Violence broke out around an event organised by the Eritrean embassy to mark Revolution Day on September 1, which commemorates the start of the Eritrean War of Independence against Ethiopia in 1961.
Over 100 people were injured in violent clashes in Tel Aviv on Saturday. The clashes broke out between Eritrean government supporters celebrating an Eritrea Day event and opponents of President Isaias Afwerki.

I'm Eritrean and I'm against the brutal government in Eritrea but the protesters in blue shirts are not Eritreans, they are from Tigray Ethiopia and they are pretending to be Eritreans because the government in Eritrea was siding with Ethiopia during the war in Tigray in the last two years in which Tigray was defeated and surrendered.

The "dictator" narrative is so convenient! In the first place, this was a festival of their Eritrean heritage and culture organized by the community there as is done elsewhere in Europe and Nort America. The large majority of rioters in blue T-shirts are from northern Ethiopia, a province adjacent to Eritrean who speak the same language as half of the Eritrean population. They are pretending to be Eritreans opposing the government and using it as a pretext to attack Eritreans going to the festival peacefully, thus denigrating the community as a whole.
The leaders of this extremist and terrorist group have recently been observed exchanging their plans and calling for attacks on Eritrean festivals as well as churches and embassies. Police in Israel as well as elsewhere have been forewarned. For some reason the necessary precaution has not been taken even as this group violently attacked and inured Eritreans Germany and Sweden.
Unless security officials recognize these individuals for what they are and punish them for their crimes, the West should consider it as encouraging terrorism in its own backyard! This is not about legitimate political opposition, but about the right of citizens to for equal protection. Eritreans should be allowed to assemble peacefully as other members of society in those countries (Europe, North America and the Middle East).
