He’s incorrect when he states they didn’t take draftees into airborne training I was at fort Lewis Washington in the summer of 1968 going through advanced infantry training the army called it advanced individual training anyway we were at least 90 percent draftees there was a few RA regular army not many anyway we were constantly asked if we wanted to go to fort Benning Georgia for airborne training some of the draftees went I decided not to because I knew where I was going to Vietnam I wanted to start my tour and get it over with…Vietnam 68/69 25th infantry division…

Hmm, I’ll have to go back and rewatch that part! But Jerry was a draftee and joined the airborne!
