no one can know'. Or the D-Class winning the fight instead. Could be more fun that way. The breathing is a bit intrusive. It's realistic, but very loud. The view bob is realistic, but can be nauseating for some. An option to remove it would be good. Elevator too long personally and can be a bit boring for some to wait. More signs around the place explaining where everything is (Definitely not OSHA approved, not even a Fire Exit sign!) Just more options to know where you are, more opened roles for better RP rather than 'Eliminate everyone' and if you really wanted, some good betrayal wins. Options are good in video games, go figure. Not trying to rag on the devs, they definitely worked hard, but they just made it a bit TOO realistic and more 'Hard locked' into a role instead of giving the player options to negotiate with other roles to live, just fight instead. Fighting can be fun, but funny conversations and personality can make a game even better.
Agreed. It's not incredibly noticable when playing (still very annoying) but 100% as a viewing experience it sucks, you can't adjust it in the settings either :(
Ignoring the bugs, it doesnt really seem to improve on SL at all. Just more running trough barren corridors. Guess its set up nicely to go that hypothetical capture the flag shooter game, SL proposed to become. (cant say i care for that personally)

In SL you have the option to escort out DClass to put them on your team, meaning there's more benefit to you keeping them alive, in this game there's no such thing.
Bro why does every video game community want their game to be overshadowed and die 😭 people will play the game even if there’s one that most people like better calm down

SCP:SL schizophrenia update
Where’s the goofy. This game will never kill sl
thoughts on an SCP extraction shooter game. This game has the asthetic of one I feel.
its interesting, but i wouldnt play it, atleast not right now, the animations of the different caracters and the skins are a bit to ... strange ?
it could topple sl if the animations were better
At first I thought this was roblox for a second
Yeah, no. This game is not going anywhere near SL
Why does this look like Roblox graphics
Can you play as an SCP in the game?
You can, there's currently SCP-173 and another one which is basically a dude on fire. The SCP's aren't too engaging and because of the map layout they're not super common to come across
@@KadavaSmile dude on fire is prob 457
View bobbing? Immediately the answer is no.
