Just picked one of these up for $249. We sighted it in at the store then ran it though their chronograph to see if it really lived up to the 370 advertised speed. Like you, we were getting 360 to 362 consistently. While we were talking about it one of the "experts" came over and put a few drops of hoppy gun oil on each side of the rail and rub it in good. Chronographed it again and we were 374 and 375 on 4 arrows! I have never thought of that but the reduced friction on the rail makes sense and I could not argue with the speed increase!
I just bought the upgrade Centerpoint Sniper Elite 385 at Blain's Farm and Fleet last week on clearance for $199.99 marked down from $375.00..First Centerpoint that I've ever owned and can't wait to get out there and fire it..Great video sir..👍😁
Just picked up the specialist 370xl which is an updated version for $199 and the thing is absolutely amazing for the price. Just like the sniper 370, the repeatability of the this thing is deadly accurate. This is my first crossbow and can’t wait to drop that first buck with it.
I'm sold. Enough said. I have an older tenpoint from 1999 that still performs like a champ. It was the top of the line that year. Only problem is, it only shoots at 315 fps with 400 grains total weight. At 60 yards, I have to aim almost 4 ft above the target. I'm looking to get another one cheap. This looks like the one. Thanks for the great review.
I have had my sniper 370 for two years, four deer with it so far. The butt stock made a little noise but just set it where you need it and tape it in place no rattle from the stock. I have no problem shooting 50 yards, very accurate.great bow for the money, better than some bows for 2 to 3 times the money.
just got mine this mourning comes in around 360 to 370 as advertised went through about 15 -18 shots never dropped below 360 for me, I'm a very happy customer.
Just ordered this for my 13 year old for Christmas! He goes hunting with his uncle, my brother but doesn't have his own bow. And my brother said I chose well!
$219 today at Cabela's. Test fired it. Was awesome. Came to $199 with credit application. Really like the adjustable stock. Watching your video I learned you can adjust the foregrip. Thank you.
Excellent review, My Beautiful wife and I just bought one today for 199.00 , this is her first Bow , She's actually from Brazil and this will be her first time hunting with her own bow , Last year she sat with me in our 2 man ladder , I just told her as I'm watching this video , Honey tomorrow lets go get one for me ! 😁😁😁
Just got mine bought my own Christmas gift got it online at Walmart for 194 could not believe in Academy was selling it for 249 so I went to buy it online got it early one day early from the reviews I think I'm going to be very happy with this purchase I would recommend everybody get a crossbow like this
I bought mine in Canada for exactly $300.00 in NL (Newfoundland) where they're Illegal for hunting. Stock bolts sucked. All they had were Excalliber carbon bolts at nearly 12.00 each. Great selection of tips, broadhead, deployment heads, bullet heads, 125 grain sharp points. My first time shooting a X bow (always a gun guy)--very impressed with the sniper.
I own this bow and I am happy to say that it is better than anyone I have ever shot or used before. A little bit heavy but it is durable, rugged and comfortable as you can adjust everything to your liking. Snag one if you can.
I bought one from my local Cabela's store this past Dec 4, 2019. It was on sale for $234.99 I had $30.00 coupon and $70.00 reward points to use so I got mine for $134.99 and l've been having a blast ever since. It is accurate, fast. And I can't wait to get a hog, a turkey and a buck in that order.
It's listed on Amazon for $238 now! This is my third season with mine and I love it. Stay away from the mechanical broadheads and life is good! I dropped a nice Kansas 10 pointer at 25 yards the first week of November this season!
not a bad deer but in unit 15 we have monster bucks in 2018 i got a 17 point if you cont both sides it was heavy body deer grain feed around here thank you mr leslie
Check the string pressure on the rail, due to the alignment of the bow. I tilted mine downward, raising the cams and nearly eliminating drag. The drawstring is straight instead of crowned over the rail. Shoots faster and more accurate. Used hot glue. Am happy with it
Thanks for that nice review Rick. I own a Camo Sniper. Fell in love with it at first site. Was originally looking for a bow. But this crossbow stole my heart. Got mine at Amazon. My only gripe, and it is not with the crossbow. It is the so called manual I got with my sniper. Looked like it was poorly xeroxed, and kind of small. But it isn't hard figuring how to put it together. Enjoy!
I bought a Centerpoint sniper elite 370 whisper which is a version with saver limbs, here in Italy where I live it costs around €350. This crossbow if equipped with hha speed optimizer, bipod, high magnification optics and selected zombie slayer bolt allows groupings under 1 cm at 90 meters, for the price it has it is an incredibile crossbow
This is third season with mine. No complaints at all. Get rid of the stock arrows, they are very inconsistent in weight and accuracy. I use the easton bloodlines with a 100 gr tip and it is very accurate out to 65 yards. Not promoting shooting deer at that distance, but I did take down a coyote at 75 yards with it.
Ronnie, are you meaning the arrows/bolts are loud or the crossbow ? xbows are inherently going to be louder due to the amount of energy being released. Just recently a buddy of mine bought an Excalibur Assasin and he spent around $1600 on it. It is very nice and I love the crank cocking feature. Too both are surprise, it is not really much quieter than my Sniper and it is shooting around 340 fps with a hunting arrow. If your Sniper has any other noise than the thunk from the string, then I would seriously suggest checking all those set allen heads. I did find that mine were working loose, I used a touch of locktite on them. Also the stock is famous for being a bit loose. You can dip the stock slide tube in liquid tape or wrap it, same with boot strap. The stock adjustment lever is also a noise maker, once you get the stock set where you like it. You can lock down that adjustment lever. Sorry forgot the name of them, but I did add some limb sound dampeners. Happy hunting..... DJ
Got me the Center Point Specialist XL 370. The specs are exactly the same. Only difference is the stock (still adjustable) , the quiver is parallel to the stock which I like & the scope is reticle (non illuminated) & works great except I wish it was illuminated. This is a powerful crossbow & will compete with many of the high price bows for "punch & accuracy"!
This bow is an excellent deal for the money I have shot a deer at 50 yards the deer never jumped after the arrow was completely through love it best bang-for-the-buck I would not go more than 50yds on a deer. That was my max.
Would you think this crossbow would be ok for my 6 year old daughter from a ground blind and the front supported by a trigger stick? My concern is if the stock is short enough for her arms.
Thanks for the video. Was looking at it because my 10 year old daughter wants to hunt. After seeing your review I'm definitely going to get her one. Thanks
Right now you can get it in black and camo on amazon prime for $249. One more thing about this, you can swap out the buttstock with any AR buttstock. You can swap out the pistol grip with any AR pistol grip. Also that grip up front can be swapped out for any AR forward picatinny grip. Pretty sweet deal for $249. By the way, you do know we can't answer you... right? 😆
Been shooting crossbow 4 bout 30 years since the Barnett came out with there 150 pound pull crossbow, this bow after being tricked out and tuned, this bow is better than any bow I've had 4 the money, I want to try the airbow, but sticking to convince, 450 to 375 fps is not that much different, pretty much the same amount of damage with no air tank,,, good review
I'm a bit late to finding this but you are cocking it wrong and need to be careful. The rope rocker hooks should never be on the outside of the string stops. Always hug them close to the flight rail.
How is the string release? Is it just a plaque or a ledge that pushes the string up and it will release or does it hold it like a finger over the string? Best wishes mate
I was looking at this crossbow along with the barnnet whitetail hunter str. I ended up getting the barnnet. I wished I had gotten the sniper instead. I believe I will still get it before season comes in.
reddog24playa1 I couldn’t find one but I did find a center point patriot 415. I just got it last night . I’m going in a little while to set it up and shoot it and see how it performs. It looks just like the sniper the way it is set up. Hope I’m not disappointed.
reddog24playa1 I’m glad I got this crossbow. Long story short I have the bone collector by 400 target and I hit small circles with the black dots in them at 80 yards twice back to back. One on the left top and the other on the right side. I would show the picture but I don’t know how to download it on here. I’m very pleased with the accuracy.
But how do they shoot in the winter time does freezing temperature affect it shooting a tour will if break being caught like that in the winter @ like 0 degrees
I've wrapped my cocking string around the forward base of the stock with quality electrical tape. After cocking, the string and handles don't seem to get in the way, they just hang well before the trigger area. In place to re cock for a second shot. Has anyone else done this. Is there any dangers I'm unaware of? It's convenient, and i never have to look for my string.
I have a question is your limb still good on your crossbow because I have 2 of them that has busted limbs on them One's a Patriot and the others a javelin Right where the limbs leave the riser that's where they're starting to crack at
Just bought the gladiator center point after watching your review enjoy your channel have bow hunted for several years a recent service related injury forces me to hunt with a xbow my question is what kind of target are you guys using to stop these arrows sorry bolts my regular target isn't cutting it and my bolts are taking a beating
what target would you recommend with this bone? I have a morrel bone collector for crossbow and the bolts goes right up to the nock and ruins the vanes
I always take old clothes, rags ,towels layer them in a 13gal trash bag till 10 inches thick, shrink rap into a square put that in a weather resistant feed bag, duck tape that square, top and bottom. Works great, usual 2 finger removal, best to keep target inside when not shooting.
I have this crossbow and found it works great with field points. I tried both mechanical and broad heads with poor accuracy. Can you recommend a bolt & broad head combinations?
Now, that's a review. My only wonder is quality over 5+ years. But, at that price you could replace it every 2-3 years and still be ahead versus dropping a grand on a bow. My brother just dropped almost 1k on a centerpoint titan I believe it's called. Shoots the same speed but does have the acudraw system and it's a better scope I would imagine.
shooter1721 , THANKS!! 2 inch groups @ 75 yds, thats freikin amazing! Im getting one. My longest shot would be 40-50 yds & rare at that. Bears thou.... thats a 5-6 inch heart shot. Can do!! Thanks again! 😁
What broadheads is everybody that owns one of these running out of this? I'm thinking about running the ramcat originals anybody had luck with them? And thank you for a reply
Just another question. This comes with bolts and tips that weigh 370 grains, My brother shots another brand of crossbow and uses killzones crossbow broadhead at 125 grains, What weight of bolt should be the proper size? Thank you
Really great review thanks! Think you that now it is still so good crossbow or there is even something similar out there for that price? For example what you think about Guillotine_x from Ek Archery, 400fps that in Italy costs the same.. like 289€? Tnx a lot for any advice!
Joey Krodinger don’t get rage there over priced I got some fixed Blade Broadheads from Cabela’s and shot my first deer on January 1st and it ran 50 yards and dropped don’t have to spend extra money there all going to drop a deer
i got my sniper 370 last month and still have yet to shoot. also thank you for chronographing. have you tried any other arrows or different arrow weights to see what works best? i read the sniper tends to like 425-450grn arrows the best, just wonder if there is any truth to that.
We haven't tried any other arrows yet at this point but hopefully will have some more videos with some different ones coming soon! Thanks for watching!!
I use easton bloodlines with 100 grain tip. Did some upgrades, changed string and I get around 360 FPS consistently. What more other than a crank type cocking device could you want for the money.
What broadheads is everybody that owns one of these running out of this? I'm thinking about running the ramcat originals anybody had luck with them? And thank you for a reply
I shoot rage 2" out of mine....dead on and never had a deploy early....
It cuts 2" from start to finish and they bleed out in a hurry.....
I use rage ..can't go wrong

At 350 FPS it will drop pretty much anything
Just another question. This comes with bolts and tips that weigh 370 grains, My brother shots another brand of crossbow and uses killzones crossbow broadhead at 125 grains, What weight of bolt should be the proper size? Thank you
370 with tip minium..400 gr ideal!1
Excellent vid!
Celebrate with a beer 🍻
Really great review thanks! Think you that now it is still so good crossbow or there is even something similar out there for that price? For example what you think about Guillotine_x from Ek Archery, 400fps that in Italy costs the same.. like 289€? Tnx a lot for any advice!
I got one many years ago under a different name called Hell Hawk. Also Man Kung Stalker.
This is my first crossbow I'm gonna buy what type of broad heads should I get
Joey Krodinger rage
Anthony Churilla thanks
I just got this crossbow today
Joey Krodinger don’t get rage there over priced I got some fixed Blade Broadheads from Cabela’s and shot my first deer on January 1st and it ran 50 yards and dropped don’t have to spend extra money there all going to drop a deer
Had one for two years now. The draw weight if you do like I have done, forget to bring your cocking rope, it's a bit hard but doable3
i got my sniper 370 last month and still have yet to shoot. also thank you for chronographing. have you tried any other arrows or different arrow weights to see what works best? i read the sniper tends to like 425-450grn arrows the best, just wonder if there is any truth to that.
370 gr. minium 400 gr. ideal try Black Eagle .001 t.i.r. 48$ on amazon for utmost accuracy!!
Could you review the center point Tormentor whisper 380?
+Collin Clyne I will contact center point and ask them to send one .
